Direct booking cancellation fees

The following applies to direct bookings made via both Clickstay and Rentalsystems.

On request booking: cancelled by the owner

There is no charge.

On request booking: cancelled by the renter

There is no charge.

Confirmed booking where deposit is paid and balance is not overdue: cancelled by the owner

Owner is charged Clickstay's 3% payment fee & Stripe fees. Renter is refunded everything they have paid.

Confirmed booking where deposit is paid and balance is not overdue: cancelled by the renter

Renter is charged the deposit. Owner keeps deposit, minus Clickstay 3% payment fee & Stripe fee.

Confirmed booking that is fully paid (including breakage cover): cancelled by owner

Renter is refunded everything they have paid. Our system automatically refunds the full amount from your Stripe account, including Clickstay's 3% payment fee, Stripe fees, and the Non-Refundable Breakage Waiver (if purchased by the renter).

Confirmed booking that is fully paid (including breakage cover): cancelled by renter

Renter is charged the deposit and a percentage of the balance.
Deposit: owner keeps deposit minus Clickstay 3% payment fee & Stripe fees.
Balance: the owners receives this based on the cancellation terms for the property.
Breakage cover: Refundable breakage deposit is refunded. Breakage waiver is not refunded.
