We had a lovely, comfortable stay at the Croft, there was plenty of attention to detail and we certainly couldn't fault anything. The location is great set up on the hillside, but very handy for local amenities too.

We had a fantastic stay at The Croft, and Cathy was a super welcoming host, who also kindly gave us a lovely welcome pack of homemade and local produce.
The house itself is beautiful, had everything we needed and a spectacular location with views to Rothbury and the surrounding hills.
We would definately go back.

We had a fantastic week in this gorgeous accomodation. The view is to die for and in a great location to explore Alnwick and the Northumberland coastlline. Really can't fault it. Cathy is a wonderful host.

Cathy is a friendly, extremely helpful host, and the cottage is beautiful, stunningly situated and with many thoughtful touches. The welcome basket was generous and delicious, for which we were most grateful, and the house is warm and full of character and light.
It would be as well to be aware that the entrance is slightly tricky for anyone with limited mobility, as there is a decking ramp to step over and down , into the front door. We were fine, as would be anyone who hasn't sight or mobility issues.
The views are wonderful, the town of Rothbury is well-served and attractive, and there are great walks from the door, as well as plenty of other places to visit in the area. Thank you very much for a most enjoyable, comfortable week, Cathy. We very much hope to be able to return.

A lovely house offered by a very friendly and helpful owner, Cathy. On arrival we were made very welcome. The house is in a great location on a hill overlooking Rothbury and the Croquet valley. The hill is steep but we enjoyed the exercise and was not an issue. For us, the location was perfect with walks from the door up on the 'Terraces' and a short walk into town. There is also a lot of places to visit a short drive away, such as Simonside, Cragside and The Cheviots as well as the coast. The house is also very dog friendly, we just needed to keep an eye out for Cathy's cats! We would definitely recommend.

I have run my holiday cottage for over 10 years now and enjoy providing guests with the little extras that ensure they have a great holiday. I live next door to The Croft so am on hand if guests need any help but the cottage is very private with its own terrace and garden.
