A beautiful character Cottage in the centre of the popular rural Village of Rothbury.

Overview

Heather View is a beautiful character Cottage in the centre of the Village of Rothbury, Northumberland. Located just a few seconds walk from the Village centre off a side street, Heather View is the ideal base from which to explore the area. Comfortably sleeping up to four people, Heather View is pet friendly and all the Villages pubs, cafes and shops are within very easy walking distance.

The Cottage is brand new to the holiday rental market in August 2017. While I don't have reviews for this property as of yet, please see my other reviews (100+) to show the standard of accommodation I offer around the Village.

Heather View has the added bonus of being dual aspect in every room in the house, so that means there's plenty of natural light and a feeling of space. The Living Room has comfy sofas, a log burning stove, LCD TV with sky and a DVD player.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, the master offers a roll top bath in the room! The Cottage is pet friendly and we are happy to allow one well behaved dog or two small dogs (please message before booking). There is on street parking opposite the Cottage available during your stay. High chair an travel cot can be provided on request, please make sure to mention this when booking so that I can have them ready for you during your stay.

We have stayed at Heather View on 3 occasions now and it doesn't disappoint.
The cottage is cosy and comfortable and well appointed and is an ideal base to explore Rothbury and the surrounding area including the fabulous beaches.
The central location of Heather View in the town means you're never more than a 2 minute walk from restaurants, pubs and shops. An evening meal at Bewick's is highly recommended.
We are hoping to return to Heather View next year.

A beautiful, comfortable house in great position in this lovely Market town. Beautiful river walks two minutes away and some excellent places to eat in the town. Recommend Mensa, Italian restaurant and Turks head Sunday lunch! The house was a welcome retreat on our two wet days! Very cosy and warm. Dog enjoyed it too. Very friendly helpful, neighbours.
Well equipped and thoughtfully furnished. Near to lots of places of interest and good walking in surrounding areas. Coast easily accessible - a great position to explore this part of Northumberland. Hope to visit again and would highly recommend.

Heather View is ideally situated just off Rothbury High Street. It is a good size with ample facilities such as a dishwasher and washing machine.
The furnishings weren't to our taste but that's down to the individual. We just felt like someone had grabbed any old furniture and put it in. A lot of it was scuffed and had seen better days (apologies if this should have been taken as shabby chique)
Cleanliness on the whole was good apart from the light shades which were really dusty, not a pretty sight when laid in bed looking up.
The main bedroom goes from front to back, a really good size but the curtains are unlined so we were woken by 5am each morning with the light coming in, not ideal on holiday when a sleep in would be nice. Also the bath in the room has been patched up paint wise on the inside, I wouldn't use it.
There is a small outside seating area which is a lovely sun trap. This could be made so much better by re varnishing the chairs and maybe painting the walls white.
On the whole we enjoyed our stay but those few little things just took the edge off, the cottage didn't seem loved which is a shame.

Really loved our stay super area to explore cottage was warm and spacious and neighbour lovely .
Only difficulty was parking and unloading as the space was used by someone else but parking in high street if not .
Will be back

Beautiful cosy cottage! It was perfect for our festive December holiday. Such a scenic part of the UK. We enjoyed the convenient central, but quiet, Rothbury location and loved popping out to the bakeries, restaurants and shops! Not to mention the spectacular scenary on the drives to local sites of Bamburgh castle, Wallington hall, Cragside, Alnwick, Morpeth etc!! Loved using the log burner and relaxing infront of the fire at the end of the day! Thank you!

We've stayed in Northumberland a few times but never in Rothbury so decided we'd give it a go. The house was without doubt the best equipped we've rented. At some properties it feels the owners haven't lived there to realise what's needed for a decent stay, it's not the case at Heather View. Great location in the centre of the village and parking wasn't an issue all week. Great cottage and facilities. Lovely welcome with the fire being set up and ready to go. We really couldn't fault anything with the house at all!

In Rothbury itself there are a few great pubs and restaurants, as well as butchers, bakeries and a Co-Op that meant we didn't need to travel anywhere for shopping.

We couldn't recommend the house or the location any more highly!
