Ethie Lodge is an attractive, first floor apartment that is part of a small, late Victorian terrace that was built by Lord Armstrong of Cragside. It is situated in a Conservation Area in Rothbury.

Overview

Ethie Lodge is packed with character and charm, sleeping up to four people in the heart of the Village of Rothbury which lies on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Ethie Lodge is part of the 'Model Buildings' terrace which was built by Lord Armstrong. It is located a stone's throw from the river Coquet which offers a play park and beautiful walks along the river. To the front of the building is the Village centre with its range of shops, cafes and pubs.

The property offers two bedrooms (one kingsize and one twin), a large bathroom with wc and bath with shower over, open plan kitchen, living/dining area with a log burning stove and private secured yard.

All bed linen and towels are provided as well as tea towels, kitchen roll, toilet rolls and washing up liquid.

Parking is on street near to the property. Ethie Lodge is dog friendly, we welcome one well behaved dog (occasionally two by prior arrangement depending on breed).

Please note that the apartment is accessed via a pedestrian walkway and a flight of stone stair and as such is not suitable for those with limited mobility. We also offer ground floor accommodation in this building so please get in touch if this is what you require.

We had a wonderful stay at Ethie Lodge. The accommodation is in a great location for local areas of interest, with great views of the hills in the distance. It is a stone’s throw away from the village square, National Trust Cragside and some great countryside walks from the doorstep. We found the village to have lots of life in it, with people always milling around, and all you need with a butchers, convenience store and most importantly the village bakery! The accommodation is very well presented, spacious and airy with lots of light. I could not recommend it more, and very much plan for a return visit at some point.

This was a beautiful place to stay - we absolutely loved it!
It was so much nicer than it looked in the pictures; beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
The open plan space is just lovely and you don't get a sense of it from the pics.
Go and stay there - you won't regret it!
The tiny issue was that the oven was not a fan one.
This is far from insurmountable, but unusual these days.
Rothbury itself is lovely too - a great holiday time, thank you.

I cant praise this property enough, very well looked after. It has everything you need.
It is so well placed , right in the centre of Rothbury a very lovely Village.
with all the amenities you are likely to need, Hotels , pubs , shops all in a few minutes of the property.
There were only the two of us , had there been another couple or two children Ethie Lodge would be perfect.

Many thanks especially Andrew.
