This was our third visit to Rothbury and also our third time staying at Westcliffe, the first at Coquet View. This was a lovely apartment with an amazing view over the Coquet Valley.
The property was in a perfect location to explore the area. We enjoyed visiting Cragside and Wallington, both National Trust properties and well worth a visit. We went on day trips to Hadrian's Wall, visited Brinkburn Priory and Warkworth Castle. The highlight of our stay was a boat trip out to the Farne Islands.
A great apartment in a perfect location making for the perfect holiday
We enjoyed our stay very much as the views were amazing Waking up everyday with that view was stunning!
Could not fault the apartment inside as it was spacious and clean and well furnished!
We were a little bit disappointed with the building as it needs the fascia renewing as one piece came loose and was hanging from the roof would recommend it be mended before the winter.
Loved the area beautiful drives and walks everywhere!
Loved the apartment - it’s location was perfect and the on-site facilities were really good. It was just missing an airer to dry damp clothes (unfortunately we experienced a fair bit of rain).
We did have an issue with the beds though - they were the most uncomfortable we have ever experienced. The double bed mattress was so soft we tried to sleep in the single beds but those mattresses were as bad. Neither of us had a good nights sleep the whole fortnight. Still loved being in Rothbury though.
Lovely apartment , spacious and well appointed. Beautiful views from the patio doors in lounge and bedroom. Comfortable beds and sofas made our stay home from home.
A very enjoyable stay in a great property in a wonderful location with a great outlook. Rothbury is a most attractive settlement in an area of great scenery and with lots to do close-by. Cragside house and grounds close to Rothbury is particularly recommended. Apartment very comfortable and the balconies and alternative patio area were much appreciated in the hot weather. Lovely walks from the house.
