The Scholar’s House welcomes families, friends and dogs.
The moment you arrive at The Scholar’s House you will start to unwind and feel immediately at home.
The layout of the property ensures there's ample space for 4 persons to kick back and relax.
The large, modern, open planned kitchen/dining room is spacious and bright. The cupboards are well stocked with all equipment needed to enjoy dining at home, plus having the dinning area in the same room means that the social aspect can continue throughout and that precious moments aren't lost.
There are patio door that open from the dining area into the garden if you fancy setting up an alfresco dining affair!
Each bedroom is uniquely styled and welcoming. The linen is scrumptious and the beds are so inviting. Bedrooms can be made into 4 singles or one room can be a twin and the other made into a King size bed. There's also the option of a sofa bed in the sun lounge. The Scholar’s House endeavours to cater for all.
The splendid lounge with beautiful Ercol pieces, book cases filled with books and games and then the welcoming wood burning stove is the perfect spot after a long day exploring all the beauty spots Scotland has to offer!
For those that love to relax watching Netflix or listening to music don't worry we have you covered with our SMART Sony Bravia TV and Sonos sound system.
The fully modernised bathroom is equipped with walk in shower and full length bath, perfect for soaking away whilst reminiscing about your day.
At The Scholar’s House we provide guests with Sea Kelp toiletries, sea kelp grows wild in Scotland and is naturally rich in minerals and anti-oxidants.
Our guests will love the choice or being able to wrap themselves in our lush, fluffy white towels or drape themselves in our super soft dressing gowns. There's also the addition of an extra toilet in the property so as no one is left waiting too long!
Another unique spot is the wonderfully light sun lounge, in the summer its super warm, with the patio doors opened and the breeze coming in, sipping on your Limoncello you might for just a moment think you're in the Mediterranean!
The property has a large, well equipped utility/boot room perfect area to leave your muddy boots and jackets before entering the main house.
Should guests wish to bring bikes with them we provide a lockable garage for safety.
The large garden has many secluded sun trap spots. However its not completely enclosed and small dogs might find their way out through the thick hedges! There is a small patio round the back when both gates are closed will provide a safe place for dogs!

Two friends, connected over their love of the countryside and walking, decided to return home to Scotland, buy plots on the Caledonian Railway line, and build their houses next to one another. The Scholar’s House is one of those houses. The house belonged to the Head Mistress who had a passion for learning, and a love of nature and animals.
So what are you waiting for!
We can't wait wait to welcome you to The Scholar’s House.
There's parking for 1 car at the property and a free car park 100 yards from the property.
The village of Comrie is beautiful and filled with wonderful shops offering talented artists work and delicious delis, farm shops and bakeries.
Strathearn is surrounded with fabulous walks, Munros, bike trails, rivers, lochs and pools perfect for dipping and wild swimming, fine dining restaurants and street food spots. Pubs and cafes all offering a warm Scottish welcome.
We allow two dogs to stay. We do charge 20 pounds per pet per stay as we must deep clean to remove allergens for future guests.
Dogs must not be allowed in the bedrooms or on any soft furnishings.
The property is situated opposite the small village school so 9am and 3pm Monday through to Friday drop off and collect time is when its busiest. Parents must collect their children on foot.
Once the children have gone home and in the school holidays villagers are allowed to use the small play park situated in the grounds as long as they respect the premises and leave it as they find it.
