We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in the cabin. Robin was an excellent communicator and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The cabin was warm and comfortable with great facilities to make a meal and relax. There was a hot tub nearby which we enjoyed and there are many fantastic walks in the beautiful strangford area from the door. Balloo House is a short drive which has a fantastic food menu. Overall a restful and peaceful stay. Robin is in the process of building a new cabin/hot tub so I hope we get to come back and experience that one day!! Many thanks Robin

The accommodation which included the cabin was as described - clean, tidy and exactly what we wanted for our stay. We had a small problem with the lock on a door which I am sure Robin has sorted by now.
The area is simply stunning and there are a lot of good value and extremely tasty restaurants in the locality.
Robin, our host was friendly and efficient, contacting me to arrange our meet and greet promptly.
It was difficult to find the property on the web, and I think a slicker website would pay dividends for the owners - but then again, that would almost certainly mean we would not have been able to book our stay because it was full!

One word describes our stay in the lodge at Bayview House, exceptional. From initial dealings with Robin right through to the breakfast on our morning of departure, it was an absolute joy. I had booked the stay as a surprise for my wife's birthday. The main event was supposed to be a meal at the nearby Balloo House. I had initially struggled to find accommodation until I made contact with Robin. I surprised my wife that morning and we set off. I was a little nervous as I knew little about the place, but I couldn't of gotten it more right. It was private, romantic, luxurious and in a word perfect for our night away. Highlight of the day was drinking champagne in the hot tub looking out over the stunning views of the lough.
Rumour has it Robin had been left in charge for the weekend as his wife was away, and all I can say is he did an excellent job as host. Little touches that meant a lot included a happy birthday banner put up in our room along with a very generous lift to the restaurant that evening. His communication throughout was excellent and he was obliging in all of my requests given that it was a secret getaway.
My only complaint is how hard it was to come across on the internet whilst searching for somewhere to stay. This place deserves to be held up in high esteem if only for its peaceful location, stunning views and all round quality of stay. It has left a lasting memory on two people who also stay regularly in some of the well known 4 and 5 star hotels in the province. Balloo House has been ticked off. I guess we will just have to visit one of the other fantastic restaurants in the area just to get another night at Bayview House!!

A glorious location for a quiet stay. Warm welcome, great breakfasts and a comfortable bed. What more can one ask for. Several good places to eat very well locally.
