Excellent - 5***** Left on Aug 21, 2018 for a stay in Jul 2018 My teenage daughters and I had a wonderful holiday here. Villa and pool are excellent, pool and outside area cleaned every morning. But the view is the most spectacular thing, every morning with a cup of coffee, whilst the girls slept (!) I sat and drank in the beautiful view. Roger was great, even giving me a lift back to the villa one morning from the supermarket! Villa owners very responsive and helpful Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Kalkan is beautiful with picturesque small streets and an abundance of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. However it was Villa Teshir that made our holiday. It has a good location, a 10 minute downhill stroll to the harbour. The return journey taking longer but there are plenty of taxis! The pool and gardens were tended to daily , and had spectacular views of the bay and mountains. Inside the villa was tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything for a perfect stay. Our two teenagers were particularly impressed with the quality of the wifi. Lots of thought had been put in to make us feel welcome, with extra touches that exceeded our expectations. Roger was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and nothing seemed to much trouble for him. The only downside was that we had to come home!

The villa itself is furnished and maintained to an exceptionally high standard throughout. Everything you can wish for being available. Being part of a group of 4 - two couples - it was brilliant to have so much space outside to let you take yourself away for a quiet read; with the added bonus it was always possible to find sun or shade throughout the day. The pool; immaculately kept by the pool man who came early every morning to ensure all was well and hose the patio down but in a unobtrusive way; never did we feel disturbed. I must mention the upper terrace!! If you do one thing please have drinks there before going out for your evening meal – we loved it! Again; very comfy seating and views of the bay. The whole villa has a feeling of care and pride taken by its owners and Roger, the manager, is knowledgeable about the area and on hand should you need him (not that we did). Kalkan is a very pretty, traditional fishing village with plenty of restaurants and local shops so that you could spend a very happy 2 weeks there without even leaving the village. This is not the first time we have visited Villa Teshir and it will certainly not be our last – nothing has been compromised or watered down since our last visit – ‘pride and care’ are obviously the catch words for the owners, Gill and Ray. Thank you once again for sharing your home with us!

Amazing villa - 5***** Left on Sep 1, 2017 for a stay in Aug 2017 This villa and Kalkan will not disappoint, they're beautiful. The transfer, which was arranged for us was brilliant,villa really well equipped and the views and pool are amazing. 10 minute walk into town, but unless you're fit, and in the heat, it's a hard walk back... taxi inexpensive though. Kalkan is a bit of a hidden gem,the people are so friendly and welcoming, the food is really,really good, not one bad meal and not expensive. Roger, the agent was marvellous, came to make sure we were settled in and gave us loads of tips, our flight was at 6pm , we had to leave the villa at 11am and he just gave us the keys for the villa next door until our pick up later in the day. We didn't want to leave ! We're going back for sure. Thank you Ray and Gill for everything

What a gem! - 5***** Left on Aug 7, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017 1 people found this review helpful We arrived very late at the villa with breakfast essentials already stocked for us plus a week's supply of filtered water. A lovely touch. Villa Teshir certainly lived up to our expectations. It is charmingly beautiful. The surrounding garden and pool were well maintained. The views of Kalkan bay and mountain from the terraces and balcony were simply stunning. Our favourite spot in the evenings was the cosy balcony with the gorgeous bougainvilleas. Villa Teshir is ideally located, close to Kalkan old town, a 15 minute leisurely walk down the hill. Taxis back to the villa only cost 10-12 TL. Ray and Gill were fantastic and really helpful. We had a very comfortable stay and an amazing time. Thank you!

Fabulous! Just as all the reviews have said. - 5***** Left on Jul 26, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017 I read up on all the reviews for Villa Teshir before deciding to book, and we have not been disappointed. The villa is perfect. Ideal for a small group with stunning views, nooks and shades to escape the heat (if you choose) and all the basic amenities you require. The aircon keeps everything comfortable too. The pool is a decent size (for Kalkan) clean and perfect for a dip. The wifi is good and the beds are comfy enough for a decent nights sleep. The snug is heaven!! and if you're not careful you may dose off here into the early hours of the morning. Ray is extremely attentive and helpful, quick to respond to any mail enquiry and Roger is The Man to assist locally...and he does this brilliantly. What a top bloke! We have had a wonderful holiday. Teshir made it work for us. No unpleasant surprises, just a great villa in a cracking location. ....Kalkan did the rest and is beautiful. We have been charmed. Everyone is so friendly. Sun everyday. Great excursions and the best food we have had....How can anyone tire of this? Book this place and you shouldn't be disappointed. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday. We hope to return soon.

Tolle Villa mit atemberaubender Aussicht - 5***** Left on Jul 17, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017 Kalkan bietet für jeden etwas. Es hatte ettliche Restaurants mit gutem Essen. Wir hatten unseren Spass am Jetskifahren. Ausflüge machten wir an die schönen Strände von Kaputas und Patara. Auch Kas war nach kurzer Autofahrt zu erreichen. Die Villa Teshir bot alles was es brauchte. Geschätzt haben wir sehr, dass schon alles vorhanden war. (Abwaschmittel, Putzlappen, WC-Papier, Seife, die wichtigsten Lebensmittel, wie Salz, Zucker, Gewürze, Oel usw.) Es war sogar alles für's erste Morgenessen vorhanden. Wir waren sehr froh darum, da wir sehr spät in der Nacht ankamen. Die Villa war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Verschiedenste Sitzgelegenheiten boten die Möglichkeit, die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Der Pool hatte eine gute Grösse und bot sich an zur Abkühlung. Selbst ein Grillabend wurde nicht ausgelassen. Es sind unvergessliche Ferien in einer schönen Villa mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Ein kleines Paradies. Wir können die Villa nur weiterempfehlen und bedanken uns bei Ray und Gill sowie bei Roger und Didem. We had our fun at jetskifahren. Excursions we made to the beautiful beaches of Kaputas and Patara. Kas was also a short drive away. The Villa Teshir offered everything it needed. We appreciated the fact that everything was already there. (Dishwashing detergent, cleaning cloth, toilet paper, soap, the most important food, such as salt, sugar, spices, oil etc.) It was even everything for the first morning. We were very happy because we arrived very late at night. The villa was very clean and nicely decorated. Various seating opportunities offered the possibility to let the soul dangle. The pool was a good size and offered to cool off. Even a barbecue evening was not omitted. There are unforgettable holidays in a beautiful villa with breathtaking views. A small paradise. We can only recommend the villa and thank you with Ray and Gill as well as with Roger and Didem.

As Perfect ... As ALWAYS ! - 5***** Left on Jul 10, 2017 for a stay in Jun 2017 Our 3rd Visit in a row to Villa Teshir - only gets better & better ! The location is close enough to walk to Kalkan's many lovely shops, restaurants, bars, harbour etc. yet far enough away to be a quiet & peaceful location perfectly positioned to present a beautiful view over Kalkan and it's fabulous Bay. We could easily spend every day by the Villa's fabulous pool, drinking in the views, enjoying the tranquility this Villa offers. Villa Teshir is roomy inside with a lovely upper balcony for even more excellent views over Kalkan. Villa Teshir is very clean, beautiful flowers around the exterior of the villa make the Villa look so pretty, the Villa's lovely garden has a lemon tree which came in very handy for our G&Ts. The people of Kalkan are the friendliest, loveliest we've ever encountered on our travels - we can't imagine vacationing anywhere else, we've fallen head over heels for his piece of heaven on earth. The only negative I must raise is ... Villa Teshir is so lovely you'll find it very hard and so sad to leave, I haven't yet managed to make it to the airport without lots of tears - it's like saying goodbye to a close friend. Villa Teshir has a place in our hearts. The Villa's Owners help make our experience faultless. They're extremely responsive to communications and will go above & beyond to ensure your experience at their Villa is 1st Class. Thank You Villa Teshir for another perfect holiday experience. Wow. 5***** Left on Oct 2, 2016 for a stay in Sep 2016 Wow what a fantastic villa, we could not fault anything. We stayed at Villa Teshir for 2 weeks in September where temperatures reached 37-38 degrees some days and the private pool was a god send to cool down. The air conditioning throughout the villa was also very welcome. Ray & Gill organised our transfers which went very smoothly and we had a lovely welcome pack on arrival at the villa, which was much appreciated at 11.30 at night. Roger the local agent was very helpful advising us places to go and the quickest routes to town and the market. We took full advantage of the BBQ and rarely went out at night as the views from the Villa where so beautiful there really was no need to venture out. We spent majority of our time outside sitting in one of the many outdoor seating areas and usually ended up on the upstairs veranda with a glass of wine or 2. We will definitely be returning and want to thank Ray & Gill for all there help and communication before, during and after our holiday.

Beautiful Villa in beautiful Kalkan. 5***** Left on Sep 3, 2016 for a stay in Aug 2016 Such an amazing villa with undisturbed views over Kalkan town and the sea. Villa Teshir is well equipped, suitable for couples and families alike. It is spacious inside out, with plenty of seating areas taking full advantage of the amazing views. The owners and the local villa manager Roger are ever so helpful with all enquiries. It was someone in our party birthday whilst we were in the villa and Roger delivered a very delicious birthday cake from one of the local patisseries, delicious and so very kind. Location of the villa is fab, giving you the choice to walk to all local amenities or a very short, affordable taxi ride. Kalkan itself is picturesque. With an abundance of restaurants, serving delicious food. Shops and beautiful beaches. The locals are ever so friendly with out being invasive. Will definitely visit again, both kalkan and the villa. Would recommend to all. Thank you Ray and Gill.

Spacious and comfortable villa in an outstanding location. 5***** Left on Aug 21, 2016 for a stay in Aug 2016 We spent 10 days at Villa Teshir on our family holiday. The villa is beautifully situated overlooking the sea and the mountains and is only a ten-minute walk from the pretty harbour town of Kalkan. The views from the terrace and balconies are fantastic and the living area, both inside and out, is spacious with the pool being larger than most villa pools. As it was in August the weather was incredibly hot, but the air conditioning in the villa as well as the pool meant that we were always able to cool off. The owners were very helpful in giving advice and arranging transfers from the airport and there was also a locally based agent who was able to give us advice on what to see and where to go. All in all, it was a wonderful holiday and we would all like to go back there when we can.

Fantastic holiday in a lovely villa. 5***** Left on Jul 30, 2016 for a stay in Jul 2016 Had a lovely holiday at Villa Teshir - the villa itself is great - finished to a high standard with air-conditioning throughout, wifi, tv, two ensuite bedrooms (with very comfy beds) and all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. The pool area is fantastic with plenty of space to sit in the sun or move under shade as required and the pool itself is wonderful - I think it's around 1.7m all over and it's a perfect size for a cooling dip. The pool man comes around each morning very early to clean and maintain it so all you have to do is enjoy it. The view from the terrace is stunning looking down onto Kalkan Bay or back up to the mountains. The owners, Ray & Gill have provided contact details for a range of local businesses, who will deliver bottled water, food, wine & beer etc to the villa, although it's a 10 min downhill walk to the nearest supermarket (and there are plenty of taxis for an easy and cheap trip back). The local agent Roger lives nearby and is very helpful with any queries or advice. Kalkan itself is lovely - picturesque with lots of shops and restaurants with rooftop terraces. We ate out quite a few times and the food was consistently very good - lots of mezzes, grilled fish and meat dishes with fantastic salads. While we were there, the attempted military coup happened, but to be honest, if we hadn't seen the news online, we wouldn't have know that anything had happened - there was nothing in the area that would indicate what had happened - Kalkan is probably the furthest point on the coast of Turkey that you can get from Istanbul (500 miles away), Ankara and the Syrian Border so it felt perfectly safe for the whole time we were there. Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we would recommend Kalkan, and Villa Teshir in particular to anyone - we'll certainly be returning.

Fantastic Again ! 5***** Left on Jul 9, 2016 for a stay in Jun 2016 Just returned from our 2nd year on the run at Villa Teshir and once again we loved it. The villa is spacious, clean & cosy indoors & out. We spent the vast majority of our days & evenings either lounging on the sun beds and cooling off in the villas good sized and very clean pool or by evening on the terrace or upper balcony admiring the views across Kalkan, out to sea and across to the mountains - breathtaking ! On our final day we had to vacate the villa, as Previously agreed, by 11am, the Owners & Roger (the Villas Agent) arranged for us to stay at a nearby facility for the day as our flight wasn't leaving til late evening. We spent our last day warmly welcomed by the other facilities staff who stored our cases, allowed us to use their infinity pool, sunbeds & towels, eat at their poolside restaurant and use their showers before our departure - a very lovely end to another happy holiday at Teshir. The owners are very easy to contact and reply to any questions with speed and helpfulness - in fact the Owners go above & beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay at their villa. Teshir is just far enough away from Kalkan centre to enjoy peace & quiet yet Only a short enjoyable walk away or Taxi home to avoid hills on the warmer days. We would highly recommend Villa Teshir to our friends & family. Huge Thank You Ray & Gill for everything again this year x

5***** We had a wonderful time at Villa Teshir. The villa was absolutely beautiful - the pictures really don't do it justice. I now see what people mean on the reviews when they say it feels like a home, not a rental. Everything from the quality of the furnishings to the books and DVDs and the fact that the kitchen has available all of the general things you need to cook (foil, cling film, salt, sugar, knives that are actually sharp enough to use etc etc). You really do have a wonderful property that has such a homely feel to it and which is in a fantastic location. Aside from the stunning views from every window we also really enjoyed the privacy on the terrace - frankly we could have just lived outside! Roger the manger was also brilliant - a really nice person who wasn't intrusive at all and who provided some fab tips on where to eat. It was so useful to have someone with local knowledge to give us a steer - usually the Internet research I do before going away gives us a good idea of where to go, for what and on the cost but as you no doubt know with Kalkan, it isn't so easy to do that as you are really limited to just reading tripadvisor reviews etc with only the higher end restaurants having websites with menus available online. This meant Roger's help was invaluable. He was also great getting the wifi sorted - as it happened it just needed rebooting. Thanks also to both of you for texting the code to me so quickly. Aside from thanking both of you for letting us into your beautiful home for 10 days and for really making it feel like a home, Pete and I would also like to say a big thank you for all of your help and info throughout the booking process and before we departed. I couldn't think of anything you could improve, it is so nice to have someone who responds quickly to emails and you really made us feel like if we needed anything, we could just ask. In particular, arranging the shopping for our arrival was much appreciated and allowed us to really make the most of our first day. So, all in all, thank you! We will definitely be looking to return to Kalkan and we would definitely want to stay at Villa Teshir. If we can find some reasonably priced flights (unfortunately it appears a big if at the moment) for the start of September we are hoping to return - from looking at the availability calendar I think that Villa Teshir is probably already booked up at that time but, if not, please do let me know and then I can get back in touch if I can find some decent flights. A dream of a villa in this unspoilt Turkish town. 5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16th 2014. This was our second stay in this beautiful Villa and our 8th visit to Kalkan....we just keep coming back:). Villa Teshir is very well equipped and comfortable with everything you could want for a relaxing stay.Two large bedrooms with good air con and ensuites upstairs and the most beautiful traditional balcony room for lounging and enjoying the stunning views of the bay.The kitchen and living areas have everything you could possibly want for a relaxing stay whether in high summer or in the cooler months of the year( including a good range of films)! The pool is a great size and the Roman steps make good cooling off seats as well as a gentle entry to the water whilst the outdoor seating areas offer full sun and dappled shade. There is good parking at the foot of the steps which lead to the Villa and it is easily reached but in a peaceful location on the hillside overlooking the bay.Helen the manager was helpful, friendly and easy to reach if needed with lots of local information. The booking process is very easy and the owners Ray and Gill are great to deal with. All in all a wonderful restful experience.

The villa had all the facilities required for a comfortable,relaxing holiday. The hillside location had stunning views over kalkan bay. Loved the villa, location, facilities, view...the lot.5 of 5 stars September 4, 2013 We had a great week at Villa Teshir, arrived a midnight and there was a welcome pack with everything we needed and more for breakfast the next day. Everything you might need is thought of, the look and layout is great, views are lovely, and all the different seating areas mean you can have shade or sun all day. Not far to walk into the old town...just a bit hot some days! Ray and Gill were very helpful, and so was Helen who looks after the villa in Kalkan. Couldnt fault anything....thanks for a lovely week. Fantastic Villa with the most amazing panoramic views I have ever seen ....5 of 5 stars. August 29, 2013 Villa Teshir with its wonderful views of the bay are breath taking. Very spacious and wonderfully furnished throughout. Outside lovely eating area and large pool. Spent many night looking out to sea. Helen the villa manager was very friendly and helpful and was there to hand if we required her help. Kalkan is a beautiful relaxing area and my partner and I will be back in the near future. Extreemly comfortable villa with panoramic views over Kalkan bay,5 of 5 stars  July 21, 2013 Villa Teshir is very well-equiped with plenty of separate eating and resting areas to suit the temperature and your mood,all with stunning views. The pool is an adequate size and well maintained,it doesnt have a shallow area though which could be a problem with non-swimmers. The patio area is large so although bits of it can be over-looked by other villas it still felt quite private,and there is good lighting for after dark. We found the owners and the agent helpful and welcoming and although we had amazing weather there was a telly/ videos and games and books if you needed them.We hired a car, could have managed without but 10 mins steep walk back from town would have been hard work in the heat with shopping. BEAUTIFUL VILLA IN GREAT LOCATION....5 of 5 stars July 13, 2013 for stay in June. We are a couple in our mid 30s and stayed at villa Teshir for 10 days in late June/early July. The villa is lovely and more than met our expectations. The interior was very clean, well maintained and beautifully furnished and decorated. The pool and terrace area is fantastic, the pool was bigger than we expected and the terrace gets full sun all day with plenty of areas of shade too. The location of the villa is great, its relatively high up so you get fantastic panoramic views of kalkan, however its also within an easy stroll of town (it took us approx 10 minutes to walk down to the old town and harbour area). The communication we received from Ray & Gill the villa owners was great, they were incredibly helpful and quick to respond to our queries. They arranged taxi transfers from Dalaman airport for us, they will also arrange car hire if needed. They have an English property manager (Helen) based in Kalkan, luckily we didnt really need her much during our stay but it was good to know she was on hand if need be. We really liked Kalkan itself, the old town area is really pretty with lots of good restaurants (Aubergine and Doy Doy were our favourites) and nice bars (the fountain terrace bar is lovely). Its a quiet upmarket resort and the absence of mass tourism/package tour operators helps to maintain this atmosphere.There are no clubs/karaoke bars etc and we didnt witness any loud/antisocial behaviour at all during our stay. We went outside of school holiday season and the other holidaymakers were predominantly British couples from age 30s upwards. There is lots to see and do in and around the Kalkan, Patara and kaputas beaches are beautiful and wed highly recommend the day trip to Kekova with ABI travel. Overall we really cant fault villa Teshir or Kalkan, we had a great holiday, the booking process was smooth, Ray & Gill really helpful, transfers on time, villa more than lived up to expectations and Kalkan itself is a beautiful place. We dont tend to holiday in the same place twice but if we were to return to Kalkan we would definitely book Villa Teshir again! (submitted by Emma from London)

A PIECE OF PARADISE...5 of 5 stars  July 12, 2013 for stay June 2013 Had a wonderful vacation in Villa Teshir charming, very clean & extremely well equipped accommodation in a peaceful location with a magnificent view across Kalkan bay. From the very beginning of the booking , right till the end of our vacation the support we have received from Ray (owner) and Helen (property manager) was excellent. We were treated with a welcome hamper ( all you need to cook yummy breakfast) on the arrival which was really great, as we have arrived at 3am. The villa is spacious and tastefully furnished. It has large kitchen and lounge downstairs as well as the WC. Two en-suite bedrooms are located upstairs, one with double and one with twin beds (beds are very comfortable). Fully Air con and its in perfect working condition. There was no issue with anything i.e hot water etc. Outside area is great, really large patio with a big swimming pool (1.7m - no shallow end). The terrace has shaded dinning area to seat 6 people right by the pool. There are also 2 comfy armchairs and a 2 seater sofa outside, stone BB, parasols and deckchairs. The veranda style balcony on the 1st floor has a view to die for and its a perfect place for a romantic dinner. 10 min walk will take you to a beautiful Kalkan village with loads of lovely little cafes, restaurants and shops. Car is no needed unless you fancy travelling around. Yali supermarket is only few minutes walk away and its very well stocked, we did most of the shopping there (they even sell yummy bacon if you fancy a fry up). Yali will deliver your shopping for free, however if you prefer a taxi its about £3 to Villa Teshir. There is plenty of good restaurants in Kalkan with good quality of food and reasonable prices. You will pay top dollars if you decide to eat by the marina though. Villa Teshir is an ideal place for relaxing holidays and we had a truly wonderful time there. It was exactly as described and pictured and the whole family had a simply wonderful and relaxing time in Kalkan. The villa was perfectly equipped and we didnt want for anything - a real home from home. Great views and a fabulous pool. Everything went according to plan and thank you for arranging the transfers to and from the airport. Review: submitted by Jenny from Northampton 9 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012 A beautiful, luxurious and well equipped villa in a peaceful area on the hillside with great views over the whole of Kalkan and the bay. Luxurious deep pool with Italian steps and delightful outside areas to relax in, both sunny and shaded. The interior is very well appointed with 2 good bedrooms both with nice ensuite bathroomsand there is ample parking at the bottom of the steps leading to the villa entrance. There are gorgeous views from the many windows and especially from the charming traditionally styled balcony....a perfect place for breakfast or to watch the sun go down over Kalkan and its many fantastic restaurants.

REVIEW: submitted by Chantel from Southampton 2 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012 Villa Teshir was/is perfect for our family, our 2 daughters (aged 5 & 7) loved the pool which is of perfect proportion and gets the full sun from the moment it rises over the mountains. The pool is deep with no shallow end however the steps leading into it were ideal so it wasnt a problem. The terrace is very pretty with lovely views of the sea and the mountains as well as havig lots of different shaded areas to sit in. The photos dont do it justice...The villa is lovely and cool inside and really nicely furnished. The villa is not far from the wonderful village of Kalkan but it is quite hilly, however taxis are readily available and cheap so not a problem. The owners Ray & Gill are really easy to talk to and have been perfect. I would thoroughly recommend Villa Teshir, Im just wishing i was there now! Hi Ray & Gill, Have been meaning to contact you and also to put something on Villarenters but have been hectic since getting back - the holiday seems a dim and distant memory now sadly. Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time and are really envious of you having such a beautiful villa in such a wonderful resort. Everything was perfect, villa, pool, location, restaurants (didnt cook in villa once - another attack on my wallet but what the hell!!). Transfers were a breeze so a big thank you again. Thankfully we didnt need Helen much, but when we did she was great. All in all a very special holiday in a very special place - we will be back! “gorgeous villa, lovely holiday!” Reviewed 26 July 2011. We stayed in Villa Teshir for 10 days with our three small children (ages 6,4 and 2). The villa was perfect for us. It is beautiful, sunny and airy. The pool was large enough for the swimmers to have a wonderful time, but also had wide, safe steps for the 2 year-old non-swimmer to play on comfortably (something few other pools seemed to have). The patio was bright and big with lots of beautiful flowers and a perfect mix of sun and shade. Kalkan was relaxed and fun, with great restaurants and charming shops. It was an easy trip to Kaputas and Pataras beaches, too. It was lovely to come "home after a long beach day and let the kids swim while we cooked dinner, ate on the patio and enjoyed the stunning views. Helen, the local manager was fantastic help, too. We will be back! Would I recommend this holiday rental to my best friend? Yes. Jared, Tbilisi

It is so easy to intend to do things like saying thankyou and never get round to it and this was one time I was determined not to let that happen - we have had a SUPERB time! It was so refreshing to go on holiday and for things to be better than you had expected them - honest blurb no clever photos that take all holiday to decide where they were actually taken from. Love the first floor terrace - just the job for aperitifs! It really was a home from home quality, comfortable furnishings light, airy rooms everything you need to ensure an extremely relaxing break - Brilliant!!! Just what the doctor ordered. From the transfers from the airport, which were on time with no waiting around, to your beautiful villa, which we absolutely loved, it was everything and more than we had expected. Comfortable, clean and tidy and with everything we needed it was just what we wanted for our well earned half-term holiday!! With views to die for we felt very lucky. Helen the villa manager was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Villa Teshir and Kalkan exceeded our expectations, the photos on the web site make it look inviting but the reality is even better!! We had a fantastic holiday, the villa is so spacious and comfortable - very well equipped and in a stunning position with great views. Helen the local manager was really helpful and the taxi transfers went very smoothly. We were amazed by the number of fabulous restaurants, we were spoilt for choice.We hired a jeep for 3 days and went to Patara, Salikent, Tlos and Kas, so there's lots more for us to see and many more restaurants to try!! We had never hired a villa before and found it so peaceful and relaxing, we are seriously considering returning next year. Thanks you so much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful villa. Dear Ray & Gill, I just wanted to let you know that we had the most wonderful time in Kalkan - it far exceeded our expectations in every way.The villa was superb - we adored the pool and the views and Helen took care of us very well, particularly on our arrival day when we arrived at the villa exhausted, hot and bothered, but we soon felt so much better. Kalkan has so much to offer without being too large - the eating out was great and reasonably priced. We went scuba diving which was amazing and did plenty of snorkling etc. We explored the local beach clubs and also visited Kaputas beach and the Saklikent Gorge - both of these were well worth the trips - we loved wading through the icy cold water at the gorge!The Thursday markets were wonderful - particularly the fruit, veg, cheeses etc. The weather was beautiful the whole time with temperatures from 35 to 45 degrees - the air conditioning was therefore lovely to have at night time. Good comfortable beds much appreciated too.We would most definitely love to re-visit your beautiful villa sometime - it can't be next year unfortunately, but summer 2012 looks like a very strong possibility. It was Patrick’s first ‘beach’ holiday (he’s more of a city breaker) and I was a little concerned that it would be too laid back for him, however from the minute we stepped out onto the patio it was clear that we would both be very happy to sit there doing absolutely nothing for a week! The facilities were excellent, everything we could have possibly needed, and Helen very kindly collected us from the coach station and arranged our transfer back to the airport. We travelled around and found a great trout restaurant up in the hills in Islamar. We also went to Kas which was lovely. Dear Ray & GillJust to say we had a lovely stay at your villa. Weather was glorious as expected and the villa was perfect. We especially liked the early evening drinks and game of draughts on the upstairs balcony – what a fantastic view. We came well prepared for problem mozzies but were shocked to only see one of the critters and only received a couple of very minor bites – all helped by the air con and mozzy screens. A very pleasant time was had by all. We had a few days in Istanbul after leaving Kalkan and a few days in London so have only just returned home – your cheque was waiting for us. Hi Ray & GillOur feet are just coming back to the ground.We had a wonderful time in your beautiful villa, we loved the moretraditional architecture of Teshir and had a fantastic relaxing week of sunsea and sand.You can't capture on film how fantastic the views are. I hope they areuninterrupted for years to come.The Villa is very well stocked, we especially enjoyed the binoculars, and my children your selection of DVD's when I wouldn't let them in the midday sun.The local restaurants were great, especially the wonderfully Turkish Belgin's Kitchen in the old town.I spoke to you about the dolphins and the centre which specialises in Autistic Therapy on the Kas peninsular, and although prices for ordinary tourists are prohibitive, as we were there we were committed and it was an amazing experience for our daughter especially.It was great to meet Helen your manager, who was brilliant and attended to all our needs very promptly.Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Dear Ray & Gill, I feel that we just have to let you know what a fantastic holiday we had in your wonderful villa. We feel that we have found a true piece of 'Turkish Delight' !! The views really are glorious and unspoilt, and just as you describe them - which, given the modern tendancy to 'overstatement' in adverts, was an honest and refreshing change.!!The villa itself is lovely, and the terrace area really is extensive. We feel the photos on your web site, although excellent, do not do justice to or convey the actual size and quality of your home. I liked being able to take myself off for a read in a quiet corner, whilst other party members could enjoy the pool area. Kalkan and the local area is beautiful, but I'm afraid we were only too easily seduced into staying-put by the relaxing atmosphere of 'your home', the pool and the great views. However, we did manage the pleasant short stroll to stock up on essentials and again in the evening to sample the excellent restaurants and varied food on offer in what is a delightful and picturesque coastal village. The only mistake we made was in booking for 1 week, something we are going to rectify next year when we book a fortnight with you. Hi RayJust to let you know we had a lovely holiday! Everything went really well, from the outbound flight and Suzuki jeep rental, to being delighted with the villa, the pool, and the fantastic views from the terrace.We had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday with a few adventures thrown in to keep us on our toes. We went to Saklikent and had a guide take us deep into the Gorge to about the farthest point we could go. We had lunch at Ebo's (short for Ibraheim - first rest. one on the left). He ended up coming rafting with us!! What a character!! We had such a laugh. He's asked us to send him some photos. Great day out!We went sea kayaking over the sunken city of Kekova, booked through Bourgainville Travel in Kas. A day out on gulet, (the boat was called Romantik, I think). Excellent lunch, really good day out. We went to Xanthos and Letoon, both amazing sites, arriving early so we had the place to ourselves.....and the added advantage of beating the heat of the day. We went to Patara, and we loved Kaputas beach. We spent a few afternoons at the Kalamar Beach Club. Really nice place - the kids had a go on the jet ski, ringos and banana boat. Everything went really well and we had a lovely time and were very impressed with the country, the people, the culture and we loved the food!.
