Sihinaya Villa is our new to the rental market Boutique, Full Service Holiday Villa. It is a beautiful, newly renovated, traditional 100 year old antique house in a beachside location in Weligama, one of the worlds top diving and surfing hotspots.
Sihinaya translates in Sinhala to "Dream" and Sihinaya is truly a "Dream" property.
It has being lovingly renovated by craftsmen, to a very high standard and decorated and furnished in a luxurious but comfortable style, keeping the needs of our guests in mind at all times.
The Villa is fully staffed including Chef , Housekeeper, Steward, night time Security and Our Manager who all work from the separate staff quarters located in the grounds of the villa. They work in a very discreet manner ensuring the privacy and relaxation of our guests at all times.

We have provided a large comfortable seating area with handloomed cushions to complete this area.
The garden is secluded and private and has a stunning pool pavilion with bar area and seating, satellite TV and a changing room with toilet facilities.
We have provided numerous sunbeds and parasols in our tropical gardens which extend around the property. The gardens are visited by native birds, peacocks and the occasional passing monkey!

The villa is located in the outskirts of Weligama in the heart of the community enabling the opportunity to engage with the locals who are extremely friendly. On the other hand once inside the villa the atmosphere is one of tranquility with the feeling of complete isolation from the outside world. The villa is within easy walking of the local beach and restaurants. Alternatively, Weligama and Merrisa beaches can be accessed by tuk tuk in a few minutes very cheaply. The staff of four led by Chiqi the on sight manager are extremely efficient and helpful. Chiqi was most useful in organising trips and making recommendations for eating out etc. We saw a large pod of blue whales one outing. A trip to Galle about 25 miles away is also well worthwhile and we recommend travel by train for a mere 15p one way! We shared the villa with our two daughters and their families who joined us for a week each. Our grand children ranging between the ages of 23 and 17 could not believe their luck! Shihinaya, or Dreams in the local language was a real find and we are very envious of those who follow us.It really does mean that your dreams can come true!

From the moment we contacted Debbie the owner our stay was fantastic. Debbie's outstanding customer service was reflected upon arrival with her incredible staff. Rakitha the manager could not have done more for us and the other villa staff were equally as impressive. The Villa is simply beautiful. Located down a quiet road we opened the front gates to an oasis. The bedrooms were very well appointed and the indoor/outdoor ensures were delightful. But the most impressive aspect of the villa is the dining entertainment area that opens directly onto the pool and outdoor villa. Our children spent most of their time in the pool with the adults relaxing poolside. If you are thinking of visiting the Mirissa/Galle/Weligama area I could not recommend Sihinaya enough. The villa is simply outstanding!

Congratulations to you , in my opinion you have the perfect combination of a beautiful villa and location , but also very good staff .I wish you every success with your boutique villa , I think you are worth 5 gold stars . Luxury villa wonderful location ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On arrival met by your wonderful team of staff who will look after you in the villa .The villa is in a wonderful rural location but within easy reach of the local beach 2 minute walk , and by enjoyable local taxi to the local town or other beaches of your choice Great living outdoor space with a good size swimming pool , staff are attentive and discreet ,they know it is your vacation and give you the privacy to unwind and enjoy your stay. Would certainly consider returning and recommending to friends and relations. The manager has all the local knowledge of attractions , trips that you care to make . Give yourselves the time to relax and enjoy listening to the monkeys and peacocks around you and just how beautiful the landscape is . People are very helpful and relaxed , local shopping is great fun and watching fisherman sell their catch of the day is fascinating .. Go to Sri lanka make your own mind up .

We spent three nights at Sihinaya in December 2016. We were six adults and four children, between 15 and 3. The villa is in a great location, walking distance to Jungle Beach, and a short drive to the Weligama beach front. The open-air design of the villa is great: a modern kitchen; long dining table; spacious lounge area - all right next to the swimming pool. A separate bar area, with TV, is a nice addition. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was great. Communication with the owner and manager is easy. We highly recommend Sihinaya!

We stayed for 5 nights at this beautiful villa. We had the complete house to ourselves and loved it. It has everything you'd expect in this range: great food, good beds, a nice pool all at a perfect location. The manager will help you with his local knowledge and the service of the staff is high standard. Even when it's raining you can enjoy a good coffee while sitting on the sofa and relax, listening to your own music through the Bose sound speaker. We had 4 dinners at the villa and one at Mirissa beach. We used the body boards in the waves at the bay and went out onto the Indian Ocean to spot the blue whale, amazing. You don't have to worry about anything here, and that's exactly what we were looking for.

The villa is set back from the main road and 2minutes walk to Jungle Beach (5 minute drive to Weligama and 10 minute drive to Mirissa)., so an ideal location. It's a perfect location for a family break with 4 double bedrooms (3 ensuite). It is decorated very tastefully and has plenty of areas within the grounds to relax with very comfortable loungers. The staff are very attentive, but not overbearing and the food was very reasonable and tasty. The pool is a lovely pool and also a nice safe pool, not slippy getting in or out and safe under foot around the perimeter of the pool. Added bonus that the kids loved was the seated bar outside by the pool with the television!! We would definitely re-visit Sihinaya.

Sihinaya villa lived up to all our expectations! From the moment we arrived we were all looked after very well looked after. The pool and outdoor area was a big hit with the kids and adults in our party. The rooms were all well equipped, 3 with ensuite bathrooms, all towels included ( need to take towels in venturing down to the beach), and all including AC and mosquitos nets. We were given bathrobes and slippers to relax in, which was a lovely touch. The open plan living area at the back of the property was an ideal place to sit and relax. The staff were amazing and also very knowledgeable about the local area, were always on hand but never too much. Breakfast was a feast, including fresh fruit, fruit drinks, toast, waffles, fried eggs, omelettes, eggy bread and local delicacies such as coconut rotis and curd with honey. The local area is a must! Weligama is as short tut tut ride away which costs pennies to get to.The kids loved the beach and especially the surfing. Galle Fort is a short journey away by taxi and is must for wondering round a beautiful town with its tiny streets and wonderful shops, restaurants and spas. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property to anyone looking for a luxurious villa in the area.

Siginaya Villa is just simply beautiful. My family and I had the absolute best holiday here and would gladly recommend it to anyone thinking about staying here. The villa itself is so gorgeous, and the staff are nothing short of amazing. They were able to point us in the direction of some fab local sites, and had tonnes of suggestions of things/places to keep our 2 small children occupied. I'd love to have bought the chef back home with me!! He makes an incredible Sri Lankan curry, and even taught me how to make it one evening. This was our first family holiday to Sri Lanka, and we will definitely be back to stay.

Wow... What a great 10 days holiday we had. We were an extended family group with 4 children ranging in ages from 1 to 12. Villa was beautiful and clean. All bedding linen was clean and fresh on top of deep matrices. All rooms had AC which with the comfy beds made for a great nights sleep. Our room had an on suite with rain shower open to the sky. Bliss! Gorgeous toiletries were provided with bath robes which made the whole bathing experience really special. The living area on the back of the villa is beautiful with comfortable and colourful decorations. This area over looked the pool and pool house allowing us to keep a close eye on the children in the pool. The guest kitchen was a real plus for our family group to cater for everyone's different daytime snack and drink times. What a great idea! Lots to do in the area for all ages; kids enjoyed surfing lessons and a trip to the turtle hatchery. Adults enjoyed the beaches and trips to Galle for shopping, coffee and ladies spa afternoon! Weligame beach is perfect for the whole family; shallow, safe water for the little ones to play close to shore and gentle waves for older / big kids to learn surfing. Surfing was very reasonable at £7-10 per hour dependent on how cheeky you want to be with haggling. The staff were friendly and descreet. Having our own personal chef was the cherry on the cake; breakfasts and evening meals were all cooked to our taste with local fresh produce from land and sea. The Sri Lankan curry feasts were exceptional with us wanting to steal many recipes. Chiqi the Manager is a perfect host with his friendly and professional manner. He was a font of knowledge for all things local, places to visit and Sri Lankan traditions. His attentiveness made us feel no question or request too much. All in all we felt Sihinaya lived up to the luxury description... Everyone enjoyed their holiday - especially the grown ups who thought it very good value for all this villa includes. We've already booked for Summer 2018 to take some friends back with us to share the Sihinaya secret! My Response

Hi I'm retired and based in the UK. We love Sri Lanka and are very happy to have the privilege of owning our beautiful villa. It is truly a special place, very peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Whilst in a quiet area we are very close to the action and all the area has to offer. The house before renovation was a 100 year old antique house which had been in the same family since new and has the really special feeling of a well loved family home.
