Al Andalus is a development in Puerto Rey, Vera, Costa del Almeria, built in the attractive Andalucian style. Every effort has been made to make both the apartment & extensive gardens a relaxing & comfortable place to spend your well earned holiday.
Al Andalus, facilities on site include 1 large and I children's outdoor pools, (full time lifeguard from June to the middle of September), heated indoor pool (for use off season), Paddle Tennis court, children's play area, extensive landscaped gardens with relaxing seating areas, waterfalls & fountains.
The complex is a secure & safe environment, with controlled access, CCTV & allocated car parking space.
Our lovely apartment is a 1 bedroom,1 bathroom (sleeps 2/4) top floor, a large balcony, with pleasant views and views of the well maintained gardens and water features. The apartment is bright & comfortable, with quality furniture throughout. There is a private place (No 110)
The large Supermarket “Mercadona” is very convenient, being 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The Happy Gnome Restaurant (El Gnomo Feliz) is also 5 minutes walk and they offer an excellent 3 course day/night menu for €10 (March 2016). There is a good value Cabin Bar restaurant opposite Mercadona. The nearest beach is 5 minutes drive with adequate parking.
A short drive from the complex there is a fantastic sports facility that includes a driving range, tennis courts, pitch and putt also gym facilities. For Golf lovers there are five quality golf courses within 20-30 minutes drive of the complex. The surrounding areas, there are 100's of Bars, Restaurants and shops.

Local beaches are not safe for swimming,
Local shops were fine
The stairs were a nightmare,steep ,slippery and difficult to manage.
Hot water was dangerously hot .
Owners were are fount of local knowledge and a very pleasant couple and made the stay

Great place to stay ,your safety in the complex is very good . Hire a car then you can get around .there is a bus service .Big super market near by and 2 bars , great value for your money .Stan and Mo left us fruit ,milk ,wine ,tea ...there is English TV , WiFi

The property was as described in a quiet location but close to a couple of bars, restaurant and supermarket. The apartment was clean bright and airy with a large balcony. The owners Stan &; Mo left a lovely welcome package of wine, milk, bread, fruit, pop along with tea, coffee, sugar. They also went out of their way to allow us access to the property when we were late arriving and when we locked ourselves out of the apartment. We used the indoor heated pool and was amazed to find we had it all to ourselves. Overall a great holiday and we will definitely be returning.

We had a very nice stay, all as advertised. We particularly liked the indoor pool which we had to ourselves every day.
