In 2001 the restoration and rehabilitation of the residential complex was completed . Architecture was preserved both as traditional furniture , and , in turn , houses were equipped with modern services and amenities.

We spent a wonderful week in El Olivar/La Oliva. The garden, surroundings and views are lovely, the house itself is just as charming and equipped with everything you need. Its a 45 minute drive to the coast (so you definitely need a car) but restaurants, bakery and small supermarkets are just around the corner. Besides, we found the people of the village of Santa Lucía extremely friendly and helpful. The communication with our hosts also worked perfectly, we didnt miss a thing and always felt taken care of. So if you want to pass a quiet, peaceful time in the beautiful mountains of Gran Canaria, El Olivar is the perfect place. Febrero de 2014
