Overview

The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, with a living room and a modern kitchen on the ground floor. There is a double bed in the main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds. The living room has two three seater settees. There is also a fold up single bed which can be used in the main bedroom. Wi-Fi is provided included in the price.

The private patio is accessed from the living room and provides fabulous views of the golf course and mountains. The patio has modern furniture with a glass top table and four chairs, Weber barbecue, sun loungers and side table.

The property is an ideal place for a family holiday. The house is situated on a small community of about 40 similar properties. They are mainly holiday homes with a small number of local residents. The people who stay at the houses tend to be holiday makers. The community is fairly quiet and not near any built up areas, situated about 2 miles inland from Fuengirola.

You will need a car if you decide to rent the house; there are several supermarkets within a few minutes drive. The beach at Fuengirola is less than 10 mins away, but a much better beach at La Cala de Mijas is only five minutes extra drive. La Cala is a low rise town/village and the beach is often popular with Spanish residents because it’s slightly away from the main tourist beaches.

The house has air conditioning, 42" LED Panasonic smart TV, internet TV box that provides BBC, ITV and all UK terrestrial channels, Sky Sports & Sky movies are also included. \there is a Blu-Ray/DVD player, washing machine, dish washer and all the usual benefits of a family home. This includes crockery, cutlery, iron, bed linen and towels.

You can get access to the two pools on the community. The pool is for all residents and the pool rules, which are sign posted, should be observed. The pool is behind a locked gate and the keys for this and pool toilets are in the house.

The house is not near to any “night life” and is not within walking distance for a night out in Fuengirola. There are four Restuarants within walking distance, my favourite being El Golf, which has good food and a nice view of the golf course, if you sit outside. The Matchroom restuarant and bar is the closest and is popular with local residents. There are also two other much cheaper but very friendly restaurants - La Morena and the 19th Hole. They are all very family friendly and are within walking distance being at the bottom of the road on the left.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lesley, who looks after the property for the host, was very friendly and super helpful, sorting out any issues we had immediately and even giving us her mosquito lotion! Flexibility over check in/out was much appreciated. The house itself is exactly as it appears on the (helpful) video. Plenty of space, well equipped (TV has just about every channel possible) with effective air-con and a large balcony with both shaded and sunny parts. The shared pool was a real bonus. Not much in the local area other than the golf course so you need a car, but there are some decent restaurants a few minutes walk away - Hoyo 19 highly recommended but gets busy, so booking advised. Overall, this is a great holiday home at a very reasonable price - we would definitely stay here again if we came back to this part of Spain.

We are a family of four children with two small children. We had a wonderful stay at Valle Verde. We stayed for three weeks and really loved it. The property is really nice with a specious kitchen, living room and bedrooms and a really nice outdoor terrace.

There are two swimming pools, which are clean and not very busy. Even during high season, we often had the pool to ourselves. There is plenty of parking on the main road just outside the urbanisation. There is one restaurant a few minutes from the house and two further restaurants about a 10 minute walk away.
The nearest supermarket is about 5 minutes drive away.

Lesley who manages the property is extremely helpful!

Would highly recommend this holiday rental!

The area is quite busy but the house is in a good location away from the most densely populated area of the resort. There are 3 restaurants within very easy walking distance and supermarkets nearby. The English mini-market just on the Coin road is open on Sundays and probably the closest. There is a very good green grocery at hoyo 19 garden centre. The veg is fresh, some of it organic and prices are good.

There are 20 stairs from the nearest parking access down to the house. Not a problem for most people and there are alternative routes, but worth considering if anyone has limited mobility.

Our only frustration was with the oven which kept tripping out. The function symbols have worn off so using the oven was guess work. A simple diagram or some basic instructions would no doubt remedy this.

We were here in December so can’t say what it would be like in high season but we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I'm staying at the house this week and I have replaced the oven. The control knobs were burnt off, possibly due to a design fault. I'm sorry you struggled with the oven, especially as you stayed over Christmas. Well appointed property , comfortable, spacious and quiet. Nice friendly neighbours.
Lovely south facing balcony overlooking golf course.
Very helpful key holder.
Good location for us between sea and mountains.

Fabulous time as usual at this villa,3rd year running and hopefully next year as well
Garden was a bit overgrown restricting the magnificent views of the area ,but i sharp sorted it out to basically what it looks like in the photo
Garden still needs a little TLC and a tidy up which would not take long
One of the sun loungers has a really bad sag in the middle and you can feel the metal bar through it
Main bedroom mattress was extremely hard and probably could do with replacing
Other than that it is a lovely villa and would highly recommend it to anyone,first class!!

Thanks for the positive and informative review, I'm sorry about the garden and thank you for doing some pruning! The sun loungers may need replacing due to the sagging, I will check this out shortly. The main bedroom mattress is made of "memory foam" and may not be to everyone's taste. I notice that you have booked again for next year, I'm sure you'll have another lovely holiday.
