Overview

New style first floor apartment with a lift facility, a good size lounge with a dining table and chairs, an open plan American style kitchen with all cooking facilities of an electric oven with a halogen hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and a microwave. There is a 32" Flat screen TV showing Spanish T.V as well as English cable channels including movies, sports channels, radio and a DVD player is also available. The property benefits from having Air conditioning, there are two separate bathroom/shower rooms and there is a large west facing balcony that has a table and six chairs for outside evening dining.
(Note: An additional 60 euros cash needs to be paid to my key holder, this is to meet you at the property, check you in, to be your point of contact for any issues you may have, to check you out when leaving, to advise me if the full damage deposit can be returned and to clean and wash all bedding etc after)

The region of Murcia has the typical Mediterranean semi-arid subtropical climate offering 3,000 hours of sun a year with an average annual temperature of 18ºC, with hot summers (registering absolute maximum temperatures of 40ºC) and mild winters (an average temperature of 11ºC in the winter months of December and January). This region has been recognised by the World Health Organisation as one of the most climatically favourable climate in the world in which to live.
It falls historically and geographically into a number of districts taking in the 45 townships, all of which in turn depend on Murcia, the regional capital.
Murcia has just over 170 km of coastline with coves and small beaches alternating with rocky shores and sheer craggy cliffs which offers numerous places of unquestionable interest, many of which have been declared Protected Natural Areas.
As a geographical accident of nature we find La Manga, a coastal strip of land, which bar a few connecting channels, or narrows, completely closes off the Mar Menor lagoon - a paradise between two seas with infinite beaches, sandy sea beds and crystalline waters - from the Mediterranean. On one side you have unprotected shores with wild seas and on the other small coves with calm, placid waters., the ideal place to spend some days relaxing both in winter and summer.
Furthermore, fans of water sports will find it a great place for practicing sailing, canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, jet-skiing etc and every other type of water sport activity in its numerous clubs, ports and sailing schools.

The property was nice and spacious for the 6 of us offering great value. The owner has supplied towels and bed linen (though only enough for one week) and there is cutlery and crockery enough for 8 place settings but is sadly lacking in pots etc for cooking making it extremely difficult in the evenings for 6 people. That said there are plenty of eating places in nearby Los Belones (watch the prices some are expensive). The information and advice given by the owner was brilliant and very helpful. The apartment block is very family friendly with a good number of English families. The area is unspoilt with lovely quiet beaches.

The location of the property was excellent for our needs(close to family). Good value for money & Jimmy the key holder was very accommodating due to our late & early flight times. The appartment caters more for Spainish families, so it would benifit from a folder with instructions for TV, washing machine & cooker in English, also opening times for local supermarkets, resturants & transports timetables etc.

Hi Gary, Just arrived from Spain, I'd like to thank you for providing us a wonderful hollidays. The flat is amazing and the urbanization really quiet.
