1 or 2 apartments Reef Cottage sleeps 4 plus 1 cot. Nearby there are 2 bars, a shop, church and school. Our location is ideally situated for beautiful long walks, wonderful roads for cycling and motorcycling. We can suggest tracks for walks. This is a great base for exploring the rich wildlife, birds and flora of eastern Andalucia.
There are numerous coves and beaches; the nearest beach is Mojacar which is approximately 25 minuets drive, where there are great bars and restaurants along the playa. Just drive in either direction of Mojacar and discover many interesting places. Drive inland to Lubrin an interesting village with many places to eat and drink. A little further round is the village of Bedar where there is a wonderful restaurant especially if you like slow roasted lamb or paella.
For film enthusiasts there is Mini Hollywood Film Studio, Oasis Reserva Zoologica, Fort Bravo Cinema Studios and Western Lodge. the desert landscape and climate provides one of the world's great film production centre, all 30/40 minuets drive. Other activities include horse riding, cycling, scuba diving, photography, painting, great roads for motorcycling also Circuto de Almeria for track days, 4x4 and quad bike safari's and much more.

We have had the most amazing and relaxing holiday in the Reef cottage. Paul and Diane were brilliant hosts and we were made feel very welcome and at home. The cottage itself is very pretty and comfortable. The swimming pool is just the right size. There is so much to do and see in the area that we would need to come back.
I can highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.

You arrive as guests and depart as friends. Diane and Paul as hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly for the duration of our stay and provided excellent assistance with recommendations, suggestions and requests. Furthermore, we discovered Diane's talent for cooking and enjoyed two fine meals at her table, including a wonderful introduction to paella. Paul was a wealth of information on the area, and on the nearby motorcycle circuit.This was our first trip to Spain and it continued to dazzle us. From the almond trees in bloom and endless olive orchards to the sun-kissed mountains on our doorstep, we never lacked for scenery.
It would have been helpful to know some Spanish and it would have been especially helpful to know when restaurants were open; they rarely posted open times and, for four seniors too timid to drive at night, dinner after 8 o'clock was not an appealing option.
