Beautiful, penthouse, duplex apartment in the convenient and scenic La Almadraba resort at Puerto de la Duquesa. The apartment and complex are just a short 5mins walk from the marina.


On the top floor, there are two bedrooms, one double room with en-suite and one family room with three beds and separate family shower/bathroom.

Downstairs, there is a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen, a guest WC, lounge/dining area with dining table for 6 people. From the lounge there is access to the West facing terrace with views overlooking the communal swimming pool and out towards the neighboring golf course and hills in the distance. The property has A/c on both floors. Note that some properties now have the A/c on a timer giving a maximum of two hours before it has to be reset, even during the hot nights. We allow full use of the A/c at any time.
In the summer, the terrace enjoys the sun from early afternoon until the sun sets over the hills. There is a terrace table and seating for 6 people. For ‘al fresco’ dining, there is a Weber gas BBQ for guests to use. (it is the guests responsibility to clean the BBQ before vacating or this can be done for a 20€ fee)
La Almadraba is one of the best situated resorts at Duquesa with the picturesque Marina and its restaurants, bars and cafes just a 5 min light walk away. The beaches at both Duquesa and Sabinillas are blue flag with excellent bathing water quality. The commercial center of Sabinillas with its large supermarkets, shops and banks is a gentle 10mins walk away.
In the well-kept tropical grounds of the resort, there is a nice pool area with sunbathing facilities (sun-loungers/parasols, WCs) and the area is secure so small children cannot wander off and there is a separate kiddies pool area. The apartment has fast fiber internet and UK TV channels. There is night time security at the complex and secure underground parking for one car.
Guests of La Almadraba 424 also have the use of two mountain bikes and a set of men's right handed golf clubs. Estepona golf club has an excellent driving range and is just a 10min drive away.

The apartment is well equipped and very spacious. It is situated quite close to the port of Duquesa, about a 10 minute walk at the most using an underpass underneath the A-7 which is a fairly busy duel carriageway. The patio area is large and a great place to sit in the evening for a drink overlooking an exceptionally hilly golf course. Both bedrooms are on the upper floor. The main bedroom overlooks the golf course at the back and has a small balcony and an en suite bathroom. The other bedroom has bunk beds (which are ok for children/small adults but maybe a little small for larger adults) and a single . This bedroom has acoustic glass which cuts out any traffic noise. There is a separate toilet next to this bedroom. The other thing I really liked was that Gareth has two bikes which he allowed us to use. (mens and ladies but you can adjust the seat) which we used a few times. They are great for a cycle along the boardwalk next to the beach. If you go to the sea and turn left you can all the way to Torre Del Sal which is a medieval castle some 3/4 miles away. Mike, who lives a few doors down, was on hand for any queries about the apartment and we also used his services to pick us up and drop is off at the airport which really made transfers easy. All in all a very good break in a lovely location.

Gareth's house has everything you need and more. It is a very spacious house, it has all the amenities you need to spend an excellent vacation. The community pool is large and very nice, the nearest beach is a 10 minute walk away. Very well connected with Marbella and other cities on the Costa del Sol. In the port there is a wide range of bars and restaurants. Gareth is an excellent host, very attentive. In the house you will find detailed information about the house and the surrounding community. Mike has also been very helpful, always willing to help. We would be delighted!

Just returned from a very relaxing week in a lovely apartment just 5 mins walk from Puerto de la Duquesa,and 10 mins walk either side to the more Spanish towns of Sabillinas and Castillo. Fully equipment apartment overlooking a communal pool and gardens in position beside a golf course and main road. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you would need for a holiday,and more besides....we wanted for nothing and can see why it has such good reviews. We only used it as a couple but it had room for up to 5 people(2adults and 3wee ones)so space was more than adequate for us,also with I nice balcony area where we spent most of the time as weather was great...26c...28c most days,it does have full a/c upstairs and in main lounge,we only used upstairs for sleeping as a nice breeze was blowing through most days. Look forward to returning here as was very central to all things on the Costa and also Gib and west coast beaches around Cadiz.
