Casita Palmera -a Beautiful Country House With Warm, Heated Pool!

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à Haria petite oasis tranquille au milieu de ce désert volcanique chaotique et impressionnant. Le lieu est un excellent départ pour visiter le nord de l’île. La maison de Marcus est une jolie maison canarienne superbement, décorée au milieu des palmiers. C’est un lien enchanteresque ! Quel plaisir de prendre le petit déjeuner dans la véranda le matin et de contempler ce joli tableau pittoresque et dépaysant. Rien ne manque sur place si ce n’est peut-être une panateria … Les bons conseils de Marcus quant aux restaurants sont très utiles …si il n’y en avait qu’un à conseiller absolument, c’est celui de la petite ville portuaire d’Orsola « La Maresia ». Tous nos remerciements et félicitations à Marcus pour ce bel endroit. Il est fort probable que nous y revenions dans un futur proche. Dommage que nous nous n’ayons pas pu faire la connaissance de Heidi la maîtresse de maison . Ce sera pour la prochaine fois, sans doute. Hasta pronto. Eliane et Gérard.

Marcus & Heidi were fabulous hosts. Very thoughtful touches, super responsive, gave great recommendations- we all felt thoroughly well looked after. The house was perfect - lots of space for everyone. Great kitchen, comfy beds & clean en-suites. We loved the dining area leading onto our patio & we were lucky to eat our breakfasts outside each morning. Wonderful to collect fresh eggs & feed the chickens. There’s a great permanent BBQ next to the large heated pool or you could use the Weber BBQ on your own patio. Great to have options. Walking through the garden down to the footpath leads you into the main part of Haria. Very beautiful. couple of nice bars & restaurants. Marcus is only too happy to give his list of favourite places. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful house and garden in a wonderful location. We were welcomed on a chilly January evening by a candlelit entrance and the woodburner already warming the lounge. Marcus and Heidi have created a lovely space, with everything you could need. So great to have a heated pool. Marcus's recommendations were so helpful-great car hire, restaurants, and practical help. We loved having the animals around, and feeding the chickens. Haria is a beautiful peaceful village -there are good restaurants in walking distance and a market on Saturday. Fantastic walks in this amazing landscape. Lanzarote has captivated us!

The property was really comfortable - plenty of space and fully equipped. There is Apple TV, which means you've got Netflix, NOW, iPlayer etc. The welcome pack was far superior to what we've been provided with before, with beers, wine, coffee, tea, milk, bread and snacks all left out for us. Marcus and Heidi have got guest interaction balanced just right - there when they are needed and otherwise, leave people to their own devices. Communication was great before and after. The hire car recommendation was brilliant - pick-up and drop-off right outside the terminal building and all-inclusive of all extra ... take Marcus' recommendation on this car hire firm. Casita Palmeras is a beautiful property, and the attention to detail is staggering. Marcus and Heidi have obviously spent a lot of time, thought and energy on making it just so. We couldn't fault our stay.

If you are considering this for your accommodation while visiting Lanzarote, stop considering and book it! :) Marcus and Heidi are wonderful hosts, very professional and friendly. They gave us great tips on what to see on the island and a wonderful list of restaurants to try. The restaurant list included also a recommendation what to eat in them. How great is that! We did not have to put in any effort other than setting the navigation. All the restaurants we visited were just as described or better. The house is exactly what we were looking for, cosy and rustic in a cute little village. It is in a calm location, has a heated pool and is surrounded by huge palm trees. It is not one of these accommodations decorated only to fill empty walls and rooms, here you feel the character of the village and the liking the hosts have for it. While booking, we were unsure if the lack of air conditioning will be a problem – it was not – even during hot afternoons the inside of it was very cool and pleasant (probably due to the purposeful architecture). Haria is a great village, much nicer than seaside towns full of hotels and tourists. The house is just 5 minutes walking distance from the village centre.
