Overview

The accommodation
We welcome you to our cosy, contemporary home, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
The house is built on two floors. Downstairs, we have a fully equipped kitchen, open to a double-height living room, which is warm and incredibly bright thanks to its large win-dows with access to the patio. On the other side, there is a spacious bedroom with a 150 cm double bed, a bathroom with natural light and a dressing room. The hallway between them has large windows and we have converted it into a work area with a desk.
Upstairs, there is another bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom. You will also find a built-in wardrobe in the hallway where the washing machine is located, near the exit to the roof terrace where you have sun loungers.
Enjoy the convenience of high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV and our beautiful roof terrace where you can sunbathe or relax after a day of walking while watching the small urban garden grow.

The village of Grazalema
The village is small and you don't need a car to get around. Our house is located on one of the main streets, not far from the main square of Grazalema where you can find gro-cery shops and good restaurants. You will also find shops selling local products, such as Payoyo cheese, one of the best in Spain, cured meats and honey. Also of interest are the organic oils and wines made in the mills and Nearby wineries.
There is a century-old factory producing merino wool blankets where you can purchase these typical high-quality handmade items. Also noteworthy is the leatherwork produced in the neighbouring village of Ubrique.
Grazalema is a village with well-preserved original architecture and festivals that are very interesting from an anthropological point of view, such as the Toro de Cuerda (Bull on a String) in Virgen del Carmen or the historical re-enactment of ‘Los Bandoleros’ (The Bandits). A village with its own cuisine, fresh air and friendly, down-to-earth people.

Activities
From Grazalema, you can go on impressive hiking trails. In just a few minutes, you are surrounded by nature, in the heart of the Natural Park, where you can see beautiful birds and flowers and animals roaming free, such as mountain goats. This is an area where you will find the white villages and hamlets of the Sierra de Cádiz and Ronda.
In winter, snow arrives in Grazalema for a few days and it is quite an event to contem-plate the beauty of its white landscapes. Autumn and spring are the best times for hiking along the numerous trails that link the white villages. There are companies specialising in horse riding, hang gliding and cycling routes. Archaeological, wine and gastronomic tours are also available. In summer, the nights are lively and cool, with numerous terrac-es open until late. There are many places to swim and cool off, such as the municipal swimming pool, Arroyo Molino, El Pantano, not forgetting the nearby coasts of Málaga and Cádiz.

How to get around
There are four airports nearby: Málaga, Seville, Gibraltar and Jerez de la Frontera.
Grazalema is only 30 km from Ronda, a monumental and romantic town that is a must-see, surrounded by small wineries producing the most sought-after wines in the Sierra. There are two daily buses from Grazalema to Málaga that pass through Ronda.
Seville, Cádiz and Málaga are approximately 2 hours away by car.
The centuries-old wineries of Jerez de la Frontera and its famous Andalusian horses are only 1 hour away.
Grazalema has a taxi service.
There is a Tourist Information Office.

We are a married couple living in Andalusia, between the sea and the mountains. I am an architect, born in London, and my wife, from Cadiz, is an artist. We love to travel and greatly appreciate simple spaces, good conversation and good wine. For years, we have designed and built our homes as life projects into which we put all our experience and love so that those who come to stay enjoy their time here and feel welcome.
