Al Qasr (meaning The Palace in Arabic) is truly a paradise like no other! A 180 m2 split-level villa nestled beautifully on an extremely private 1500 m2 southwest facing plot, surrounded by high perimeter walls and large secured solid entrance gates, with plenty of parking, offering total anonymity. The property consists of a fully fitted kitchen with German appliances, a separate open-plan octagonal dining room with bespoke dining table, a spectacular open-plan living room with enormous glass windows from which to enjoy the stunning views. There are two bedrooms with ensuite/bathrooms within the main house, one king, one twin, the third ensuite bedroom (king) is located within a totally secured lower terrace attached to the main villa. Where this property truly excels more than most, is its outside spaces, not only does it have courtyards and numerous terraces with spectacular views, but a stunning covered al fresco dining area right beside the sparkling 8m infinity pool, a covered veranda for sitting out of the midday sun, a large partly covered chill-out lounge, and a smaller more intimate open air chill-out lounge with built in sofa. There is a second (twin) room The Samira and second bathroom located at the opposite end of the ground floor, allowing total privacy between the bedroom accommodations. The third bedroom The Layali (king) and contemporary bathroom are situated in a totally secured and private area of the grounds, still attached to the main villa.

Cabrera is a very special and unique village with two excellent restaurants both within a 5 minute walk from the villa/2 minute drive. Cabrera is approximately a 12km drive from the beautiful coastline of Mojacar & Mojacar Pueblo, with its fantastic choice of restaurants and bars. Golf courses too are plentiful and are approximately a 25-30 minute drive. For the more adventurous you can even drive to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort in less than 2½ hours. There are three airports accessible to Cabrera, offering budget flights from the UK, Almeria is the closest at just under 1 hour away, Murcia (new) is approximately 1 1/2 hours and Alicante 2 hours.

Full details:

Double gated entrance to a large gravel driveway with plenty of parking. A wide stairway leads down to the double gated entry courtyard and access to the main villa, the outdoor chill out lounges, the gardens, lower terraces and attached ensuite bedroom.

The front door leads into a small entrance hall, where a few steps up lead you into the spectacular spacious and luxuriously appointed lounge, with bespoke gas fire, large grey aniline leather corner sofa, 43" smart flat screen Sony TV, with English Channels & Radio stations. BluRay, super fast wifi, Bose Soundlink resolve +II portable speaker, and pieces of Moroccan furniture!

As you ascend these few steps up into the lounge you will come across one of the most stunning views in Cabrera, showcasing through an enormous 6 metre full length window! The lounge naturally flows through to an arched open-plan octagonal dining room, with four sets of arched French doors leading directly out to the beautiful infinity swimming pool and terraces. The dining room focal point is a stunning octagonal bespoke American Walnut table, with seating for 6 guests.

From the dining area descend into the well-appointed white kitchen with German appliances. The kitchen is ideal for cooking, whilst chatting to guests in the dining room or directly onto the veranda by means of a double window, or even the lounge.

The open plan kitchen comprises of white drawer and door units (where you'll usually find plenty of pantry items, with our 'pass it on' scheme to keep waste low) with Silestone work surfaces, a large Siemans electric range fan oven/grill with 5 burner gas hob, American Fridge Freezer, coffee machines etc. The washing machine and dishwasher are located in a small utility room through a door at the end of the kitchen, which also leads out to the back passageway, the laundry drying area and the gas BBQ.

You'll find two bedrooms with ensuite/bathrooms within the main house. All bedrooms have individually controlled A/C units and come with Egyptian cotton sateen bedding, Portuguese cotton bedspreads and large thick fluffy Royal Egyptian bath towels. All bathrooms are fitted with high-end, Italian and Philippe Starck by Duravit sanitary-ware & Hansgrohe rain-head showers.

You can reach the Master Bedroom (The Amira), via the curved glass and tile staircase from the open-plan living space. Here you'll find a King Moroccan teak four-poster bed, matching beside tables and blanket box, all below a huge domed ceiling. Your own controlled Air conditioning unit & fan. This remarkable octagonal room includes picture windows and double French doors, leading you to your own private wraparound balcony. All with spectacular views to Cabrera's famous Eagle's Rock and far-reaching views to the Alpujarras and Sierra Nevada. On the opposite side of the bedroom descend down into the Master ensuite, with large Italian sink, bidet and a large walk in rain shower.

The twin room (The Samira) is on the ground floor. With a beautiful hand-crafted Andalućian traditional tiled headboard, Moroccan bedside tables, large mirror and white high gloss wardrobes. French patio doors lead you to your own private balcony with wrought iron chairs, with lovely thick cushions and again, spectacular views. Located next to The Samira off the entrance hall, is its own separate bathroom with Italian high gloss sink, a contemporary vanity unit and a large bath with overhead rain shower.

On the secured lower terrace attached to the main villa, you'll find the third ensuite king room (The Layali). With separate access via the stairwell, (off the secured courtyard), you'll see it is beautifully formed. Featuring a contemporary Italian ultra-modern ensuite bathroom with walk in shower/large rain head, large modern sink/vanity, well-lit with large mirror, extractor fan and LED lighting in the bathroom niches. Large sliding door for privacy from the bedroom. The bedroom has a king size bed, large padded headboard and personal reading lights, wall hung bedside tables, a wardrobe as well as a large window and louvred shutters. At the end of the bed is a picture wall with purple mood lighting to aid relaxation. A full-length glass entrance door allows you to sit up in bed and admire the breath-taking scenery! Enjoyed with a morning coffee made with the facilities inside your room. Ready for you to stretch and step out to the seating area, made for two.

Hi, We are Lynn and Fraser, We fell in love with Sierra Cabrera about 12 years ago. We loved the peace and tranquility and the fact it is close to Mojacar Playa and the old town. With a busy work/home life, we decided to buy a small place by the beach that was (and still is) purely for us. Knowing that at some point, we would buy a larger place inland to share with our family and friends. When Covid hit, we had more time to look for a special place and we found it, online. We were so excited but also so frustrated. Frustrated because we couldn't get out to view it ourselves but excited because we knew we were going to jump and buy it, without laying eyes on it. Due to lockdowns, travel restrictions and paying guests we didn't see the Villa until the day we completed and got the keys in September 2021!! We were both blown away by the views (I cried) and the scenery outside all the windows. I really don't think the photos do them justice! I pinch myself, every time I either look out the window or see them from the many terraces and balconies. As well as sharing it with our family and friends, we have also decided to rent it out. The rental will be the same all year round. No spikes during seasonal weeks. With that in mind, we have since been busy updating lots of items. New Pool furniture, bedding and towels to name a few. If you've rented Al Qasr in the past, you'll be pleased to know, Jane and Chris are still the Villa managers.
