Villa with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and private pool in Cómpeta, Spain

From £1,015 per week

Idyllic Country Villa with a private Pool, Jacuzzi & BBQ set in the Competa Mountains

Overview

Enter our villa via the secure electronic gates which will lead you to a private driveway big enough for around four vehicles
. From the private driveway, walk up a dozen steps and turn left into your own private pool area, boasting panoramic views across the hills of Competa which can be enjoyed from sun loungers aund chairs around the pool or on the raised terrace surrounded by gardens.

Just next door to the pool sits an outdoor BBQ House, fully equipped to enjoy fresh cooking and al fresco dining, where there is a table and chairs provided. This area, alongside the swimming pool, can be lit up at night, so you can continue eating and socialising into the evening.

Towards the back of the BBQ House in a secluded area next to the garden are two permanent bricked in chairs, where you can read and relax and take in some of the most beautiful scenery that the area has to offer.

Walking towards the Villa, there is a large veranda just outside the front door. Again this is an ideal area for al fresco dining with a large table and six chairs, and it is extremely handy on exceptionally hot days or for those guests that prefer to seek shade. Next to the veranda is a private Hot Tub which can seat up to six people. Panoramic views of the mountains can be enjoyed from the Hot Tub and it remains private, situated within two walls so that you can enjoy your surroundings in complete tranquility. This is also the perfect place to star gaze on clear nights.

Upon entering the villa you are soon greeted with traditional property features complimented by modern amenities. Through a bricked archway is the newly installed kitchen which has a large LG fridge and freezer, a built in oven accompanied with a built in microwave which sits on top, an induction hob, a slow cooker, kettle and toaster. It comes fully equipped with all the utensils you will need to enjoy cooking and eating in, such as cutlery, plates, bowls, oven trays and induction saucepans. There is also a small table and chairs in the kitchen.

There is a functioning dining area which sits open planned with the living room. It has an extendable dining table and can seat up to six people. It sits inside two large sash windows which amplify natural daylight, and is an ideal spot inside the Villa where you can enjoy the views from the Competa hills.

The living room is situated around a wood burner stove which is a charming feature for enjoying cosy nights in with a glass of local Competa wine. There is a three seater sofa with colourful scatter cushions and two side table lamps. Two matching armchairs accompany the three seater, and you can use the TV which has some English channels if you can stream you will have more choice . Wifi is free . we fully appreciate that the Villa might encourage you to completely switch off and relax during your stay!

In 2001 we were new proud owners of a villa on a large plot of land in the mountains of competa spain.
Since that time we have improved & added to make casa Maria a home from home
Which we hope you will also feel at home in & see the magnificent views that we never tier of
Enjoy your holiday

We have been married for 42 years and have a son and a daughter in their 40s. We have recently welcomed our second little granddaughter into the family. We live in the Suffolk countryside on a farm with our two jack russels. We originally bought the villa in October 2001 and it was very basic; there was no pool, terrace or BBQ House. We bought it with all good intentions of taking regular breaks from our busy haulage business, but unfortunately this did not happen for a solid 5 years! Now we are gearing towards retirement, we have chosen to renovate it, not only to encourage others to benefit from memorable holidays that we didn’t have time to, but hopefully we can start to finally enjoy it as well. We have a lovely villa that has not had the enjoyment from people that it should have, and we are delighted to now finally see this change. Because our business was so busy, we were instantly wowed by the views of the property and the tranquility of the surroundings; it provided the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day life. We also liked the idea of potentially renovating it in the future because it was relatively basic when we bought it. Now we are semi retired, it has been a nice little project for us to undertake and we are very excited about the future of the villa.
