Comodidad y sencillez La casa tiene todo lo necesario. Situada en un sitio que permite pasear, hacer la compra y tomar algo. Todo caminando. Eso sí, pillamos temporal y el viento sopla a lo bestia. El pueblo no puede ser más bonito y su gente muy amable.

Comares is an experience. The location is a whitewashed mountain village at the top of a winding road. In winter it was quiet but there are shops and restaurants. The house is comfortable & well equipped and the caretaker was readily available. Highly recommended.

I´ve spent 1 month in the Casa José - a very very nice place, also for long term stays! With a lot of space on 2 respective 3 floors, with a fully equipped modern kitchen, a big bright living room (nice views to the mountains already from the sofa) - and the big roof terrace. From here the view on the mountains is really spectacular (very special atmosphere due the autumn light)! For me was it the best way to calm down and relax - also in autumn/winter (pleasantly warm sun). Furthermore: fast WIFI, clean rooms, and the teams service: problem-free communication in English, every question was answered fast as well as wishes like a cuddly blanket and pellets for the pellet oven were gladly fulfilled. And last but not least: the Casa José is located a bit off the location centre, so it was very quiet! I had a great, quiet, relaxing time - thanks a lot! Highly recommended!

Great fully-equipped house with everything one may need for vacation stay. Comares is very nice village and the mountains panorama you can see directly from the house is breathtaking. We loved to stay there.

We had a great and luxury stay at Casa Jose. The house is spacious, very clean and has a well equipped kitchen. Every day we enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace with stunning views over the mountains and the village. Because the house in the village, we have experienced ’the real Spain between Spaniards’. On two minutes walking you find the bakery, supermarket and restaurants where you could eat a three course meal for € 7,00. We are very pleased with the way we are guided by the owners (who live in the village): a proper settlement of the payment and we were helped immediately if we had questions. Highly recommended!

We hebben een geweldig luxe verblijf gehad in Casa José. Het huis is ruim en zeer schoon en heeft een goed uitgeruste keuken. Elke dag hebben we kunnen genieten van een ontbijt op het ruime dakterras met een schitterend uitzicht op de bergen en het dorpje. Omdat het huis in het dorp staat hebben we het 'echte Spanje tussen de Spanjaarden' beleefd. Op twee minuten loopafstand zijn de bakker, supermarkt en restaurantjes waar je voor 7 euro een drie gangen menu kan eten. We zijn zeer tevreden over de manier waarop we zijn begeleid door de verhuurder (die in het dorp woont): een zeer correcte afhandeling van de financiële zaken en bij vragen van onze kant, werden we direct geholpen. Een aanrader!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Jose very much, amazing views & a gorgeous village We found the local community in Comares to be very friendly and helpful and the service we received was first class. The house was lovely and as described in the listing. We found that we were ideally situated for day trips to a lot of interesting places & visited Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Ronda among others. Highly recommended.

nice, spacious and clean house (dishwasher a great plus), good value - great views, in particular from the roof top terrace (pictures show the truth) - very nice historic village, very quite and peaceful - easy hand over (beginning and end of holiday), nice caretakers ==> A spectacular retreat, a place to come back and feel at home

We had a lovely holiday in Comares in this house. The house was clean and comfortable. There were only 2 of us therefore, we didn't use 1 floor of the house - ground floor which had 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. We spent most of our time on the sun terrace, views are amazing. We were lucky to be there for the fiesta and the house is in a perfect location in the village, quiet but only minutes from the main square which has bars and a restaurant. We both said, whilst on holiday, that we would return. Now that we have been back a month we still agree we will return. Happy to recommend, the house was great value for money. The owners were prompt with all enquiries and allowed us to enter the property early (this would obviously depend if the house was free on date of arrival). Looking forward to returning.

The house has a very good location in the village with a fantastic view and a lovely roof terrace with grill. The house was nice and clean with large spaces in three floors. Good technical equipment and Wifi. We wery good welcomed and got a quick help with the small problem we had. It would be nice if there were instructions for the TV and other technical equipment.

Отдыхали вчетвером с 27 мая по 30 июня 2014 года. Замечательный городок с узкими улочками и белыми домами! Магазин в минутной близости. Аптека чуть дальше. Машину парковали перед домом. Дом просторный, четыре спальни, светлый. Из окон открывается потрясающий вид! Как из окна самолета! ( иллюминатора) кухня оснащена всем необходимым, в гостиной телевизор. Замечательно работал интернет!!! Прекрасная скорость! Кондиционером почти не пользовались, так как в доме было прохладно и комфортно (по этому счет за электричество нас приятно порадовал), думаю это особенность домов в горах. В доме все исправно работало! Нам очень было там хорошо! Отдельное спасибо Хосе Антонио, за помощь ! Когда нам была нужна его помощь, он решал все вопросы невероятно быстро и качественно!! За что Большое спасибо! Очень хочется вернуться туда еще и еще!

We have a vacation from may 27 to June 30, 2014. In the house lived four people. Wonderful town with narrow streets and white houses! Shop in the minute vicinity. Pharmacy little further. Our car was parked in front of the house. The house is spacious, four bedrooms, bright. The Windows offer a spectacular view! As from the window of the plane ( illuminator)! The kitchen is equipped by all necessary, the living room TV. Remarkably the Internet worked! ! ! Fine speed! Air conditioning is almost never used because the house was cool and comfortable (on it the account for electricity us pleasantly pleased), I think it is a feature of the houses in the mountains. Everything in the house was functioning properly! We were very good there! Special thanks Jose Antonio, for the help ! When we needed his help, he solved all questions incredibly quickly and efficiently!! Many thanks! I want to go back there again and again!

The first thing to mention about this house are the views, they're stunning! Sitting on the roof terrace, one can see for miles and miles to the valleys and mountains beyond. On the other side of town, a short walk from the house one can see all the way down to the coast (and I'd swear on a clear day I saw Africa). The house itself is cool, airey and comfortable and provides everything you would need, and the village shop is a 2 minute walk away. We were struck by the wildlife in and around Comares, house-martins and swifts are nesting at the moment and constantly flit around the roof terrace hunting insects, I saw an eagle soaring in the valley down below and even helped a chameleon across the road. This house is perfect for anyone wanting to experience a Spain that has been lost to the tourism of the Costas (even though the coast is only a short drive away). Here donkeys and mules are still used by farmers and the fields are full of crops. We had a great time, and will certainly be back

Casa Jose liegt im wunderschönen Bergdorf Comares und ist somit ideal für einen ruhigen Urlaub. Leider ist dadurch die Anfahrt natürlich auch ein wenig mühsam, weil man erst einmal über Serpentinenstraßen auf den Berg kommen muss, Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. In der Küche ist alles Nötige vorhanden. Es gibt auch einen Fernseher, leider kann man nur spanisches Fernsehen empfangen. Die Dachterrasse ist wunderschön. Die Betreuung vor Ort war freundlich und jederzeit ansprechbar. Schön ist auch, dass man die Schlafzimmer komplett abdunkeln kann. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Comares is a perfect place to calm down. The house has everything you need and a great roof top for BBQs. The space of the house is big enough for 8 people travelling and also ideal for kids. In Comares you will find supermarkets, a pharmacy, restaurants and bars. If you would like to travel around the Axarquia or Andalusia, we definitely recommend a car. Comares is a perfect point of departure to do trips to hiking regions, to the beautiful beaches and also to see Malaga and its cultural sights and shopping streets. A great value for money! Casa en el pueblo muy grande con todas las comodidades. Rafael muy atento , siempre dispuesto a todo lo que pidamos.Aconsejada a las personas que busquen tranquilidad , montaña y practiquen senderismo.

Our abiding memories of this house will be the peace and the views. We had had to book at very short notice for reasons beyond our control, and still managed to find this lovely property at such a bargain price. The house really wanted for nothing - anything that was missing was replaced within 24 hours, sometimes much sooner. It's location on the edge of the village gives panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and mountains from the rooftop balcony. The proximity of the 'tanatorio municipal' while a little noisy at times did not detract from our holiday experience, and underlines the fact that this is a working village not a sanitized tourist resort. Comares is also a lovely village that boasts one restaurant,3 bars and a pharmacy within 5 minute walking distance and a supermarket and bakery, a mere 2 minute walk. There are also further restaurants a short drive away, including the excellent Table Mountain at the nearby hamlet of Los Ventorros. Go there for the food, the cocktails and the genuine hospitality. We have already recommended Casa Jose to friends and would happily do so to others.

Når vi bestilte Casa Jose via internett, ble administrasjonen veldig godt organisert!Da vi kom til Casa Jose fikk ble vi veldig hjertelig mottat og fikk vi vist rund i bygda! Casa Jose er meget luksuriøs med massevis av plass og har en fantastisk utsikt over fjellene. Fra stuen og takterrassen føler du deg Spanske kongen mens du ser på utsikten over fjellene. På den store takterrassen med grillpplass kan du slappe av på den komfortable solsenger.Landsbyen er koselig med flere kafeer og restauranter, der vil du bli hjertelig mottatt og kan du spise deilig mat og drikke for lite penger Du kan også lage mat selv i det velutstyrte kjøkkenet. Matbuttiken ligger i gangavstand, mindre enn ett minutt, fra huset. Til frokost får du innen samme gangavstand morgen du varmt hvetebrød! Det har virkelig manglet ingenting, og vi vil definitivt komme tilbake!

We enjoyed our stay in Comares, and found it to be an even more interesting area than we expected. All of the amenities functioned such as washing machine, dishwasher, Internet, tv,etc.,, and the directions to the house were precise. If we had questions, several people of the service were available to help. No problem with putting up the front end deposit and no hidden or surprise charges at the end, which we have sometimes encountered. Good folks to to business with and a fascinating and historic countryside

Living the Spanish Dream...for two weeks with views to die for! Casa Jose sits on the edge of Comares Village, it is a home from home with everything we needed as a family in the village. We were holidaying amongst the villagers with friendly neighbors and all that goes with farm life in the hills. We walked each day passing almonds drying on patios and grapes soaking up the sun in gardens. We passed by a working almond mill and farmers leaving and returning on mules from a days toil. It truly was a wonderful and sometimes humbling experience. The views from everywhere in Comares are well documented and so fantastic , that words fail me! A roof top terrace at the house was a pleasure to relax on often to the tinkling of goats bells not far below. The local swimming pool and close proximity of the village meant our children could be independent, walking about meeting other youngsters in relative safety. We found nice eating places with generous measures of liqueurs! We made a day of it when we ventured away from the village and the mountain road is excellent to drive on. An extremely enjoyable stay and one we plan to do many more times,l am sure!

Highly recommended. Deidry B Casa Jose offered everything we were looking for. A comfortable house, with 4 separate bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a terrace with astonishing mountain views. The house was well cleaned when we arrived. Service level was above par. We arrived at 2AM, no problem for the care taker. We sent some books to Comares, no problem for the care taker to pick them up and bring them to our case. We had a small issue with the toilet, it was repaired within hours. From Comares, it was easy to reach out to all of the Andalusian highlights: Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda, etc. We mixed cultural trip to the ancient cities with relaxing beach life at the Mediterranean Sea. So, yes indeed, we recommended Casa Jose to our friends! Marcel D.
