Amarilla Golf Villas is a stunning new development of luxury units of the highest quality. Set in an unrivalled location the development offers wonderful views over the golf course, down to the sea and the marina. The development stands out as one of the best in the area.
Each unit has been furnished to a very high standard and offers the ultimate in comfort. This particular unit has a large sunny terrace where you can sit and enjoy the amazing views.
Amarilla Golf Villas offers private, individual and luxury accommodation combined with hotel style facilities such as an on-site manager, laundry service and it's own restaurant / bar serving food all day.
Here you can relax and enjoy good food and fine wine whilst taking in the wonderful views.
There are 2 bedrooms. 1 has a kingsize bed and ensuite. The other has twin beds and an ensuite.
The living room has two very comfortable sofas. The TV has a unique system picking up 100's of channels around the world including Russian, Spanish, German and full UK TV with films and sport.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
The state of the art kitchen offers everything required for dining in.
The units at Amarilla Golf Villas do not have their own washing machine but a free laundry service can be provided.
Amarilla Golf Villas is set on the edge of Amarilla and Golf Del Sur. A 10 minute walk from the development is the marina that separates the resorts. Here you will find some lovely sea front restaurants and bars. Some bars have nightly entertainment. The marina also has a small, mainly shingle beach.
Further into the resort of Golf Del Sur, the San Blas Commercial Centre offers 3 pretty squares lined with bars, restaurants, shops etc. Many of the restaurants have live acts.
Major attractions such as Siam Park and Jungle Park are within a 15 minute drive.
Los Cristianos and Los Americas are a 20 minute drive away.
The air conditioning is available during Summer only (June to Sept). Heating is provided if needed in the winter.

A beautiful location overlooking the golf course down to the Marina. The new property was very modern with a fabulous kitchen area but instrutions on how to use the hob would have been useful.
The restaurant area on site was great and cannot say enough how helpful and friendly the staff were nothing was too much trouble for them. Also a mention for the pool and garden man who was a great help to us with any problem we had. All in all a lovely place and would not hesitate to return.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment over new year. The apartment itself is large and spacious although it isn’t easy for 4 people to watch tv at once as the tv can’t be turned towards the sofa. You can pull the chairs around though.
The kitchen is high spec, although the ice maker isn’t plumbed in and not all the pans work on the induction hob. The coffee machine was also a little temperamental.
Bedrooms are fine. Comfortable beds. The duvets aren’t the same size as the duvet covers which is slightly irritating. There was no furniture on the upstairs balconies when we stayed but we didn’t mind. You can hear conversations at the restaurant/bar from the bedroom, as it’s only single glazed. However it was usually quiet by 11.
Hot water takes a while in the bathrooms and at least two of the taps are plumbed the wrong way with hot/cold mixed up which caused a bit of confusion!
My main issue with the property is that the pool was not heated for the duration of our stay. It can only be heated by 7-8 degrees, so when it is cooler, i.e. in winter, it can’t be heated enough to be a comfortable temperature. We were also told that it was too windy to cover it once heated, again in my experience Tenerife is windy most of the year. Access to a heated pool was by far our main reason for choosing this property and paying a significant amount for the week. I made that clear when I first made contact and at no point prior to arrival was I told the pool only might be heated, depending on conditions. We were there with two children who wanted to play in the gorgeous pool outside the apartment but could only last a matter of minutes before shivering so much they had got get out.
The staff at the restaurant were lovely and friendly. There is a good local supermarket about 5 mins walk away.
There was no washing up liquid, very few toilet rolls, only one bin bag etc when we arrived. Standard for self catering but for the “luxury” billing I’d expect a few more of the basics or perhaps a welcome pack?

Very helpful people, lovely little Bar attached. Swimming Pool, mins from shops, Golf, Seafront and on top of that great weather. Perfect December getaway !
Good location and great views, all staff friendly and helpful. The café/bar good and popular. Apartment large and spacious, two balconies but no furniture! Kitchen area modern but only one plug socket at nearly floor level. It felt like it needed a woman's touch! Nice terrace with comfy seating and again lovely views. Ramped wheelchair access into the property and apartment on the level. We thought it unusual for the apartment not to cleaned at least once during our week's stay and having to empty the bins ourselves. It was surprising that there was no aircon for such a new build but two large fans were provided. There weren't any robes or slippers provided so it would have been useful to know this as the floor was tiled. Overall we enjoyed our stay, perhaps when the site and apartments are completely finished and smaller details rectified it can then be marketed as luxurious.

Wow! Unit 3 is a spacious, high end duplex with fantastic, uninterrupted south facing views over the golf course to the marina and ocean.
There is a large, open plan living/dining area on the ground floor, with a superb €55,000 gaggenau kitchen - including an induction hob you almost need an engineering degree to work, full size oven, microwave, big fridge, separate big freezer and even a dishwasher. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and basic pots and pans plus salt and pepper.
There is a dining table with four chairs on one side of the kitchen. At the other end of the space, a 2 seater sofa and 2 uncomfortable but very stylish chairs and a coffee table. In a corner next to the kitchen, 2 comfortable wing chairs angled to watch the medium-size TV, which has a USB socket. Wifi is superfast.
2 sets of glass doors at the back open to the large pool, shared by 4 units. There are generous sunbathing areas with a choice of several comfortable sun beds with parasol, garden table and chairs, and the wonderful view, of course. Throughout our stay, unfortunately, we were told the gorgeous pool could not be heated due to the strong winds.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms: the large master has huge windows on two sides and a spacious ensuite with a whirlpool bathtub and a shower while the twin bedroom has a large shower-room across the hall - and there’s yet another spacious shower room on the ground floor. All showers are hose showers, which we find much more practical than the popular rain showers. Water pressure is adequate. There is a hairdryer in each upstairs bathroom. Both bedrooms have good wardrobe space and balconies but no furniture there yet.
2 towels (1 hand and 1 bath) per person and 1 pool towel per person are provided. Mon-Fri there is a free laundry service, usually returned around 5.30pm if collected from you in the morning. Suggest having your next lot ready to give the nice lady (no English) when the previous lot is delivered - much the easiest way.
We, a couple, were here unexpectedly; this was a kindly arranged upgrade, due to problems that suddenly developed at the originally booked property. When we arrived we learned that these new units were not quite ready but the owner had graciously permitted early use. However, this meant some minor snagging was outstanding. Niggles were usually dealt with as soon as reasonably possible, sometimes the same day.
The landing path for planes is almost directly overhead (Golf del Sur is next to the airport) and planes are frequent and close but it only took a few days to get used to the noise.
The owner’s new bar/cafe is just 30 meters away (open your doors to the pool and turn left) and open from 9am until 11pm. So, on arrival, it is a convenient 1 minute stroll for food and drink. However, it can be noisy at night although there was talk of limiting this by closing the nearest section in the evenings.
The nearest shop, a small, basic supermarket (called Pebble Beach), is about 200 m away, opposite Fairways. It’s open from 8am to 8pm and run by an Englishwoman. She sells freshly baked baguettes every morning as well as fresh milk, while most other supermarkets only stock UHT.
Large HiperDino Charifas II is 4-5 km away and open 9am-10pm every day except Sunday; it has some products we are used to in the UK but not available in most other supermarkets here, including fresh milk/yoghurt/cream, magnum ice creams, good quality cooked chicken and generally products are of a higher quality than the nearby Mercolada, which sells mainly own label products. There is a petrol station next to Mercolada.
After we got home, we learned the breakage deposit is only returned 10 days after departure and THEN takes several days to show up, so allow 2 weeks. Finally, in case you might arrive late, request confirmation that a large bottle of water will be put in the fridge ready for your arrival. If you prefer real coffee, bring your own cafetière or other makings. Also, do pack some washing up liquid for the kitchen and small soaps for 3 bathrooms (both handbasins and showers). A roll of toilet paper is provided in each bathroom, a rubbish bag was already in the kitchen bin and a sponge by the sink, so you will not need to pack those. We arrived mid-afternoon so were able to go out right away to buy a few basics like water, milk, butter, bread, sugar, tea, coffee and other basic necessities.
Summary: roomy, modern 2 bed, 3 bath villa. It’s called a “duplex” but it’s really a villa; noisy location, but how many 2 bed units have you come across where you can walk out of your huge living/dining room straight onto that amazing patio with sunbathing beds, a beautiful swimming pool - and those fabulous views!
