Tranquil, delightful, 3 bedroom villa with private pool and grounds, stunning mountain and lake views. Close to local villages, beaches and golf. Perfect for that relaxing, chill out time in the sun!

Overview

This beautiful 3 bedroom villa is located near the popular village of Alcaucin in Andalucía, Spain. A haven of tranquillity, this spacious, light and airy villa is designed over two levels : the upper floor has a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, utility room with automatic washing machine, lounge with TV and DVD/ CD Player, open fireplace and door leading onto a large terrace with stunning views. There is also an entrance hall and marble staircase that leads down to the lower ground floor. A double bedroom with its own private terrace enjoying those spectacular views, just right for that relaxing morning coffee, completes the upper floor.

The terrace has dining furniture and enjoys a sweeping panorama of Alcaucin and the valley to Lake Viñuela; a perfect place for alfresco dining, enjoying a cocktail whilst watching the sun set over the dappled white villages, or simply star gazing on a balmy summer night.

The large lower ground floor has a bathroom and two further double/ twin bedrooms, one with patio doors leading to the private garden and pool area. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and air conditioning and the lounge and kitchen have ceiling fans.

Outside there is a large, private garden area with colourful borders that blend perfectly with mother nature, heating swimming pool (8m x 4m) and sun loungers / tables where you can relax in total privacy and soak up the sun! The villa and grounds are completely fenced and gated, there is a large driveway for several cars and the only things to disturb you are the birds and butterflies.

This is a non-smoking property, although ashtrays are provided for smoking externally on the large terrace.

Mobile and Internet devices work well at El Olivo. There are excellent Mobile and Internet connections available within the Villa to those who have European Roaming Packages or free Wifi.

The two nearby villages of Alcaucin and Puente don Manuel offer plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and local facilities and there are numerous activities in the Alcaucin area where you can enjoy a full range of outdoor activities, picnics and water sports. The beach and golf facilities are within a 20 minute drive.

Just fifty five minutes from Malaga Airport, the Villa is perfectly located for exploring the real Andalucía, yet within easy reach of the coast with its popular beaches and golfing facilities. Two villages, Alcaucin and Puente Don Manuel are within 3 kms. of the property offering local shops, including a butcher and baker, bars and restaurants both Spanish and English, banks, post office, beauty salon and chemists. There are numerous activities in the Alcaucin area. You can reach the natural park 'El Alcazar' and Lake Viñuela within 5 minutes. There you can enjoy walking, horse riding, cycling and fishing, also numerous beautiful picnic spots and the local Pueblos Blancos are charming, giving a true insight into rural life in Andalucía.

Within 20 minutes drive of El Olivo you arrive at the coastal resort of Torre Del Mar with its long sandy beaches, promenade, restaurants and bars. The nearby water theme park of Aqua Velez and other activities such as indoor ten pin bowling, go – karting and cinema complex offer entertainment and if you fancy some retail therapy there is a large shopping complex at El Ingenio with shops such as Zara, Mango, Massimo Dutti and the hypermarket Eroski.

Caletta de Velez, a charming fishing village with its own Golf Course, Baviera, is adjacent to Torre Del Mar and just a further ten minutes away from Torre you will find the charming and much photographed Pueblo Blanco of Frigiliana, the Nerja caves and many cosmopolitan beaches such as Burriana.

Historic cities of Cordoba, which is packed with unusual Moorish and Christian architecture and a truly stunning Cathedral, and Granada with its magical Alhambra Palace are some 90 minutes drive away. Take the opposite direction from the Villa and 90 minutes will bring you to the costal luxurious resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus. If you want to go a little further afield, Seville, the vibrant, artistic and cultural capital of Andalucía is just two hours drive from the villa, as is Gibraltar, with its famous Barbary Monkeys and magical history that has evolved from its strategic location at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula,

El Olivo didn't disappoint, tranquillity, panoramic views, super walks. The accommodation perfect for us, with every conceivable living aid. The local shops in Periana, Vinuela and Puento don Manuel all we needed on our seven week stay, bonus was the Saturday flea market in Alcaucin. Bazaar Lilli just off the A402 if using that route to Vinuela a proper Aladdin's cave. Special thanks to the local contact Caroline Semple who kindly left essential welcoming supplies and responded so promptly and helpfully to any requests or help we sought. What a beautiful area of Andalusia, missing it already.

Outstanding Villa

Just the most wonderful villa surrounded by stunning mountains and nature. If you love peace and tranquility you will adore it here.
The Villa was spotlessly clean. Kitchen is amazing - home from home with absolutely everything you could wish for.
Pool ( fantastic ) and all terraces have the most wonderful views. Particularly enjoyed the Juliet balcony out from the bedroom we used.
Area is beautiful for exploring white villages etc. Had superb meal at Hotel La Viñuela.
We did large first shop at Eroski supermarket at Valez Malaga then stocked up at little local supermarkets.
Bbq was excellent at the Villa.
Owner very swift to answer any questions.
We will definitely go back at some stage the rest was unbelievable.

We arrived at the villa in the early hrs of the morning, so was dark and we couldn't see the surrounding area, we quickly sorted a few bits and went to bed..... waking a few hrs later bought fabulous views, the sound of bells on the goats that roam the mountains, it was wonderful.
The villa itself is great, clean , comfortable, facilities are excellent there is everything you need , Bbq, ice machine ! Pool , dishwasher, washing machine.
There is so much wildlife around the villa, birds, lizards, deer and we saw an iberien lynx !!!
It's a beautiful and relaxing place to spend time.

The villa was perfect for us - complete isolation, amazing views and high quality facilities. It is the best equipped villa we have ever stayed at - the utensils and facilities are high specification. We felt incredibly relaxed at the villa.

We have just returned from a week staying at El Olivo and have had the most amazing time. The villa and views were stunning - more beautiful than the photos can show. The villa was very well equipped and suited our family needs.
There is a local bakery and a couple of small convenience stores locally and a Lidl and large supermarket / shopping centre a little further away. We found a nice restaurant in Torre Del Mar and visited other local towns and villages - Comares is particularly beautiful with fantastic views across the region. We also had a good day at Aquavelis, a local water park. Sitting on the terrace, relaxing with a glass of wine, looking out on the stunning views was a real treat, listening to the goat''s bells from further down the valley. A great holiday, would thoroughly recommend.

Dirk and Sylvia Dear guest, We were looking for the real Spain. No high-rise buildings, no overcrowded stands, but peace, the sun and the landscape. Living among the Spaniards is what we found in Casa El Olivo. When we arrive at our villa, all stress disappears and the enjoyment can begin. Dirk and Sylvia
