Overview
A beautiful villa, the perfect 'Home from Home in the Sun!'. Designed with space in mind, 3 large double bedrooms each having either en-suite bath or shower rooms, a large lounge with panoramic views and Satellite TV. A well appointed large kitchen with views overlooking the valley and private swimming pool. The dining area provides a comfortable dining environment for up to 10 people with direct access to the main veranda and private 8 x 4m. swimming pool. With sun and fun in mind, the villa roof overhangs the veranda to provide over 40 sq. metres of shade from the midday sun. From the veranda you have full views of the valley whilst still being close enough to the pool terrace so that wherever you are, you're together. The gas BBQ is located on the pool terrace next to the veranda making it the centre of attention for those lunch or evening meal times. All this set within over 7,500 M2 of it's own private olive grove. A beautiful peaceful tranquil setting. Located in the Alcaucin valley below the beautiful white washed village of Alcaucin we benefit from stunning views of Mount Maroma, The Zaffaraya Pass and down the valley toward Lake Vinuela.

Fantastic week. James and Alex have thought of everything. The swimming pool, BBQ, large verandah, pool table and amazing views mean no need to go out for the day every day. Kitchen fully equipped, coffee machines in every room. Whole place immaculate. We visited the Alhambra - unforgettable - as well as Malaga & Nerja. Would definitely go back. Only small point is that we found the master bedroom mattress a little soft. Thoroughly recommended. One of the best holidays we've had. Loads of great memories.

We had a great holiday at La Roca, the villa was perfect, views were amazing.
Everything was exactly as described if not better, we will definitely consider going back.
You will need a car but driving there wasn’t a problem, the direction provided were perfect but you can also use google maps directly to the villa.
We did some activities in Torre Del Mar, the floating fun Park was great as well as the electric scooters along the beach front.
It was about an hour drive to Nerja or Fuengirola where you can find boats or watersports.

Diana
The property is very spacious and has all mod cons , very comfortable .

A villa with fantastic views and of a high standard. La Roca is very well equipped with all you could need for your stay. The bedrooms are all a good size with plenty of storage and all with ensuites. The kitchen has recently been upgraded and the fridge already contained a small selection of supplies. There is a choice of air conditioning or ceiling fans which was useful. The windows also have insect mesh which was a nice touch. The pool is a good size but a little on the deep side. The drive from the airport is straightforward. The final part of drive to the villa is a little bit more interesting but not a problem and you quickly become accustomed to it. Alcaucin is a picturesque village with a small selection of restaurants and shops. Velez Malaga and Torre Del Mar are just a 20 - 25 minute drive away. We enjoyed breakfasts with a view whilst eating warm bread fresh from the local bakers. The local area is quite hilly and may be a bit of a challenge for the less mobile. Overall a very enjoyable stay at a top quality villa.

David
Spacious villa a little tired and untidy outside.Adequate for our requirements. Very lovely owner who was very helpful.

Geoffrey
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we have been to this area many times, amazing views. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay was available in the villa, the road down to the villa is very steep and very uneven but did not cause any problems and you do not need a 4x4 as we only had a medium size saloon. All in all a very relaxing holiday.

Hi, We purchased the land for La Roca in 2000 and went on to design and have the villa built. It is important or us that La Roca is a 'Home from Home in the Sun!' and we want you to feel at home during your stay. One of the crucial design features of La Roca is the wrap around veranda that provides shade all day, every day so you can escape the sun. The pool is located within the terrace to gain maximum benefit of the warmth of the sun from mid morning til sunset. The kitchen is located to overlook the swimming pool and is fully equipped to enable you to cook anything from a light snack to a full banquet (if you really wanted to!) All 3 bedrooms are generously proportioned and benefit from en-suites, either bath or shower. The Bathroom has the added benefit of being a 'Jack and Jill' meaning that it acts not only as an en-suite, but also a general use bathroom, but don't panic, the doors to the hall and the bedroom can be locked to ensure privacy. One of the little noticed benefits of Alcaucin is the main road to the village. It is a wide carriageway without tight bends to navigate and plenty of room for cars to travel in both directions. And the drive from the main road all the way to our car port is fully concreted so there are no dirt tracks to navigate, unlike so many places. In the village itself you will find a couple of restaurants, banks, mini market and bakers. We are lucky to have the local venta (La Parra Bar & Restaurant) just 400 metres from our driveway. We are located away from any main road and within our own private olive grove of some 7,500 square metres and are not overlooked by anybody, giving us complete privacy, peace and quiet but still within striking distance of 'civilisation'. If you have any questions about La Roca, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Warm wishes, Alex
