Overview

For high quality and affordability, Gravills Vacation Rental is a luxury apartment located in the tranquil district of Micoud and no more than a 15-minute drive from the international airport. The accommodation is immaculate, fully furnished, spacious, and secured on a 1/2-acre property with a beautiful garden of flowers and tropical fruit trees—also ideal for a short or long-term working holiday. There is office space and free wi-fi at 50mbps—you get all you need to feel at home. Yours to enjoy in total privacy.

We are not set up for children under ten years and can accommodate three people. There are two separate apartments in the building; we live on the ground floor while you occupy the entire upper level.

Your apartment contains the following:

Bedroom 1 -Measuring – 13ft x 13ft. Full-length built-in mirrored wardrobes, cable TV, AC unit, and Ceiling fan. We supply Spare bed sheets and pillowcases.

Bedroom 2 - Measuring – 11ft x 10ft. Full-length built-in mirrored wardrobes, cable TV, AC unit and Ceiling fan, sliding door leading to rear balcony. We also provide spare bedsheets and pillowcases.

Rear Balcony – Overlooking the beautiful garden and measuring – 28.5ft x 13ft. There is outdoor furniture, including chairs, loungers, and a coffee table.

Shower & toilet - Measuring – 9ft x 6ft. We provide bath towels. We also provide shower gel and toilet tissue to start you off.

Newly fitted Kitchen / Diner - Measuring – 20ft x 13ft, including a dining table for up to six. The kitchen is well equipped with all the gadgets (including popcorn and pizza maker) to make your stay very comfortable. We provide all kitchen equipment and utensils, including a microwave, LPG cooker/stove, oven, and full-length fridge with top freezer.

The kitchenware includes pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, casserole dishes, cutting boards, dishes, glassware, cutlery, kitchen foil and plastic wrap, tea towels and dish soap, paper towel holder; we start you off with a roll. We supply condiments, coffee, tea bags, drinking chocolate, and some bottled water to start your vacation.

Living Room - Measuring – 17ft x 11ft including 48 inch Samsung Smart TV and other entertaining equipment

Office Space includes a built-in desk and office chair.
Front Balcony – Measuring – 22ft x 5.5ft fitted with a table and four chairs.

Also included in your space is free and secure parking.

We share the laundry room on the ground floor, which is stand-alone (separated from our apartment) measures 12.3ft x 10ft. However, you have total access whenever you choose to do your laundry. The apartment is always kept spotlessly clean and well organized.

Guest Access:

The entire apartment and garden are yours to relax and enjoy.

Interaction with Guests:

Should you decide not to hire a vehicle, we can provide a pickup service from Hewanorra international airport upon your arrival. Our charge is reasonable, below the standard taxi fare. A tour around Saint Lucia is the main feature on visitors' "to-do list." We can provide this service at a reduced rate; the choice is entirely yours. Whatever your needs are, please do not hesitate to ask. We will be available 24/7. We are committed to ensuring the comfort of all our guests. Therefore, we will respect your privacy.

Other Things to Note:

Along with the natural lighting, there is a constant flow of cool tropical breeze throughout the holiday apartment. In addition to the A/Cs, there are ceiling fans in every room apart from the toilet/shower.
We ask that our guests use the AC discretely. Whatever time you are awake in the mornings, we suggest you open all the doors and windows to allow the free flow of cool breeze through the apartment; it is safe to do so. You can also leave all windows and doors open whenever you go out as long as we are on the premises; we will secure the apartment if we decide to go out later. Please note that the electricity supply in Saint Lucia is 220- 240V, but we can accommodate 110V. You may, however, bring along your power converter if you wish.

The added convenience of mosquito screens that we have fitted on every door and window throughout the vacation rental ensures that you can sleep and relax in total comfort.

Getting Around:

Our vacation rental is in a community characterized by a mix of town and country life a short distance away from the rainforest. Less than 2 minutes walk or drive off the high road, you will arrive in an area free from disturbance. Hiring a vehicle for your stay is recommended.

Vehicle Rental & Rates:

We do our best to facilitate you by providing as much information as you may require; that includes vehicle rental. By doing so, we save you time, and in many cases, money too.
Most of our guests rent a vehicle during their vacation. Having your car means you have total control of your time, you manage your vacation to suit your schedule, and most importantly, you can explore our beautiful Island to the fullest.

You will require a St Lucia driving permit to drive on the Island. Driving is on the LEFT side of our road. The pass is valid for the duration of your stay. If you hold an international driver's license (IDL) or international driver's permit (IDP), then the St Lucia driver's permit will not be necessary. You can obtain your IDP from the American Automobile Association for our USA guests. (AAA). Contact your local AAA office for further details before you travel. Please make sure that you bring your National Drivers License with you.
For those who would prefer a cheaper alternative, you have the option to use our public transport.

Gravill's Vacation Rental rules:

The rules are simple.
1. Do not leave the gates open upon entry or exit.
2. Switch off all electrical appliances when leaving your room.
3. 3.No Smoking indoors; you are free to smoke tobacco products outdoors.

EXCEPTIONAL ACCOMMODATION AND HOSTS! EVERYTHING!! Where to begin...Let me start by the hosts. Stephen and Margaret are two of the kindest people you will probably ever meet. They are genuinely kind, very helpful and always available to provide the guests with the utmost comfort and service. They are also always ready to go above and beyond to make their guests feel like home!! We certainly did! The initial welcome we received was very warm even though we arrived late. We were greeted by Stephen and Margret. We completed the strict COVID-19 protocol (we loved that the rules were applied and we felt very safe). Margret then gave us a full tour of the accommodation and presented to us the rules and valuable information about St. Lucia. The next morning, Margret brought us fresh bread free of charge so we could have breakfast and start our day. If we wanted to have a tour guide, we would have been able to have one through Margret. We decided not to because we had rented a car and planned our itinerary. All in all, Stephen and Margret are wonderful hosts and people. Regarding the property, IMPECCABLE! The 2 bedroom accommodation had everything we could ever think of. The water was running very well and we had hot and cold water with no issues. The kitchen was huge and full of everything you need to cook your own meals (and even bake or make juice or ice cream!). Stephen and Margret also kindly provided us with plenty of complimentary food and fruits to use during our stay. All rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The 2 bedrooms were equipped with split unit Air Conditioners, while all rooms had fans. Be careful with the AC, b/c electricity is expensive and you might be charged extra if you exceed your allowance. The WiFi connection was strong and stable in all rooms. However, on the back balcony, there was no WiFi connection. But, why would you need a WiFi connection with the BEAUTIFUL garden! If you are visiting St. Lucia, do yourself a favor and book this accommodation!! Simply nothing!

"LUXURY APARTMENT!" 5/5 10 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!! This was such a revelation to us upon entering our vacation rental that we were just overwhelmed! The living room is huge as is the kitchen which has a myriad of appliances. It was always cool with the windows and doors open (with screens on all of them) and you have the choice of a fan or A/C in the bedrooms. We were able to get up, have coffee on the patio, eat breakfast, and then go when WE wanted to go. Margaret offers taxi service all over the island beginning with picking you up from the airport, seeing all of the sights (even setting you up with an experienced guide for the Pitons, bird watching, water fall, etc.), and dropping you off at the smooth water sand beach or where the ocean waves come rolling in (she left us with Marcus, who is a great guy, has lounge chairs, and drinks). I would very much like to stress to use Margaret as the taxi drivers just want to get you there as fast as they can. Margaret tell you all about the island, take you to the beach, and will return at the appointed time. Margaret is happy to take you to the bank to get Caribbean Dollars (if you don't get them at the airport) as it is much easier to pay as the US dollar is worth about 2.70 times the CD. Grocery shopping is a breeze and if you just want to stop to get a local meal, which are delicious, she can help you with that. We thoroughly enjoyed this vacation over the "resort" style vacation as we were treated to a "VERY EXPERIENCED!" host. Margaret and Stephen are wonderful, kind, and courteous people who attend to your every need INCLUDING current Covid requirements and when you need them. As a final thought- we simply want to go to the Caribbean during the winter and have found a "Home Away from Home!" It takes all of the worry out of planning for a vacation as Stephen and Margaret are in touch with you keeping up with your arrival and agenda. NOTE- we stayed for 5 days, went to Martinique to sail on Eye of the Wind, and came back which was such a relief to be "Back Home!" Some people were not so lucky as they stayed for 3 days, went somewhere else, and were so disappointed that they called to come back. It is ABSOLUTELY that nice! Stephen and Margaret sure great hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home in their place. Relax and enjoy yourselves! They have great suggestions on what to do while you are in St Lucia. The beach and restaurants are just a short drive away. Castries and Soufriere are a little further but not too far to go and spend the day. Beauchamp is a sub-village in the Micoud district. The much open space surrounded by nature typifies the truly unspoiled environment of our Island. I feel very fortunate to have a comfortable place in St Lucia to call home. Having the privilege of producing my organic foods is such an advantage. Conducting our business in the commercial, the hustle and bustle districts of the Northern part of St Lucia, then moving away to my sanctuary is truly a privilege. Furthermore, everything, from entertainment to business, is easily accessible from this location. I would not trade it for anything else!
