Overview
This house has been set up by us as hosts that have villa holiday-ed with our families and know exactly what big groups need. We aim to provide all of this, and more, from the welcome pack, to the beautiful glasswear, comfortable beds, books, games, music, and plenty of places to socialise.
Guests have full private access to all facilities at the villa. Private off street parking. Fully fenced property for privacy and safety. Pets welcome.
The villa really is a destination in itself, no need to leave. The pool area has an adjacent area for lounging, and is visible from the outdoor kitchen. The pool is fenced off, so doors and gates can be closed for child safety.
If you do leave the villa, there are lots of great things to see and do in the area. Long quiet walks through the vineyards and orchards make a great way to start each day.
The house is in the centre of the village of Vermelha. The village has 3 bars, a bread shop, a vegetable market, and a convenience shop. The co-operative adega (Mundus) on the village outskirts sells affordable, award-winning wines and delicacies including local olive oil.
Just a few minutes drive away is Buddha Eden sculpture park and Baccalhoa vineyard, with lakes and parkland and sculptures from around the world. You can spend all day there as there's a cafe and wine shop, and a train to take you around the park.
10 mins drive to the medieval town of Obidos.
15 mins to the largest go-karting track in Europe.
40 mins to the beach at Peniche.
There are wine tastings and tours offered at local Quintas, and excellent restaurants in Bombarral, the next village.
The villa is 45 mins drive north of Lisbon airport, 1 hour from the city and 2 hours 20 mins from Porto.
