Due to the location, car hire is not necessary.

This villa is ideally suited to couples or a small family group, with an older child. A cot can be provided if a baby is included in the family group, but the villa is not ideally suited to toddlers. The owner will be happy to explain the reasons in detail, upon request. The two bedrooms have Super King size doubles, both have full en-suite facilities, both have fitted wardrobes and air conditioning. Please note, we can accommodate 4 adults + a baby but a party of 5 or more adults is not possible.

When staying anywhere on holiday the number one priority is location. Absolutely vital that the location is safe, located in a quality, quiet, residential area and is well served by good restaurants with no rowdy bars or subject to groups of drunken holidaymakers or locals. Casa Laurena meets all these requirements.

Casa Laurena is a high quality 2 bedroom semi-detached villa (actually 3 bedrooms but we only use 2 bedrooms for rental purposes as the other is used for personal storage) and is a truly outstanding contemporary modern style property. Designed by a well known Portuguese architect and built by an equally well known Algarvian builder.

Located in a beautiful, peaceful and secluded setting with no road noise. Arguably the finest location in the Algarve being only 5 minutes walk from the new exclusive W Residences (Marriot Group). This is a new 7 star Hotel / Resort, which also has apartments costing up to £2.9M. Chosen by Marriot for their only 7 star hotel in Portugal is a good indicator of the quality and standard of the nearby location.

Also, only 5 minutes walk to Villa Serena, owned by the tennis player Serena Williams; Serena would not buy here unless it was in a top quality area. There are also a number of other "celebrities", who own property in the area.

The villa affords absolute privacy being situated well away from the noisy tourist areas yet only a few minutes drive to some of the gorgeous beaches close to Albufeira. Several beaches are walkable being less than 1 mile away. Only 5 minutes drive to the Old Town or the New Town (The "Strip" as it is sometime known). It is only 5 minutes drive to Gale beach, another gorgeous sandy beach that goes on for miles. 2 miles from the Albufeira Marina (€4 in an UBER), or a few minutes drive to loads of bars & restaurants.

There are numerous supermarkets within 5 minutes drive and several within walking distance. Loads of restaurants (at least 20 top quality restaurants) and bars walkable within 5 to 15 minutes of the villa, but not close enough for noise to be a concern.

There is easy access to the A22 motorway and the EN125; driving time to Faro airport is 35 minutes to 40 minutes with Vilamoura only 25 minutes drive away.

The villa is in a gated "village", entry by electronic gates, of only 6 villas but all with their own private gardens and large private pool, so no sharing with other people. In keeping with the surroundings, the garden is well stocked with shrubs, palm trees and flowers, which border the private pool adjacent to the terrace.

On the pool terrace there is a fabulous brick built barbecue, two dining areas, and a lovely seating area with high quality garden sofa & chairs. The pool and the garden have lovely subdued lighting at night so fabulous to sit out with a glass of wine and just chill.

In terms of accommodation, the villa is on 2 floors. The lounge / dining room, kitchen and family bathroom / with shower, are on the ground floor with the bedrooms on the upper level. The new fully fitted kitchen has a double oven, single oven / microwave, warming drawer, fridge freezer, wine fridge, hob, dishwasher and stunning Silestone worktops. There is a washing machine located in a separate utility cupboard, together with an iron & ironing board.

There are 3 double bedrooms but we only rent as a two bedroom villa. Both bedrooms are the same size, both have super-king beds, both with full en-suite facilities with large walk in showers, large fitted wardrobes and with air conditioning. One of the bedrooms has direct access to the large first floor terrace. The second bedroom has it's own balcony, with sitting area.

The large first floor terrace, mentioned above, is secluded and private, with fabulous views, and is in addition to the large pool terrace. Here you will find two seating areas with high quality garden sofas & chairs and sunbeds.

The property is fully double glazed, has an alarm system & CCTV monitored by Pro-Tech, Smart TV with Netflix, Sky (Sky & BT Sports) by internet streaming, fully air-conditioned, Wifi fibre internet (over 200mbs), BBQ, automatic garden irrigation system, coloured pool lights, garden lighting and solar panels for hot water. There is a large driveway and parking area and entry is by electronic gates.

Many golf courses can be accessed easily. The Vilamoura courses are accessed in 25 minutes and Salgados within 5 minutes. Salgados is only 1.5 miles away by foot and great to walk round even if not a golfer as it borders a nature reserve, several lagoons with a variety of birdlife.

The local villa manager can organise golf on your behalf but if you are a golfer I would imagine you have already conducted a fair amount of research. However, if you need help please just ask.

Unlike many other owners, we employ the services of a locally based villa manager and you can rely on them to assist if any problems arise. Rogerio and Nuno Alexandre own the real estate agent and villa management company Albuera Domus, and have an office in Albufeira. Rogerio and Nuno are available 24/7 to handle any emergencies and so give you comfort that you will be well looked after and given support if needed. They will personally meet & greet you at the villa regardless of arrival time, show you around and make certain you have everything you need.

We follow 'Clean and Safe' requirements to comply with the minimum hygiene and careful cleaning requirements for the prevention and control of the virus. However, given the complexities of the COVID "virus" we cannot give any guarantees in this respect.

Available for family holidays, and very suited to couples.

Casa Laurena was built in 2009 but has just undergone significant upgrade, with a new top quality kitchen, new en-suite off the main bedroom, decoration inside & out with the pool area & first floor terrace completely re-modelled.

For beach lovers, it's only a 15 to 20 minute walk to the beautiful secluded Castelo beach (the owner's favourite), Evaristo beach or Laurenco beach. Gale, another fabulous sandy beach with miles of gorgeous sand, is only a 5 minute drive and walkable being just over 1.2 miles. Most of the beaches have a bar & restaurant with Gale beach having 3 top quality restaurants and snack bars and there are several beach bars dotted along the beach.

The beach and golf course of Salgados is only 5 minutes drive, not to mention all the other top golf courses available in the area, accessible by a short drive.

The Apolonia super market is only 15 minutes minutes walk. Also a short drive to a Spar and Coviran (Oceana) supermarket, 5 minutes drive to Aldi and 12 minutes drive to the Algarve Shopping Centre, where the vast Continente supermarket can be found.

The location is absolutely ideal for those looking for peace and quiet with lovely restaurants a short walk away, but close enough to the more busy areas of Albufeira Old & New Town. As mentioned earlier, due to the location, car hire is not necessary.

You will not be disappointed choosing Casa Laurena for your holiday, both from the villa itself and the fabulous location.

Unlike some other villas the pool is large and there is loads of patio space as well as the secluded roof terrace.

Cancellation Policy:-

Holidaymakers who cancel at least 70 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that they've paid, less 6% handling fee. If they cancel after that point, they will not get a refund. For this reason we stress the need to take out comprehensive Travel Insurance, that includes a cancellation option.

Check In / Out

Check in is 3pm or after on the day of arrival unless agreed otherwise with the owner.
Check out is by 10am on the day of departure unless agreed otherwise with the owner.
Sunday entry is not available, any other day of the week is possible.
Gaps of more than 2 days between confirmed bookings is not possible.

NOTE 4 - THE POOL CAN BE HEATED UPON REQUEST AT ADDITIONAL COST BUT NOT DURING JUNE, JULY & AUGUST.

NOTE 5 - WE OFFER ADDITIONAL COMFORT BY ALLOWING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS VIA STRIPE. IF BOOKING, WE ISSUE A FORMAL INVOICE VIA STRIPE.

NOTE 6 - SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE VILLA. IF THERE IS EVIDENCE OF SMOKING IN THE VILLA THE SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

NOTE 7 - A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF £250 WILL BE COLLECTED BY BANK TRANSFER JUST BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE. IT WILL BE RETURNED WITHIN 1 WEEK OF DEPARTURE UPON A CLEAN REPORT REGARDING DAMAGE ETC. RECEIVED FROM THE VILLA MANAGER.

Absolutely perfect week By Vicki Stayed 08-Jul-2023 We loved everything about our stay, it truly was one of the best family holidays we have had in 14 years. It was a very hot week so we were particularly grateful for the gorgeous pool area and very well appointed space in which to relax. The recommendations for places to eat and other amenities were spot on and we didn’t have a bad meal all week. Particularly impressive as we have a teenager with some restrictive eating preferences! We loved the local beach restaurants and ate there several times at sunset. The views and ambience were spectacular. Everything we needed was close enough with a fantastic Supermarket only 15 mins walk away. We did take a few trips into Albufeira and had no problems arranging Ubers, the longest we waited was 5 mins. Everyone we met was very friendly, including the Villa Manager who met us on arrival. Fabulous Villa , great location By Nicky Truesdale Stayed 10-Jun-2023 Just returned from spending 2 weeks at Casa Laurena, we had a fabulous, relaxing stay. Service has been first class from Ken the owner right from when we booked our stay last year up to when we left last Saturday. Ken has been friendly, helpful, informative and regularly kept in contact, nothing has been too much trouble. When we arrived we were met by Nuno the villa manager who was friendly and helpful whilst showing us around the villa. Nothing was too much trouble when we had to contact him on a couple of occasions. Our holiday was perfect, the villa is spacious and luxurious, Ken & Yvonne have thought of everything for your stay. The location is quiet and there are some lovely restaurants near by which we visited a couple of times, the beach is not far away around 20 min walk. Albuferia old town is around a 10 min drive away and cost between 5-7 euros which we visited a few times. Was very sad to leave as we couldn’t have asked for more, everything was perfect. Simply Stunning By Craig Houston Stayed 15-Jul-2022 We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this Villa, and can honestly say the pictures don’t do it justice. It was just what we were looking for in a quiet area away from the noise and the bustle, but also within easy reach of this if you needed it. The property was 1st class and the pool area was immaculate and this place had everything we could have asked for with high class finishes throughout. Absolutely stunning place and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Ken was fantastic throughout the whole booking and the information he provided us was extremely helpful about local restaurants, beaches etc and we took this advise and visited almost all of them in the area. Stunning Luxury Villa in High Class Quiet Residential Area - Walkable to Beaches. An exceptional villa that is clearly loved and very well.maintained. We were after a home away from home and somewhere that didn’t feel ‘unloved’ as many rental villas can. We felt privileged to stay here and wanted for nothing. The semi detached property is very private and feels really safe, and the pool area is a dream. There is a really good quality supermarket within a 10 minute easy walk and loads of excellent restaurants nearby. Our initial impression was that we were a little ‘out of the action’ however we soon realised that we were very well located and that within an easy 10 minute walk we had a 2 michelin star restaurant, the brand new superb 5 star W hotel (Rihanna was there!!), the best chicken and chips we have ever tasted (Por do Sol) and lots of of authentic and delicious local restaurants. Uber Taxis always arrived within 10 minutes of booking and we even enjoyed an uber pizza that arrived within 20 minutes for a lazy lunch. If you want to be in the centre of the action, Albufeira is a just a quick taxi ride away, This villa really does have it all. Kate. Date of arrival - 4 July 2022

We bought our first apartment at Villa Rosal in Sao Raphael near Albufeira 21 years ago. We rented it out but sold after 3 years as it did not give us the peace and quiet we wanted for our own holiday. We bought a new villa in 2009 near Ferreiras, but moved on again in 2020 to our current villa, which we live in for 9 / 10 months of the year. We handle holiday rental enquiries for our own villa. We also handle enquiries for some villas and apartments that are managed by the local Villa Management Company, Albuera Domus, which is based in Albufeira. All our villas and apartments are in the "luxury" category, and located in very quiet, upmarket areas.
