Relaxing contemporary 2 bedroom holiday apartment with shared swimming pool, superbly situated at the beautiful Lagos Marina, only minutes walk from the beach, town, restaurants.
Overview
Apartment Wyborn is a second floor apartment, superbly situated on Lagos Marina, only a ten minute walk to Meia Praia beach. The restaurants and bars on the Marina quay side are a five minute stroll away and a further five minutes will take you across the opening bridge into Lagos town centre where there are many more shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. The golf courses at Palmares and Boavista Golf Resort are within fifteen to twenty minutes drive and the courses at Penina to the east and Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort to the west are about 25 minutes drive away. Payment for late arrivals are as follows: €30.00 for arrivals at the airport at or later than 6 pm and €50.00 for arrivals at or later than 9 pm. These are paid directly to our representative, Lauren Saunders. Together with her team she will welcome you to the apartment and give you 2 sets of keys.

The apartments are built around a central garden area where there is a large swimming pool, a pool for children and extensive sun terracing with loungers. There is also a playground for children in the near vicinity. Lifts are available to the apartments and 24 hour security is provided.
The living area at Apartment Wyborn is well furnished with twin sofas, a coffee table and dining table to seat six. Patio doors lead to a balcony which is furnished for outside dining and overlooks the pool area and to the Marina beyond. There are also two sun loungers. Satellite TV, CD and DVD readers are also provided. Air conditioning is fitted throughout the apartment, providing both cooling and heating, depending on your requirements, but making this property a suitable choice for a winter stay.
The kitchen is fully fitted and includes a full electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and microwave and juice maker. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower/bathtub. There is a built-in safe in the wardrobe. The second bedroom has twin beds and both rooms have large wardrobes providing plenty of hanging space. There is a separate bathroom with shower.
A Spa and health club is available at the Marina Club Suite Hotel just a short walk away, payable locally.
Exploring Lagos and surroundings
The cosmopolitan town of Lagos, which many believe to be the best on the Algarve, is on your doorstep. The Marina dominates the river as it opens into the sea and you can choose activities such as deep sea fishing, a dolphin seafari trip and yacht hire. Lagos is an historic town with city walls still standing after the earthquake of 1755 and there are several museums and churches worth a visit. This is a working Portuguese town with markets, shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The fabulous west coast beaches, where the surfing is renowned, are only 30 minutes drive away and the Monchique hills and the historic old capital of the Algarve, Silves, is an equal distance the other way. As Apartment Wyborn is so centrally situated, a car is not essential for your holiday enjoyment but to gain an appreciation of just what the Western Algarve can offer, a car is recommended.

I almost don’t want to write a review as I want to keep it as hidden gem! We’ve just returned from another wonderful week in Lagos. Maria’s apartment truly is a home from home. It has everything you can think of, and for those other things there’s a supermarket just a stone’s throw away. It’s a great location, and the pool is lovely (if a bit chilly).
As with pretty much all other holiday destinations, be prepared for the early morning sun lounger battle during busy times, but there’s plenty of space around the pool. Lagos itself has a great mix of restaurants and bars and the beaches are some of the best we’ve seen. It’s also very handy for the train - maybe a 10 minute walk from the apartment. We’d definitely recommend!

My partner, daughter and I had a wonderful holiday. The apartment is clean, spacious, well equiped and well situated for the beach and the town. We have stayed at this apartment several times, it really does feel like a home away from home. We plan to return again next year.

We really enjoy our holiday in Lagos. The apartment was fantastic, exceptionally clean and had everything you could need for a perfect holiday. The location was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend it to family and frineds . We look forward to staying again in the future.

Outstanding apartment, exceptionally clean, very speacious and in a wondferful location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate booking this apartment again. The only criticism would be that there could be more sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool area.

Excellent apartment in ideal location, beach, marina, town etc. Easy to get to from Faro. Efficient staff. Would definitely recommend it. That said, in peak months the number of sun loungers may present an issue with some beds being "reserved" but unused for a couple of hours on occasion. Also, non residents appeared to have access during my stay.

Reviewed June 11, 2011 I would like to thank Maria for letting us rent her fabulous marina apartment, yet again. We have now been going to Lagos and this apartment for 8 years and it just get better everytime. The apartment has everything you could wish for on holiday. It really is a home from home holiday. Fantastic bedrooms, 2 bathrooms huge kitchen, living/dining room and balcony. The view over the pool and marina just add to the overall enjoyment. Lagos town is a great size not too big and has lots of great restaurants which are not very expensive. I better get my skates on and book in again for my nexy holiday.
Reviewed August 5, 2012 Edinburgh to Faro direct and return is good - no flight changes. Faro airport under reconstruction following storm damage, so a little time consumming to find the hire car place. However drive to Lagos (1 1/4 hrs) was pleasant and steady and lovely views. Apartment block is walking distance from Pingo Doce, the supermarket. Prices good particularly the lovely local stuff. Met by the complex Rep. Corinne and had a good introduction. Entry to the apartment was a big WOW. Very artistic, high standard and new. Good ambience with lots of extras such as books/DVDs. The kitchen is fully equiped if you decide to cook. The flat is like a home from home, spacious, well laid out, very comfortable, private. Early season but we still had breakfast on the veranda overlooking the swimming pool, which was never too busy. Colder temperatures in the evening were compensated by free use of the electric heat pumps (double as air conditioners).

We could walk everywhere easily - marina 5 mins, town 10 mins, beach 15 mins, so no need to hire a car. The pool area was excellent, and never too busy. The supermarket just across the road had everything you could need. The weather was hot and sunny during the day, but could be chilly in the evening, so worth taking a few warm clothes. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to be back soon.

I have always had a special preference for Lagos. The people in the town are most kind and do make an extra effort to ensure that you have a wonderful and relaxing holiday. I came to visit Lagos for the first time while I was still living in Mozambique, where I was born. Little did I know that I would eventually buy a property there, because I liked it so much!! We hope you like it too.
