Overview

Located in a quiet residential area between Dona Ana and Porto de Mós beaches and set among well-maintained gardens, Vilabranca is a popular choice for family holidays in Lagos in the western Algarve. With delightful views across the inviting swimming pools to the Bay of Lagos and the ochre cliffs beyond, this spacious apartment contains two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite) and ample accommodation for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. It is just a short drive or 20-minute walk to these beautiful beaches and there are many other lovely ‘Blue Flag’ beaches within easy reach. Golf courses are nearby. The historic walled town centre of Lagos is just a 15-20 minute walk away. You will find local food shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes of the apartment. Local bus services pass the entrance to the Vilabranca complex.

This second floor apartment can accommodate up to 4 adults (one kingsize and 2 single beds), although an additional child is possible. It is particularly suitable for couples or families. There is a balcony with lovely open views and has all you require for al fresco dining. The Vilabranca complex has 4 swimming pools (2 for adults and 2 for children), a restaurant, bars and a selection of leisure facilities. There’s also plenty of space – and sun loungers – for relaxing outside.

The apartment has air conditioning for hot summer days, as well as gas and electric heaters for the cooler evenings in low season. The lounge/diner contains a flat-screen TV with DVD player and a stereo music system. The kitchen is equipped with a gas/electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. In the apartment there are hair dryers, an iron and ironing board and small safe.

Historic Lagos is ideally placed for travelling around the western Algarve.​ The town has an impressive walled centre and offers much to be discovered. It was an important centre during the Age of Discoveries (15th century), when Henry the Navigator's vessels left the port taking explorers to all corners of the world.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this apartment. We recommended it to a young couple with a 4year old for next July . Area fairly quiet which we like . Could do with a few more facilities on site. But all in all a great time .

We had a great stay at Vilabranca! The property was actually a lot more spacious than we had expected and had everything we needed. Adrian gave us all the info we needed in plenty of time, and was easy to get hold of. The pool was a dream, having the bar and cafe so close was just ideal and it was all super reasonable too. Location was perfect, not too noisy but only a short walk from the action. All in all a perfect stay, would definitely recommend and will most likely be back next year!
