The Apartment:

An immaculately presented south facing apartment in a new and secure private complex with a large furnished balcony overlooking the swimming pool with lovely views towards the sea and Lagos Old Town. This very spacious, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, perfectly located apartment is ideal for couples or families seeking a holiday in relaxed surroundings, with all amenities close by.

The beautiful beach of Meia Praia is just a 5-minute walk and Lagos Marina, with its many waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants a couple of minutes more. Lagos historic centre with its cobbled streets, pavement cafes, shops, bars and restaurants can be reached on foot in 10 minutes via the Marina footbridge. This location is ideal for those who do not require a car.

The apartment is on the second floor of the newly completed Dunas Do Mar complex in Meia Praia and is easily accessed via lift. The spacious accommodation is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with the living area and master bedroom opening onto a large south-facing balcony that offers a wonderful view of the large swimming pool and sunbathing terrace.

Set in tranquil surroundings, the apartment offers guests truly luxurious accommodation in the best location in Lagos on the Western Algarve of Portugal.

Local Area:

The Algarve is the southernmost region in Portugal and is renowned for its wonderful year-round sunshine, amazing sandy beaches and world-class golf courses, all of which make it one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. The Western Algarve is an area of outstanding natural beauty; an unspoilt haven with some of the world's most beautiful beaches, set against dramatic cliffs and rugged coastlines, interspersed with traditional fishing villages.

Lagos (pronounced Lah-gosh) is the third largest town on the Algarve, straddling the river Bensafrim and surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt countryside. It is rich in history and tradition and has chosen to develop its tourism with taste and class, which is why it is widely regarded as the most charming town on the Algarve.

By day, wander around the maze of narrow cobbled streets, full of pavement cafes, boutiques and antique and art shops. Once the sun goes down, Lagos has a vibrant nightlife centered around the old town with an abundance of bars and restaurants to suit all ages and budgets.

The main promenade, which overlooks the bustling fishing harbour, is lined with exotic trees and provides the ideal setting for an afternoon stroll. Just across the water, the cosmopolitan Marina de Lagos is a popular mooring for yachts and pleasure craft and a magnet for visitors. With its colourful waterfront boasting excellent restaurants and lively pavement cafes, it is the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

The longest and most impressive beach in the area is the beautiful Meia Praia beach; a 5km stretch of golden sand with watersport facilities, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire.

2nd time of booking this apartment - if it was less than excellent the first time I wouldn't have, and my wife certainly won't have allow me to.
Once we decided we are visiting Lagos again, especially as it's our first family holiday since Covid we choose the Dunas Do Mar 2-bedroom Apartment as it meets all our requirements.

As a family of 5 we were able to fit easily, the apartment is also quite large and arranged to make it a home away from home. I love that there is now a table in the kitchen where the kids can eat, localising any mess.

The balcony overlooking the pool to relax in the evening and read or listen to a book.

The internet speed is great - streaming netflix and prime video, you may need a VPN for prime, but I was able to cast my phone to the TV being on the same network

The children used the swimming pool almost daily, the supermarket is minutes walk away - you can always call uber or bolt for 3euros to take you back to the apartment

The old town, restaurants are all walking distance.

In all another excellent holiday to start us off again :)

From start to finish, this was one of our best holidays.

The apartment is great. Huge rooms, plenty of storage, TV with english channels, nice balcony with views over the harbour/beach and handy BBQ.

Our kids loved the pools. They're quite cold early morning but quickly heat up once the sun comes out.

The apartment is in a quiet area north of the town centre but you're only 10-15 mins away from the hustle and bustle of the marina and old town. A huge well stocked supermarket is also 10 mins walk.

Meia Praia beach is 5 min walk but you're also only 20-30 min walk from some of the most stunning beaches we have ever seen. Praia Dona Ana, Praia da Batata, Praia dos Estudantes are a must.

Communication with Paula and Clive was fantastic and they were extremely accommodating from providing an extra travel cot to allowing us to check in/check out outside of the normal hours.

All round amazing!

Perfect holiday, apartment was well situated with lovely beach, marina and good supermarket all within easy walking distance.
It was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need including balcony with barbecue and comfortable seating, nice airy kitchen with clothes drying balcony and lovely lounge with multi channel tv.
Can't wait to return to this wonderful apartment in a great area of Portugal.

Just about perfect in every respect. From a North American perspective, don't look for a standard size fridge or heated pool. The pool makes sense and warms up with a few days of sun. The fridge -- which seems to reflect U.K. norms -- is tiny. Which given the size of the unit (huge) and kitchen (huge) really could find lots of space for a larger unit. No big deal. Just a continuing puzzle.

The best value: location mid-way between the beach and old town is ideal; the unit itself is spacious and clean with all the necessities; TV is smart and does pickup Netflix and Amazon with one's home membership; neighbourhood quiet and safe; groceries handy; sun a couple of hours daily on balcony is lots and spa/pool deck has good sun all day; good views from BR and balcony; windows on two sides -- lots of lights; user friendly garage; virtually private elevator with only one other unit sharing the floor.

Our first time in Portugal. It was all we hoped for. Paula anticipated just about all our concerns. And dealt with others promptly. Her directions to everything are impeccable and deserve attention.

This is a fantastic apartment in a great location. Close to the beach and marina and a short 10 minute walk to Lagos old town. The nearest large supermarket is 10 minutes walk although there is a mini mart around the corner.
The booking process and communication with Paula the owner was easy and all information regarding access to the accommodation and directions as well as other useful information regarding the area and apartment were sent in a timely fashion.
The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need including WiFi and British TV, a real home from home.
I would recommend the apartment to friends & family.
