In Silves, about 20km, you have an old castle (one of the most old in Portugal), the river and the old part of town. Then you can find a lot of stuff to visit and do it in Algarve. Golf, tennis, football, beach, fishing, mountains, walk, running.

Excellent villa. Clean with all you require. Brilliant BBQ area, brilliant pool area, all in all a fantastic stay full of home comforts. Dog issue seems to have resolved itself as never heard a peep from any dog. Would go back. Only negative issue was we were only issued with one key between seven of us. Made it quite awkward at times when the younger contingent wanted to do things away from the oldies. Apart from this an excellent week in an excellent villa.
