Luxury summer house in a spectacular location overlooking the South China Sea. Built on the edge of virgin rainforest, this property has a 2 km private beach & coastline. Fantastic for nature lovers!

Overview

Beautiful summer house in a spectacular location overlooking the South China Sea. The house sits on a very large property with 2 km of private coastline (of which 600 meters are white sandy beaches). The mountains in the background - covered with rainforest - form a spectacular backdrop.
This is NOT your regular summer house near the beach. This is a place to leave your smartphones and tablets behind, relax and connect with real PEOPLE face2face. Our place is a comfortable green oasis, located in the middle of pristine rainforest and surrounded by totally unspoiled beaches, far away from the noise and buzz of city life. our generator now runs from just before sundown untill a few hours after sunrise (approximately 13 hours a day). During daytime we get by without electricity so we no longer run the genset 24 hours a day. 2) our staff now consists of 2 gardeners, a beach janitor (for daily cleaning of the beach) and an all round maintenance man. We no longer have a designated cook on site. and none of the things you don't need. Since we are far from the city center, we carry everything at the Villa to make your life comfortable. You do not need to worry about food or beverages. We keep a well stocked bar with cold beer, wines, juices and we make great cocktails.
We like to eat fresh and healthy, so we have a large organic garden with vegetables, herbs and spices. We also keep French chickens (free range) for eggs and meat. Freshly caught fish can be had daily from a nearby fisherman's village. We hope our 3 Labradors and 2 Persian cats will make you feel at home the moment you arrive. During the daytime you will most likely be enjoying the surroundings and the beach. At night you will fall asleep, soothed by the sounds of the waves and the rainforest. All rooms are en suite and have a view of the ocean (from your bed).

Other amenities of the house include a gym, a viewdeck/ yoga platform, a petanque court, a hammock heaven (ideal for afternoon siestas), a bar and an outdoor kitchen. Planned amenities for the near future are a Zen Garden, a wood fired brick oven and a zip line that will take you from your balcony straight to the beach.

We are leading a comfortable yet low impact life style. We produce our own veggies and meat, make our own virgin coconut oil, natural bug repellents, yoghurt and cheese. We cook using only the freshest ingredients straight from our garden. We avoid chemical additives and processed foods. If you wish to learn about or participate in our organic farming, you are very much welcome. We have some live stock to tend to as well (cows, pigs, goats, water buffaloes, chickens).

Our place is ideal for:
People wanting to experience the cleansing effect of a Digital Detox
Families with children (you will be amazed to see how you connect with your children when there are no digital distractions around)
Couples looking to spend quality time together in paradise (hidden away from the rest of the world)
City dwellers looking to experience Pure Nature (from the comfort of a serviced villa)
People who favor a healthy life style
Animal lovers
* Adventure lovers (off road biking trips, trails, hiking, river crossings)

Possible activities:
Beach & Ocean (swimming, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, paddle boating, bonfire / BBQ)
River (swimming, fish spa, BBQ)
* Jungle (hiking on old mountain trails, native hunting trails, bird watching)

Just spent a fabulous week at the Amazing Villa over the Christmas period. Picked up by Herwig and transported across lush virgin Forrest terrain to the Villa welcomed by Turbo the lab. This is a terrific oasis in which just to unwind from the daily routine. The ocean view from the balcony off the main bedroom was stunning and mesmerised us for many hours as we sat in two very comfortable sun loungers. Our only suggestion is that a couple of comfortable chairs are needed for when it is raining. Two real highlights: One was the beach - felt we were on our own desert island. Stunning. Well kept -we had no issues with sandflies. 100% sand with a gentle run into the sea, no jelly fish or prickly business and a moderate surf. Very safe and just great to swing in a hammock under one of the shady trees. We loved walking 4 Km along the beach seeing only some fishing communities- not a tourist in sight. The other highlight was Theresa’s fantastic cooking. We felt we were being fattened up to be served on New Year’s Eve! Passionate and talented we enjoyed everyone of Theresa’s creations many of the products coming from their own organic garden. Get Amos to show you around and be amazed at the variety of veg, lettuce and herbs produced on the edge of a rain forest. Herwig provided great company in the evening as the bar is where it all ‘happens’ including WiFi connection if you needed a fix from the outside world. In all it was a truly amazing experience.

If you are looking for Nirvana, this is your place. Gilles & Theresa are such wonderful hosts making sure you are all catered for. 100% organic food served with a scenery that look straight out onto the ocean. Their own private beach is kilometers long stretch. It might not be for everyone, but if you are looking for a special getaway I cant recommend this place enough. I can personally vouch for this. Thanks guys !

Wonderful location with AMAZING amenities and view. Herwig and Theresa were undoubtedly so hospitable and made such a trek to pick me and my partner up from the Puerto airport (a 90-minute or so drive). The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable of tropical organic farming and they make delectable local food! The hosts are perfect for conversation-loving travelers and are very trusting with their space. If I could do it again, I would stay for longer.

We stayed with Herwig and Theresa for 3 days, unfortunately. Looking back we could have stayed for weeks. And Im sure they wouldve let us. Herwig and Theresa are extremely hospitable, the wil go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasent stay. More importantly, Theresas cooking is amazing! She works wonders in their outside kitchen, with only fresh ingredients. Herwig is in charge of the liquid cuisine. He will make you a "bottomless" rum&coke (or any drink you like) any time a day. Anything is possible at their place. If youre seeking some privacy, theres no better place then here. But also for cosy dining and late night talkings next to a bumfire, this is your spot. The rooms are new, clean and comfy. The surroundings resemble a bbc documentary. In short, truly worth it!!

Our stay in the Ylang Ylang suite was terrific. Herwig and Theresa were absolutely charming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We felt very comfortable and at ease during our stay. Their staff, Amos and Annabelle were very hospitable, kind and helpful as well. It was a unbelievably surreal being pampered with amazing organic farm to table meals (including a BBQ at the river with a natural foot spa), as well as access to a breathtaking private beach. They were extraordinary hosts and assisted with arranging transportation, tours and a hiking guide to accommodate our schedule. This is the perfect place to unplug and tune into nature. We loved it so much and would go back in a heartbeat. If you appreciate nature, animals, great food and conversation, book now!

Herwig and Theresas paradise was truly that. Pure paradise. You will never want to leave their beautiful beachside abode. They are very caring and accommodating hosts and made for an unforgettable adventure to Palawan. The rooms were immaculate, cozy and very clean. Theresa has added her special artistic touch to every part of their home. Very much enjoyed staying with them and having dinners and breakfast with fun conversations. The beach and river is truly missed the sunsets are breadth taking. The food is also amazing! Fresh, organic, and very very tasty. Theresa is a delicious cook! Masarap! Cant wait to get back to Palawan and stay with them again!

Beautiful sandy beach, secluded and surrounded by jungle. We had it all to ourselves and couldnt see a single other person or rooftop from it. The Villa is new and very romantic. Great views from the wooden balcony. Our hosts were fantastic. Herwig is a very interesting expat and fun to talk to. He organized all our travel arrangements and tours, including booking the tickets to the Underground River.

This was one of our most amazing travel experiences. Instructed by the host, we arrived on the roof of a Jeepney at this remotely located villa at Palawans West coast, overlooking the ocean with its own private beach. During our 3 days stay, we experienced organic farming, local cooking and learned a lot about life in the Philippines. Our very entertaining and kind hosts Herwig, Theresa and their wonderful staff made us feel as if we were visiting friends or family.

Such a peacefull place. My kids and we loved it so much to stay there. For sure we will go there again. After a 2 hour ride, crossing the rainforrest, seeing monkeys, popup the most wonderfull beach we ever saw. Herwig and teresa are a wonderfull host, never gave us the feeling we are paying guests, always we felt like we had a visit of our family in the countryside. Teresa cooked every day for us, and she is a real good cook. Superyummi, and all organic, free of chemicals, pure nature. My kids are totally in love to the cats and dogs who living also there. Plus the goats, especially the babygoat. Allinall, a wonderfull, real special small holiday in paradise. Thanks to all there Andreas & family
