Riad Shaden In Marrakech Medina - Suite - Sleeps 3
Riad with 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and golf nearby in Medina, Morocco
From £337 per week
Riad Shaden is a traditional 6 bedroom riad in the medina of Marrakech, an easy 15 minute walk from Place Djemaa al Fna and the souks. Our staff speak English and French.
Overview
Riad Shaden has 2 suites and 4 standard rooms, which can be rented individually.
We have 2 suites, beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan tiles and intricate plaster work. There are separate seating areas, with a third bed if required.
All our rooms are ensuite with shower (and bath in Amir), hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. There are flat screen televisions and safes in each room.
Guest rooms are situated around our spacious central courtyard where meals are taken, and we also have a large living room and several separate seating areas where you can relax with a book or a glass of mint tea.
Riad Shaden has a large, sunny and secluded roof terrace, with sunbeds, and a covered seating area to escape the direct heat of the sun. These areas are for the use of all guests. As we are a guest house, some or all of our other rooms may be occupied by other guests during your stay.
Breakfast is included in the price, and all our food is prepared in our own kitchen, using fresh produce bought daily in the local market.
Our property is staffed 24 hours a day, and our team, managed by Said, speak English and French. Why not let us do all the hard work for you. We can organise:
• Airport transfers
• Day trips and overnight excursions with our own English speaking driver
• Lunches and dinners in the riad
• Cookery lessons, including a shopping trip to the local market
• Golf
• Camel riding and quad biking
• Hammam and spa treatments
• Birthday or anniversary celebrations with dinner and entertainment
Free wifi is available throughout the riad.
Riad Shaden has been awarded Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence every year since 2011.

Julian
Comfortable stay we were well looked after by Mohammed and Staff. Advantage of being able to eat in. The location is away from the touristic area of the Medina and therefore required 15 mins walk through the narrow alleyways which at times was a bit stressful. The Riads Internet is not up to much and was often down.

After many visits to Marrakech we found the ideal Riad but were then disappointed to find out it was up for sale, when we discovered that the owner had bought a larger establishment called Riad Shaden we had no hesitation in giving it a try as the previous Riad had been excellent. Although further from the square [10 – 15 minutes walk] we always enjoyed the walk as it gave a chance to see local life as it happened. During our stay the ongoing programme of installation of drinking water pipes meant some roads were in the process of being dug up, as with the other areas where this has happened I am sure that the road surfaces will be restored soon. We were impressed by the size of the rooms at Shaden as riad rooms tend to be on the small side, the whole riad was tastefully decorated and comfortable in the evening we had dinner in the lounge and we would recommend that anyone staying should try at least one meal as the standard of cooking is fantastic and we also found it to be competitively priced. The owner has retained most of her original staff and we found that Youssef and Said spoke excellent English and one or other was always on hand to help us, we were particularly pleased they were there to help when we ran into a few problems due to rain during our camping trips and feel they went beyond the call of duty and always made us feel nothing was too much trouble. The ladies kept the whole riad immaculately clean and would provide welcome drinks whenever asked. To sum up having stayed in many riads in Marrakech over the last 10 years we find that the whole package on offer at Riad Shaden will compel us to return again and again. John and Jan, Jan 2012

Riad Shaden
Agency From Edinburgh, United Kingdom Member since Jun 2012
My name is Shona, and I live in Edinburgh. I have owned property in Marrakech since 2007, and I spend as much of my time there as I can. Riad Shaden is managed on a day to day basis by Said and Mohamed, who speak English and French. They are assisted by Saadia and Sanaa, who cook and clean, and generally look after our guests. Riad Shaden is our second guest house in Marrakech, and we are happy to have many guests who return to us year after year, having enjoyed their stay with us so much. We are happy to answer any questions about our riad or about Marrakech in general, either before or after a booking is confirmed, and we look forward to welcoming you to our riad.
