Riad Shaden is a traditional 6 bedroom riad in the medina of Marrakech, situated an easy 15 minute walk from the famous Place Djemaa al Fna and the souks. Our staff speak English and French.

Overview

Our riad has 4 standard rooms and 2 suites and can sleep up to 14 people.

All our rooms are ensuite with showers (one suite has a bath), hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. There are flat screen televisions and safes in each room.

Guest rooms are situated around our spacious central courtyard where meals are taken, and we also have a large living room and several separate seating areas where you can relax with a book or a glass of mint tea.

Riad Shaden has a large, sunny and secluded roof terrace, with sunbeds, and a covered seating area to escape the direct heat of the sun.

Breakfast is included in the price, and all our food is prepared in our own kitchen, using fresh produce bought daily in the local market.

Our property is staffed 24 hours a day, and our team, managed by Said, speak English and French. Why not let us do all the hard work for you. We can organise:

• Airport transfers
• Day trips and overnight excursions with our own English speaking driver
• Lunches and dinners in the riad
• Cookery lessons, including a shopping trip to the local market
• Golf
• Camel riding and quad biking
• Hammam and spa treatments
• Birthday or anniversary celebrations with dinner and entertainment

Free wifi is available throughout the riad.

Riad Shaden has been awarded Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence every year since 2011.

Please note that while we are happy to accept single sex group bookings, we would prefer that you contact us before confirming your booking to discuss your requirements.

We hired the whole Riad for my sisters 50th birthday and stayed for 3 nights (not long enough)!! We were a group of 15 middle aged females and enjoyed every minute from start to end.... The locals were very welcoming, the food was "different" the atmosphere, cultutre and hospitality second to none. We found our way to and from the Riad with no problems. One of our cases appeared to have been tampered with by airport staff and we were unable to unlock it, Youssef managed to break the lock for us and replaced it with a new one, the CD player decided to pack up on us and he replaced that within hours!! now thats what I call service. Im certain I speak for every single person in our group when I say THANK YOU to Youssef, Said and the ladies for making our stay at Riad Shaden one to remember and for making us feel sooo welcome. I would love to go back to Morocco and when I do Ill most definately be staying here. When changing money, dont change too much at the airport Youssef will take you to the square and show you where to get the best rate. Sukie D, March 2012

Absolutely love love loved staying at Riad Shaden- one of the best holidays I have ever been on!! My sister and I booked for 4 nights and we were blown away by the vibrant location, wonderful staff and the value of the accommodation. Youseff and Said were so very helpful, booking hammams, restaurant reservations, escorting us to pick and dro p off points and providing info on excursions (Said even prepared breakfast for us at 05.30am as we were going on an early excursion!). We also met the owners Shona and Ronnie who were a pleasure to speak to and had a vast knowledge of Marrakech and a genuine interest in the local culture. Shona was so helpful prior to our stay as I bombarded her with emails about sightseeing and taxi transfers etc! Breakfast was spot on and filled us up nicely for our busy days ahead. Rooms were cosy, clean and tastefully decorated- there were a number of rooms for guests to chill out in aside from the bedrooms which was lovely. We loved the 15 minute walk to the main square from the Riad as it gave purpose to our days and ensured we saw more of Marrakech than just the centre of the Medina. Marrakech itself was fabulous, burstling with energy and we found the locals to be very friendly. Riad Shaden is a little gem, I cannot recommend it enough. Both my sister and I felt quite emotional when saying goodbye to everyone and we will certainly be planning a further stay in the future, hopefully with all our friends next time! My name is Shona, and I live in Edinburgh. I have owned property in Marrakech since 2007, and I spend as much of my time there as I can. Riad Shaden is managed on a day to day basis by Said and Mohamed, who speak English and French. They are assisted by Saadia and Sanaa, who cook and clean, and generally look after our guests. Riad Shaden is our second guest house in Marrakech, and we are happy to have many guests who return to us year after year, having enjoyed their stay with us so much. We are happy to answer any questions about our riad or about Marrakech in general, either before or after a booking is confirmed, and we look forward to welcoming you to our riad.
