Look no further! Villa Dei Galli is a quaint home hidden in the hills of the Sorrento Peninsula, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Our family of five stayed for 7 nights, and cant wait to return! The home is very comfortable, sleeps 6, and has an open layout to the backyard. We spent the majority of our stay on the patio outside, drinking wine, soaking in the sun and taking in the view. The backyard is very large and the driveway is a hill, so we used the space in the mornings to workout before we went into town for coffees. The owners of the home were extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do, and available if you need anything. The location of the home is KEY, especially if you have a car. Although, the bus stop is only two blocks away. Because the house is on the top of the hill, you are seven minutes from Sorrento down one side of the hill, 5 minutes from Nerano beach on the other side of the hill and 10 minutes to Positano through the coastline. Not to go unmentioned, the town of SAgata is BEAUTIFUL, and we loved that it attracts less tourists than Sorrento. The restaurants in town are awesome, the grocery store is just two blocks away and everything was very convenient. Our family left to another location in Italy for the last leg of our trip, and missed SAgata, and Villa Dei Galli immediately. It really is the perfect place to stay for a family while visiting southern italy.

Relaxing in comfort Villa dei Galli has everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. All the rooms are comfortable, 2 main bedrooms are spacious. Well equipped modern kitchen. No air con, but one fan was provided. The kids adored the pool. Its not very big and not too deep so just perfect for a family. The terrace has wonderful views and just invites you to relax. We have been to Sorrento before and knew that SantAgata is a fair distance from Sorrento. It can cost up to 50 Euros by taxi, which seems a lot for a 15 minute drive. The bus service is fine, so you dont really need a car. However, it is several minutes walk from the bus stop to the villa, mostly uphill. Just a gentle stroll most of the time, but quite far enough if you have suitcases or need to carry tired, small children. We went to Sorrento and Pompeii, but were happy to spend a lot of time at the villa. SantAgata has decent food shops, including 2 small supermarkets, and several good restaurants so you can get everything you need locally. We were there a week and had two plumbing problems: the washing machine wasnt working due to a blocked drain, then the dishwasher hose burst resulting in a pretty bad flood all over the living area. On both occasions the owner got the problems sorted out within a few hours of us reporting them but he was pretty grumpy the second time. If it hadnt been for this (which hopefully wont happen to anyone else) I would have given an overall rating of 5/5.
