Casa Marielva

Casa Marielva is a cute and comfortable attic located along the seaside promenade of the pretty town of Maiori, very close to the little harbor from where you may catch boats to Amalfi, Positano and the Island of Capri (from April to October).
The village of Maiori is set at the foot of the mountains and can be considerate the widest village of the Amalfi Coast with its 1 km of sandy beach that offers healthy walks smelling the perfume of the Mediterranean sea. It can be also considerate one of the pearl of the Amalfi Coast thanks to a special mix of sea and lemon groves sloping down to the sea but it is not as touristy as the other places of the coast offering, however, a proper vibrant life especially in the night.
It is such a uniquely stunning town that many world-famous Italian films have been shot here , among all the famous Italian film director Roberto Rosellini shot four of his early films in this elegant seaside hamlet.
The attic is situated on the top floor of the building (with elevator) and enjoys a comfortable access from the alley taking to the seaside promenade.
The interior has been recently restored with modern furniture in the white and blue colors and brilliant majolica tiles. All modern comforts such as wi-fi internet access, air conditioning and satellite Tv complete this welcoming accommodation.
Staying at Casa Marielva, a car is not necessary, local bus stop, taxi station and ferries are situated at less than 5 minutes easy walking.
But if you have a car , it is possible to reserve a parking space in a private parking lot for a daily fee of 15 EUR

ACCOMMODATION:

The accommodation is suitable for 2 people.
From the front door, access is into the living/dining room with adjacent bathroom and a separate kitchen corner .
The living/dining room is an open space with a night area separated by a modern room divider made of blue and green ivy. On one side of the room, a matrimonial bed with bedsides and a window facing north; instead, the other side, equipped with a desk seating 2 people, 2 chaises lounges, a walk-in closet, an air conditioning unit, is illuminated by two large windows facing the sea.
This room gives access into the specious bathroom with blue majolica tiles equipped with an enclosed shower, washbasin, bidet , WC and a window facing north.

The kitchen opens onto a private small terrace ( with no view ) with and external shower in a corner .The kitchen features a small size fridge, 4 burners-cooker, a microwave, an American coffee maker and all the modern appliances

ACCESS
From the main entrance on the street level, access to the attic is up an internal flight of stairs (36 steps long ) although it is also possible to access by elevator to the second floor of the building and then 16 more steps takes to the front door.
DISTANCES
The house is in the town center of Maiori , the beach and the sea side promenade is right across the street. All essentials ( bars, shops, restaurants, banks , post office, bus stop ) are a few steps away.
Bus stop marked SITA to Amalfi( 5 km) , Ravello(9 km), Sorrento ( 35 km) , Salerno ( 16 km) Positano ( 20 km) , etc is at 50 meters. Ferries and hydrofoil ply daily from Amalfi to Capri (1½ h.), Positano (20 min.), Ischia (2½ h) and Salerno (1 h.) The services operate only during the spinning Summer.
