Overview
Tenute del Golfo is an elegant property, located in the countryside of Castellammare del Golfo. The house is structured on two levels and surrounded by a wide cultivated land with olive and fruit trees. The surrounding vegetation is luxuriant and verdant. The guests can also pick and eat the homegrown biologic vegetables. The house was built in harmony with the landscape and the rustic tradition. The use of the wood, majolica and terracotta make the rooms cozy and warm. You may access the house from a spacious living room characterized by a fireplace and sofas. Here it is possible to admire an old collection of tools used by farmers in the past times. In a corner of the living room it is located the kitchen, provided with all the necessary and with a wood stove that can be used to cook delicious dishes of Sicilian food. On the ground floor there is also a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. You can reach the first floor through an internal staircase located in the living room. The first floor sleeping area is made up of three bedrooms: two double bedrooms and one with French bed . The master ensuite bedroom with double bed has a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside. From this room it is possible to reach a wooden loft where you can find two single beds. The other bedrooms overlook the swimming pool area. The furniture is sober and elegant. Some antique furniture, owned by the family, embellish the rooms. On the first floor there is a further bathroom with shower. The property is surrounded by sheltered verandas equipped with external furniture where you can relax or enjoy a good meal. The swimming pool is located just in front of the house. The solarium area is equipped with sun beds and garden furniture. Just near the swimming pool there is a covered gazebo and the BBQ area.

Tenute del golfo is just 4 km from the city centre of Castellammare del Golfo where you can find all the main services like : restaurants, post office, bank, coffee bars ect… The sandy beach “La Playa” is 6.5 km away. The old village of Scopello and the Natural Reserve “Lo Zingaro” are 14 km away from the house.

As a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) we absolutely loved this villa. The location is perfect and property itself is extremely charming and cosy. There's not one negative I could find. Super clean, efficient and the owners have literally thought of everything. As a keen cook the kitchen was a dream with fresh herbs, oils and supplies all surrounded by traditional crockery and facilities. It's not often the case where I actually want to cook on holiday! We'd eat on the terrace where you got the loveliest sea breeze or by the pool in one of the verandas. Even though we did go to the local supermarkets and veg stalls there's also so much fruit growing around the property and we loved going out and picking our own.
The bedrooms were cosy with lots of storage space and comfy beds with fresh cotton linen and the view from our room was over the pool where if you wake up early enough you can watch the sunrise. This villa would easily accommodate 10 people too.
Last but not least - the pool is amazing. Deep enough to dive and shallow enough to laze. Lots of super comfy loungers, close to the house so you can easily pop back for drinks and we spent nearly all our time here.
We did hire a car and I would say that if you do want to go out and explore you 100% need one.

Our family loved our stay at this beautiful house! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable and the entire house was very clean. Our children loved picking susine and apples on the farm. Sebastiano was nice enough to provide us with tomatoes and cucutsa also from the land. The pool and terrazza were lovely. The pictures truly don’t do this house justice. It is much better in person. Magical really. We will definitely return on our next trip to the gorgeous town of Castellammare.
