Villa Ermelinda, located in a 20.000 square meter garden, gives its back to a pine forest and it overlooks the Borromean Gulf with a breathtaking view over Lake Maggiore (Italy).
Overview
Villa Ermelinda is, for everybody, a mansion built during the 40's by a rich Milanese
family on the high ground of Baveno, but for our guest is much more, it is a slice of
heaven. The Villa is located deep in a park of 20.000 square meters, partially made of
a wide pine forest that creates a unique feel, full of peace and tranquility, interrupted
just by the a few birds singing. Giving your back to the pine forest, facing the many big
windows inside the house or sipping a drink by the pool side you can enjoy all the
charm of the Lake Maggiore, in particular of the Borromean Gulf, which with his three
islands is surely the most graceful area. The Villa, laid out over three floors, has been
the subject of an ambitious project of conservative renovation finished during the
summer of 2014. A particular care has been given to preserve the settings and the
original structure to keep the historical value, but at the same time, the residence has
been enriched with refined details and exquisite furniture that increased the comfort
and the charm. The style is elegant, sober and refined, embellished with soft colors
that, together with the wide big windows, make the spaces very bright and spread a
sense of freedom.
The passion and the elegance that characterize us and that we expressed in the
concept of Villa Ermelinda are now available for our guests that have at their service a
unique location, with attention to the smallest detail, to spend a pleasing holiday at
the Lake Maggiore or to make every kind of event or ceremony a very special moment.
The Villa is very easy to find: located less than 60 Km from the International Airport of
Milano Malpensa, it is easily reachable by highway or by train from the Milano Centrale
station in about one hour. It is also located less than 5 Km from Stresa and a few Km
from Switzerland, in particular from the elegant town of Ascona.

Villa Ermelinda welcomed us from the moment we arrived. The quality of the estate is only exceeded by the quality of the owner- it truly is Villa Ermelinda. We will take away wonderful memories of our relaxing + great full stay here and full blessed. Honoured to have been the guests of such a gracious host . Linda, you and your Villa have both been absolutely wonderful! Rosy and I have been all over the western world but have never seen the likes of Villa Ermelinda before and don’t expect to until we come back , hopefully soon. The Villa is very unique but what makes it so special is you :your personal touch is everywhere. I have never seen such a well designed. Kitchen and your attention to every details is unsurpassed. We felt totally at home here. Gabriella and Marinella are such great cook and home keepers ,they have made our living easy. We thank you dearly.
