We stayed for a very enjoyable week at this property with 4 adults and 2 children during the Easter holidays. Only a 20 minute drive from Shannon airport was ideal for us and the property met all of our needs, with a very welcoming owner to greet us.

We were allowed to use rowing boats and kayaks on the beautiful lake which can be seen from the lounge and only a minute walk away. No charges were asked for this and life jackets were accessible. The children also enjoyed the trampoline and small play area and large grassy area beside.
Overall - this was a super property, plenty of space for us all and super comfy beds!
A great location too to access the Burren, caves, dolphin watching and beautiful scenery.
Would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay. Owners very friendly and helpful. When we arrived there was a welcome package of milk, fruit and scones, We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing time as a family, watching the beautiful sunsets over the "pond" and making friends with the resident dogs. Not many signposted walks around the lodge, although County Clare is a very scenic area for drives etc. Cliffs of Moher and Connemara are 2-3 hours drive away. Did not try the local restaurants or bars as we were quite content to stay at Mount Cashel. Only small defect was a wonky dishwasher tray but that was a very minor detail; and for those people staying for a week or longer suggest you bring your own shampoo and toiletries as those that are provided are only, I think, meant for the first night use. Overall, a very enjoyable week and would recommend. Note: There were only four of us at the Stables which meant everyone had plenty of personal space.

Such a great place to base yourself for the west side of Ireland, Pat the owner is amazing. We came to Ireland to film for a project and Pat helped us get and find all sorts of crazy things. He is lovely and so so helpful. I highly recommend staying here for fun, leisure or work.

"Peace and quiet in a picturesque converted carriage house located in landscaped grounds at Mount Cashel - about a mile from the village of Six Mile Bridge. We went for walks by the lake, sat by the fire in the evening and recovered our serentity in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Toured the Burren, shopped in Shannon and Limerick, local pubs some evenings - but mainly relaxed in a lazy, no pressure environment."

"Brilliant. An absolutely beautiful place with great people. I particularly enjoyed splashing around in a canoe on the lake with my mate Mac the dog in toe. Had a great time, hope to go back some time. :0)"
