Public review Show reply We had a wonderful stay at Villa Ellen with our families, 4 adults and 4 kids aged 1-4. The villa is layed out really well for families, very spacious! Netflix on the main TV was a wonderful drawcard for both the kids and adults. Location of the villa is great. We hired bikes which made getting around really easy, everything is accessible from here. We hired a chef to cook dinners for us each night and the fully equip kitchen and dining area was perfect for this. The pool is great with afternoon shade which was a great way to cool down pre dinner. Gavin, Putu and Novi looked after us really well. Communication was fantastic from beginning to end and Novi kept the villa very clean and was keen to help with any requests we had. A beautiful modern villa in a fantastic location, would highly reccommend amd love to come back someday.

Public review Show reply Highly recommend! Villa Ellen is a beautifully furnished and well maintained property - everything from the location to the amenities was TOP notch. Check in was a Breeze as they provided free airport transfer so no issue with finding the place. Location wise it’s 5 mins walk to the beach and there’s a Kmart outside (although they didn’t have all the staples so may need to head up to the Main Street). It’s a quiet street but doesn’t feel unsafe at all as I walked back alone a few times. Yet close enough to walk to the eat street and seminyak square. The place itself was maintained very well by Novi the housekeeper...she single handedly cleaned the place up daily and made us breakfast (at additional cost). The kitchen and living space is separated from the bedroom so you can catch a quiet nap without getting disturbed. Road noise is also very minimal as it’s on a quiet street. The outdoor bathrooms were a great touch and the paintings and art in each corner were wonderful. The pool was Super clean and good for kids..if you need to do laps though, you’ll need to head to the beach or one or the beach clubs nearby. For massages, tours and daily car rentals, do check out a few quotes from the main eat street as I found them to be more competitive. Overall a great place and a rare find...would highly recommend this place to families or Friend groups.

Public review Show reply Gavin was such a help he went above and beyond for myself and son. I was booking the villa for my son,niece,and there friends who were travelling to bali for the first time..of course as a worried mother i was assured everytime i spoke to Gavin, knowing my concerns he arranged a car from the airport and a surprise bday cake for my son ( all at no xtra cost) this made the planning of the trip so much easier for me as i was not familiar with how things ran in Bali. The villa i was told by everyone was a hit all the rooms wer outstanding and big enough for everyone. Alot of time was spent in the pool and lounging around the villa all day. Staff always kept the villa in tip top condition and left the young ones to there own privacy. Having a supermarket right next door was a hit for everyone, any supplies needed was just a few steps away. I could not reccomend Gavin and Villa Ellen enough for not only a wonderful accomodation but for going above and beyond and ensuring that the young ones had the most memorable time in Bali😊😊

Public review Show reply Gavin and Putu's Villa Ellen is one of the best. Their housekeepers' are nice, accommodating and easy to talk to. We were able to check in early - so that was really cool! And just like what I have already told Gavin in my personal message, I love that the place is clean, orderly and stylish. Oh! I'm a fan of wall arts - paintings and such - and I just loved the villa's wall art. I love open bathrooms too - feels like I'm one with nature - so thumbs up!! :) Since I brought my 1 yr old son with me on this trip, he provided me a high chair and a baby cot for free, which was really nice. :) We slept comfortably. The villa is cozy and just the right amount of space. Our breakfasts (provided by Gavin) was enjoyable too and filling enough. Oh and to add to that -- Wayan, their driver is nice too! We were not able to book him for our day to day tour (he did our round trip airport transfer) - but will definitely try his service when go back to Bali. Villa Ellen is one of the best place to stay - very fit for family or group trip. :)

Public review Show reply This accommodation is a piece of art, designed with great taste and built with highest quality. The villa is accompanied with perfect services and located just 4-5 minutes by foot from the ocean. There are very nice local restaurants nearby as well as cosy modern cafés. Great local yoga classes are 30 meters away from the villa, SPA around 100 meters. Gavin was a perfect host for us, very open and always reactive. He has thought about everything one might need to spend a perfect vacation on Bali. In addition, he is just a very nice guy. This is definitely a place I would love to come back to.

Public review Show reply The villa is simply amazing. We were 8 of us who stayed in 4 separate rooms. Let me try to summarize our experience without writing long paragraphs. Huge Living Room. Cosy Swimming Pool. Great baths. Amazing beds. Aromatic towels. Modern looks. Next to K central (24x7 mart). Refrigerator. Microwave. Water cooler. Dinning area. Smart TV (You can cast from your android phones). Amazing music system. Get bikes at the villa. Short walk to ku de ta / beach / market.... Great memories! Wayan took us for a day trip to Ubud. Amazing guy, always a smile on his face very helpful and humble guy. Thanks Wayan! A big big shout out to Gavin who had been so helpful even before we had come to Bali. I had so many questions on Gili Trawangan, recent earthquakes, tour guides, transport from ports etc etc. And Gavin always replied to me swiftly and was always humble. We only wish we could have met him in person when were there. Thanks Gavin! Please also convey our gratitude to the care taker(niva - sorry if i got the name wrong) who cleaned everything up with a smile everyday and also arranged for bikes! :) All in all, a great stay! We wish we had stayed longer! Highly recommended :)

Public review Show reply This villa was just perfect for us. Ideal for families with small kids. Very secure and private despite the excellent location. Great layout of villa. Bedrooms and living/kitchen/dining can all be completely closed off to keep to mosquitoes at bay. Wonderful, happy and helpful housekeeper who takes extra care with mosquito control in the bathrooms. Immaculately clean. Very kid friendly with no dangerous staircase and bathrooms off bedrooms can be locked (for child safety). Basically brand new with very modern kitchen and Balinese style bathroom. We really liked the shade over the pool in the afternoon - we got a break from reapplying sunscreen and making the kids wear their hats in the pool. Living area slightly removed from bedroom area which allows for adult fun after kids in bed. Two huge TVs, one of them a smart TV with Netflix (use your own login)! Lots of special extras for example: heaps of pillows, very comfortable mattresses, beautiful bed linen, plenty of towels, fresh flowers in vase in kitchen, phone provided for local calls, kids movies on hard drive and DVD player for non Netflix TV. We have stayed in 4 other villas in Seminyak and this one is the best in our opinion. Very good value for money - can’t believe it’s not fully booked already months in advance. We would definitely go back to Villa Ellen

Novi the housekeeper was friendly, helpful with any requests we needed and kept the place amazingly clean. Location was perfect and close to restaurants, shops and the beach. Highly recommend this villa for couples or family groups

Jonah January 2018 We loved staying in Villa Ellen. The villa was very clean and new. The staff (maid and driver) were very helpful. The style and space of the villa is perfect for groups. Would definitely stay here again!

Oby December 2017 Our stay at Villa Ellen was a delight! We were in Bali for the first time for my birthday and were a group of 5 - practically each person had their own room. No one felt disappointed in having the last pick of rooms because they were all really nice! The villa is well thought out and tastefully furnished. There are many areas to lounge in which was important for us because we were mindful of feeling cramped when picking a villa to stay in. The villa looks even better than it does in the pictures. The standout feature is the location: it is amazing! We were minutes from every main attraction in Seminyak if not seconds from the nearest convenience/laundry/restaurant. My one area to nitpick was the cleaning staff not changing the towels as frequently as we would have liked but we spoke to Gavin about it and he was a very hands-on owner. Aside from that we were thoroughly satisfied. Our welcome breakfast of nasi goreng and mei goreng with the fruit platter was top notch. It really felt like a good base to launch all our holiday fun. It was also great to stay in during the rainy days. Pro-tip for visitng Bali: hire a moped to get around - theyre amazing! Also shop around for good day-trip tour guide prices. Don't be afraid to haggle :)
