A beautiful traditional Cretan villa, set just above the historic old town of Malia in eastern Crete, has a unique opportunity to rent the ground floor apartment.
Villa Lemonia is traditional Cretan style, with shuttered windows, whitewashed walls and terracotta tiled roof. In its own large private garden with a secure driveway for parking, covered patio area for dining, large private pool with space for sunbathing, BBQ and outside dining area as well as a small fruit orchard.
Positioned conveniently just 10 minutes’ walk from the historic and picturesque village of Old Malia, Villa Lemonia sits in a small, quiet residential area with views out over Malia and the backdrop of the mountains and olive groves. And this is a unique place to enjoy a truly private Cretan get-away, to enjoy the sun, the pool or to use as a base to explore the surrounding beaches and countryside.
The Ground floor apartment enjoys an open plan living, dining room and kitchen area with a corner suite, TV, dining table and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, oven and hob. There are two bedrooms via a small hallway sleeping 4 people in a queen double and two singles. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with plenty of storage cabinets and drawers and dressing tables. The front double bedroom enjoys a lovely aspect out over the garden and pool area with shuttered doors that open out onto the patio. The modern family bathroom was recently refurbished.
It’s the outside space at Villa Lemonia which offers the unique advantage to enjoy a truly private holiday experience. A beautiful private 10 metre pool is at your disposal to enjoy during your stay, with the use of sunbeds and umbrellas. There are plenty of seating areas, either in the shade on the patio or at the end of the pool which enjoys sun all day right up until sunset. There’s also a private BBQ and outside cooking area facing the fruit orchard, which is picturesque in the evenings for those evenings with family or friends.
It's a quiet residential area so not a place for loud music or parties which is why we only rent to over 25's. This listing is for the ground floor villa apartment.

Excellent facilities, very clean and modern villa set in large (and beautiful) gardens. Indoors is fully airconditioned throughout with insect screens on all windows. The pool is generously sized and perfectly maintained at a nice temperature. The 2 outdoor seating areas are both comfortable and charmingly placed to either keep an eye on the pool or relax in the garden area by the pizza oven and BBQ. The surroundings are very peaceful, we barely noticed having neighbours and any noisy nightlife in Malia doesn't reach the villa. Plenty of local shops and Tavernas of Old Malia are 10 minutes walk away, all are excellent. Can't really ask for more, just don't forget your mosquito repellant and I can promise you will have a perfectly relaxing time here.

Fantastic private place in the hills of Malia close to the romantic old town. Within 10 minutes, you reach the old town where there are several idyllic authentic restaurants. You can also rent a scooter to drive around (Mochos and Sissi are lovely!), but it's not necessary if you don't want to. The house is very clean, modern and spacious and the whole pool and garden is yours. There is no noise at all, so if you're looking for a quiet place, this is it.
