Yet, sprinkled amongst the lush hillsides and olive groves are designer villas with exquisite gardens and estates, many owned by rich ship magnets, politicians, artists and scientists, definitely those that learned the charms of this magnificent area early.

The property is situated on a beautiful plot in Agios Emilianos, a 15-minute drive from the town. You can take a 3-hour ferry from Athens to the port at Porto Heli or take the picturesque drive along the fabulous coastline and through the mountains. In addition, you can visit the delightful Hydra, Poros and Spetses Islands by boat or water taxi.

The villa is utterly charming, both inside and out. The garden is fabulous with mature, fragrant planting, lawns, alluring little quiet spots with charismatic seating arrangements and a play area for children with mini slides, swings and tables and chairs. The pool terrace is lovely with spectacular views out to sea and the islands.

Loungers and parasols surround the lovely pool and an appealing covered alfresco dining area. The covered outdoor mini kitchen and barbecue are beautiful. There are plant pots everywhere, all brimming with colourful flowers and plants. This garden will undoubtedly make you smile!

On the upper floor of this warm and inviting villa, there is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a bathroom, and two bedrooms.

The living area boasts an alluring beamed ceiling and a huge corner sofa. The views of the pool and terrace from the dining area are lovely.

The kitchen is modern and open to the dining area through a substantial serving hatch. The villa is designed so that the inside and outside all seem as one. The views from every window are stunning.

The lower floor of the villa is home to the remaining two elegant and comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom and a beautiful games room with a pool table, chess, lounge furniture and a bar. Just outside on the terrace is a table tennis table. The bedrooms are spacious and are comprised of 2 doubles, one twin and another bedroom with both a double bed and a single bed. In total, the villa sleeps up to 9 guests, each of which will undoubtedly have a wonderful time!

The villa is located in the upmarket village of Agios Emilianos, very close to Porto Heli. There is no other area in Greece with such a concentration of wealth. So it is easy to understand why in-the-know discerning globetrotters head to Porto Heli. It feels like a very laid-back version of the Amalfi Coast.

The area is stunning, rich in interesting archaeological sites such as Halieis and enjoyable nightlife. Porto Heli's coastline of inlets is calm and warm. You will see luxury yachts everywhere, together with the traditional wooden kaikis.

Although incredibly rich, Porto Heli maintains a rustic, homely feeling, such a wonderful blend to ensure a memorable holiday, especially when considering this a foodie paradise.

The tourist-friendly island of Spetses is a 15-minute ride away from Costa harbour. Spetses' tiny port of Dapia is overlooked by whitewashed, Neoclassical houses, cosy cafes and stylish boutiques.

The winding, cobbled coastal path opens to a stunning, wide, timeless piazza and is home to the glorious, chateau-style Poseidonion hotel. Cars are banned from the town, so visitors travel in horse-drawn carriages, admiring the fishers laying out their catches, the impressive villas, domed churches and buzzy tavernas.

There are three stunning beaches close to the villa, Costa Beach, Hrisi Akti Beach and Porto Heli Beach. In addition, there are several pretty villages and towns to visit, including Kranidi, Kilada, a small fishing village, the picturesque Ermioni and Epidaurus.

Ermioni is built on a cape, surrounded by fragrant pine trees, so it strongly resembles an island. It boasts stunning beaches, a charismatic harbour lined with popular fish restaurants and some clubs. The beaches include little coves around Bisti, Kouverta Beach, Petrothalassa, Dardiza and Sentoni.

Epidaurus is one of Greece's most popular archaeological sites, primarily famous for its Ancient Theatre, which is in an excellent state of conservation. During the summer there are festivals at the weekends.
