Leading on from the kitchen is the dining area. With room for everyone, it has sea views and large doors that take you straight out to the terrace – it’s just the spot for a lazy lunch, overlooking the pool and sea beyond.

The ground floor is mainly open, so the dining room flows through to the sitting room. Here are comfortable sofas, a television, DVD player, sound system and incredible sea views. There are also double doors to the terrace outside.

The central sleeping accommodation is up on the first floor – with the master bedroom, en-suite bathroom and private balcony, and two bedrooms. There’s another bathroom here, with a shower, again designed to a high standard with a sleek finish.

The basement is a spacious home cinema room with roomy sofas, television, DVD, sound system and projector. There are twin beds here, and also another bathroom.

The cottage, completely separate from the main villa, shares the villa’s outside terraces. It’s a great little spot if you want to holiday with another family or relatives who might wish to privacy away from the main house.

There are two double bedrooms, a super sitting room with stunning sea views, and a bathroom. It’s small but perfectly formed, with each room having plenty of space.

The swimming pool’s curved shape echoes the coastline below it – bob about in the pool, looking out across the sea; just the spot to feel like you’re away from home.

There’s a barbecue here, and a terrace with a table and chairs, with enough room to seat everyone. So you can do your own thing during the day and meet up in the evening for a relaxing supper with stunning sea views.

Nissaki is nearby and means “little island”, once a tiny rocky island which joined the mainland. It is the perfect spot for those who want a relaxing stay in a tranquil environment but still have all the shops and restaurants you need. In addition, there are some superb restaurants by the sea.

The horseshoe-shaped main beach is made of white pebbles shelving into the clear blue water. You are sure to find a spot here even at the busiest of times!
