Overview
Villa Aglaia is a very well equipped luxury villa with a standalone Guest House / Annex house. Situated in 1 Acre of private secluded gardens on the edge of the village of Mavrata near Katelios. Set in beautiful rural countryside it offers stunning views across the Ionian sea to Zakynthos and mainland Greece.
All beds are high spec luxury throughout, giving you a most comfortable night’s sleep. All rooms have A/C with all windows and doors containing insect screens for your maximum comfort and enjoyment.
The main Villa and Guest house consists of 4 large Ensuite bedrooms, 3 of which have double beds and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, which can be joined to form a fourth double bed. All have fully fitted wardrobes, drawers and dressing tables, each containing a hair dryer. The main bedroom Ensuite includes a bath / shower and the other 3 Ensuite include large walk in shower cubicles.
The main Villa has a large living room / dining area with a further fifth WC, comprehensive global TV system with most TV stations around the world available. The very latest Video on demand options such as latest movies and box sets. Hi fi system and Wi Fi / Internet. 4 sets of Patio doors lead out to the pool area in front of the main house. Again insect screens will keep the house free of any insects.
The fully fitted and equipped luxury modern kitchen has all usual appliances, utensils, crockery etc. A large dining room table with chairs is available for indoor dining.
The self-contained Guest house sits 5m from the villa and consists of a Double bedroom with Ensuite. It also has its own fitted equipped kitchen with a dinning / living room.
The outside area has a large non-chlorine natural system infinity pool with a built in jacuzzi offering stunning mountain & sea views. A large flat, even tiled patio pool surround containing plenty of comfortable sunbeds makes a peaceful, tranquil and relaxing area to sun bath, watch local wildlife and ships out on the Ionian sea. At night time there is a wonderful display of stars, planets and milky way. There are plenty of furnished, shaded areas to sit and relax out of the sun and to enjoy a morning coffee and breakfast while taking in the stunning views. At night time its ideal for that card game and chat with drinks, maybe with some music. The Hi fi has a blue tooth function to sync to your device so you can play your own music.
There is a large covered BBQ / Entertainment area which is fully furnished for outdoor dining or relaxing and contains its own sink area and a shower for the pool.
The 1 acre gardens consist of ample parking for 4 cars, Fruit trees, an olive grove, lawned area across the front of house / pool area. All set within a gated and fenced enclosure set amongst peaceful, quiet olive groves, vineyards and farmland on the edge of Mavrata Village.
Elios Taverna is a wonderful, hospitable family run grill house in the village which is 10 minute walk from the house. Torches are available for the stagger back!
The beautiful fishing village of Katelios is just a short 4 minute drive down the hill. Here there are some 20 plus Tavernas and Bars sitting right at the edge of the sea. There are mini markets, a bakery and shops as well as the local hotels.
5 minutes away is the lovely 'Sesto Koroni Hill bar above Koroni beach. Essentially a rural sunset bar with stunning views of the sunset set to ambient music.
The busier resorts of Skala and Lourdas are just under 15 minutes by car or Taxi which both offer many options of Tavernas and bars to suit everyone.

The Villa is in a really lovely location with superb views all around. There are no near neighbours and so it is beautifully tranquil. From the pool area you look out over a seascape that cannot have changed for centuries - several miles of shimmering sea with the cliffs of Zakynthos appearing through the haze in the background. The only noise not self-generated is the 'kee kee' of buzzards riding the thermals as they quarter their hunting territory or the twitter of a group of 20 Swallows that several times a day perform aerobatics as they drink from the Villa's pool. The villa was well-equipped and very comfortable with a wi-fi that enabled us to work on our laptops and download films. Superb location from which to explore the island and to spend some lazy days re-charging the batteries. The Villa's friendly owners always responded to any queries we had within minutes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best villa from the island! And I don't exagerate. Rooms were clean, the view is breathtaking and all of the furniture and electricals are new. Also, Alan is the best host! Always respond within 5-30 minutes. What a fantastic place to stay! Home away from home with regards to how well equipped the villa is. The view is mesmerising and we couldn’t bare to tear ourselves away. Loved the proximity to Katelios for the tavernas and a little bit of life but the peacefulness of the villa itself is second to none. Can’t recommend highly enough!

It’s beautiful here has everything you could desire including outstanding shower pressure! Such peace and tranquillity too you cannot fail to relax and rejuvenate here Spacious rooms, Thoughtful amenities.
It's the perfect location for a group of 6-8 persons . The villa it's very practical and you will don't need a thing. You have absolutely everything there. From a dishwasher to a jacuzzi and bathroom in every room. The host it's a very nice person who helped us with a lot of insight of the island and some cold white wine in the fridge when we arrived 😁
Absolutely the best place you can stay in Kefalonia!
Great position with fantastic view. Beautifully appointed house with 3 bedrooms and a separate guest house. Very comfortable and easy to live outside most of the time, with an infinity pool. Short drive to Kateleios with range of restaurants on the beach. And one good grill house, Elias, 10-12 minutes walk. We had a great time with our two daughters and their husband/partners - plenty of space for three couples without any feeling cramped. Cannot praise more highly.
