The area of Maroulas village where villa Kivotos is situated is unique for his natural beauty. The endemic flora and the abondance of aromatic herbs is making the surroundings attractive.
This villa ( built in 2011) has been created as “home away from home”.
Villa Kivotos is just 7 km from the Venetian town of Rethymnon, therefore providing the perfect blend of country and city. 120 sq.m. allows for villa Kivotos to be well laid out offering kitchen/dinner open plan lounge with balcony doors five feet long and with a romantic veranda overlooking the Aegean sea, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
An air of tranquility has been created by the use of natural materials in the building and decoration of this villa. The swimming pool and flower garden are set in an unspoilt natural environment providing a setting of complete relaxation. Kivotos Villa is unique in that it offers a fully alarmed swimming pool to ensure the safety of our younger guests. The owners are living nearby and they are taking care of all your needs so your holiday are guaranteed to be unforgettable.
And ...the villa has also an organic vegetable and aromatic herbs garden for our guests .
Notes on accommodation
At no extra cost the villa comes with full air-conditioning and Wi-Fi connection and all baby equipment
(2 baby-cot, 2 high chair ) hopefully providing the most comfortable & enjoyable holiday in an unforgettable environment. A complementary basket will be waiting for you upon arrival.
Villa Kivotos provides all linen and towels, even for the pool. The property is cleaned once per week
(for a stay of one week and twice per week for a stay of two weeks and more) with a complete change of linen and towels. Additional cleaning and change of linen can be arranged at an extra cost.
Accessibility
Villa Kivotos is designed and equipped also for the disabled.
Two bedrooms are in the ground floor, all the doors are opening to an extend of one meter, one bathroom is fully equipped for the wheel chair user & access ramps are used in the garden and to the pool to ensure the safety of our guests.
The access road to the property level is smooth, corridor and doors are wide enough for a wheelchair
(1 meter). A wheelchair user can access to all the main areas of the property & 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor. Main sockets, light switches and alarm cords are easily reach from a seated position. The shower has a 'wheel-in' level access and there is a fold-down shower seat.
Taps and grab rails are reachable from a seated position and there is enough space to safely move from a wheelchair to a toilet seat
Extras for our guests with special needs
Also with extra charge guests with special needs can rent from a company an electric bed or not, a bed hoist, a shower wheel chair and all the extras that one will need to make his holidays more relaxing.
We also cooperate with adapted taxis for local excursions and transfers and we can recommend you
adapted car hire companies.

Our family was mesmerised looking through the triple width patio doors of this beautifully furnished, immaculate villa at the breathtaking, panoramic views over the sea and towards the mountains. Much care has gone into the furnishings and decoration making it a cut above the rest. It met all our needs and was frequently cleaned. We learnt that the owners had spent years finding this idyllic location to build their family home and their wait was well worth it. A hire car is essential to maximise your enjoyment. In the evening we drove (maximum 10 minutes) down through the peaceful olive grove covered hills to eat at the many tavernas. In the morning we drove for fresh bread, served with a smile, at the local bakers. An Aldi supermarket (10 minutes drive) makes keeping the villa stocked with supplies incredibly easy. Our young children enjoyed the “peaceful” days around the large pool to the extent of having to persuade them to visit the delightful white sandy beaches. The friendly but discreet owners were exceedingly helpful, showing us various amenities in the town and offering advice on good tavernas and beaches to visit.

This villa has a FANTASTic View ! But ... we were able to pick up vegetables from the organic garden and ... that was, for us... amaaaazing ! And the owners !! this family ... you must book this villa ...just to meet them.. If you want to experience the Greek family hospitality .... Sakis,Eva & family are there ... waiting for you...with ther 4 chicken Fifi,Fofo,Kiki & Koko (and their eggs !) and Evas goat cheese...and Sakis Raki.... etc etc Helen & Conrad Durban,S.Africa
This villa has a FANTASTIC view ! BUT ... It was the first time that we could use a vegetable garden and we were cooking organic food!!! with the eggs and cheese and wine and RAKI that the owners were providing us !! We also taste goat milk !! Eva, Sakis & their doghter are amazing people... You must book this villa so you will have the opportunity to meet them and experience the real Greek family hospitality ! I am managing know a Farm of organic cultivation in the area. My work is only 2 klm away from Kivotos Villa and from our house . Kivotos Villa has also an organic vegetable garden and our guests can pick up tomatoes,cucumber,pepers etc from this garden and use them. We also have 4 chickens and 1 goat . Our guests will be provided with fresh organic eggs and home made goat cheese. Welcome to a fairytale organic estate.....
