200 year old stone cottage sleeping 10, in the Parc naturel Perigord/ Limousin. We do have 4 cottages on site, , but we are only allowing 2 to be let out at any 1 time to holidaymakers this season .
Overview
La Porcherie is a large cottage sleeping 10. The open-plan ground floor has a large sitting area with settees etc.The dining area has seating for 10.+ we do provide high-chairs . The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. There is a downstairs toilet.
The 1st floor has 4 bedrooms + a bathroom with shower over bath , toilet bidet and washbasin . A separate shower room with toilet and washbasin. There is a mezzanine bedroom with twin beds accessed by ladder on the 2nd floor.
There are tables chairs and parasols outside to the front and rear , as well as barbecues etc.. There is a small separate room nearby with 2 washing machines ,
There are clothes drying lines on one of the lawns, There is a private off-road car park
There is also a large lawn with table tennis table, swings,and plenty of room for football , cricket, rounders etc
We are only letting 2 cottages this year La Porcherie and L’ecurie ( sleeps 4)
The large 12m x 6m swimming pool is fully fenced with child-proof access gate.
There is an adjoining lawn with large parasols and sun beds.

We are now in our 25th season of lettings. Over the years we have welcomed literally hundreds of families from all over the world to our peaceful little nook in the Dordogne. There is plenty to do for all the family from swimming in our large pool on site, outdoor badminton, table tennis and ball games and within a short distance there are three swimming and activity lakes (15-30 mins) away. Canoeing at Brantome, The “Venice” of the Perigord is about 25 mins away. There are caves at Villar (15mins). The area is ideal for cycling and there is a horse riding centre within 10 mins. Our three local villages all have bakers small shops and good restaurants. As we are resident in England and have a restricted time in France and we are both “getting on a bit” we are only letting two of our four cottages, which means less people sharing the pool.
