Villa Rosalys, a stunning Provençal airconditioned villa apartment just 5 minutes walking distance to the centre of the medieval village of Roussillon and views to Mont Ventoux.

Overview

Villa Rosalys is built on the side of the Roussillon mountain, which results in stunning views of the National parc of the Luberon and (on clear days) all the way to the snow capped Mont Ventoux. It is very private and sits on 2800m of garden with various terraces, olive trees, grapes, lavender and pomegranate.

There is a private salt water swimming pool of 11 x 4.5 m with 4 day beds and 4 leisure chairs. The pool is surrounded by a natural stone terrace and a huge 4m x 14m timber deck. The Villa is surrounded by various terraces – with an alfresco marble top dining table as well as leisure chairs – all with stunning views.

A fully airconditioned 2 -bedroom apartment with separate bath and toilet is available for holiday rental at garden level in Villa Rosalys. A fully equipped apartment including a Nespresso coffee machine, Books, CD’s, Board games, WIFI (Fibre high speed), LED TV and DVD/Stereo are there to be enjoyed. A new kitchen includes dishwasher, washing machine and all modern conveniences. All linen, towels and pool towels are provided and are of high quality.

The Villa is a 5 minute walk to the famous ochre village of Roussillon, surrounded by many wineries, walking trails, restaurants and cycling routes.

Day tours are also offered by the owners, including cycling, walking, wine and market shopping. Steve (Australian) and Elly (Dutch) sourced antiques and brocante from this area for many years, so we know the area very well.

We are often booked 12 months in advance, so please book or enquire early.

We hate to say goodbye, how we love our stays here at Villa Rosalys. Thankyou for being the most wonderful hosts. We love you are so thoughtful and had fruit, milk and more importantly Rose and beer waiting for us. Until next time.

It has been 4 years since we last visited, and here we are again. You have been wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We have thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful house, garden and pool. Hope to come back one day.

We were so pleased to find your place via a mutual friend. There is nothing we might miss in this beautiful house. Every thing was spotless, beautiful, the garden, the chickens, the dogs, and thankyou for taking us on a walk!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect week at your home in Roussillon. Meeting you was an absolute pleasure. We did everything you suggested and were rewarded with delightful towns, breath-taking vistas, superb cuisine and on your deck at twilight when the light hit the trees and hills! We hope to cross paths again, soon.

Elly and I are a married couple who met many years ago travelling through Vietnam when Vietnam was not yet opened to the world. We fell in love and Steve moved from Australia to Amsterdam. After several years we moved back to Australia and for a time lived between Melbourne and Roussillon. We love travel, adventures and animals. We also run a small tour company in France, plus we own a small Brocante. Elly speaks several languages, Steve, well working on that, a bit of Dutch and French!
