Downstairs, there is a great sense of space, allowing you to socialize with family and friends while also seeking a little privacy when needed.

The elegant living room has its own stylish bar, and the large kitchen-diner leads out to one of the magnificent terraces.

Follow the pretty stone paths through the lavender to the private tennis court or relax by the 15m long swimming pool, which is surrounded by picturesque flowers and a pool house.

There are some wonderful walks right outside your door, or you can drive a little further to find waterfalls and rivers for swimming, local wineries, charming villages, and a sculpture trail, all set amid breathtaking scenery.

Lagrasse, one of France's "Plus Beaux Villages," is a 15-minute drive away, or travel a little further to explore atmospheric market towns and, of course, Carcassonne.
Narbonne has one of the best covered food markets in France, and the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are only an hour away.

With Cathar castles and the Pyrénées within striking distance, this enchanting part of southern France will undoubtedly appeal to everyone in a variety of ways.
