Spacious villa with private indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, games room and just 300m from the beach 300m. Villa Geelong is situated 6 km from Moelan sur Mer, 15 km south of the market town of Quimperlé and 30 km north-west of Lorient. Shops and restaurants within short driving distance. This is a great location to discover the beautiful coastline with many lovely beaches, picturesque harbours and a host of watersports.
ACCOMMODATION
Living/dining room with satellite TV with foreign channels, DVD and hi-fi, sofas, armchairs and fireplace. Sliding doors lead to indoor pool and terrace.
Fitted kitchen open onto the dining room and pool. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, hobs, kettle, coffee machine, toaster. Stair gate.
Ground floor bedroom with queen size bed. Three first floor bedrooms; a double with a king size bed, a twin (both with access to terrace) and a triple.
Ground floor bathroom with separate wc. Two first floor shower rooms and a separate wc.
Indoor heated swimming pool 6.5m x 3.2m depth 1.65m x 1.8m, heated to 28°c year round.
Large enclosed garden with outdoor furniture, swings, barbecue and parking spaces.

Average allowance of electricity. If over usage this will be payable locally.
Kitchen towels, table cloth, cleaning kit (dishwasher tablets, washing liquid, sponges, kitchen towel, cleaning products, etc).
Cot (including linen), highchair, baby bath and stair gate available on request and if available. Please check at the time of booking.

Security deposit of 400€ (cash) refunded on departure.
End of stay cleaning: The property and grounds should be left clean and tidy or a 170€ charge may apply.

We had a good relaxing time, pity about the weather. On arrival we were greeted by the male and was shown into the house and made very welcome. The house was presentable and comfortable, rental properties do need to be worked on each year, but this is France. We found some excellent restaurants in the surrounding areas and only two in Moelan sur Mer both excellent, in one of them the owner chef used to work in one of the top restaurants in Paris. It was very interesting talking to him. Brittany is always the same, unless you are in towns you always a long way from places.
We had a brilliant holiday thank you and found your service and communication throughout both efficient and friendly. We have no complaints whatsoever in this regard. The key holder was also very friendly and welcoming. Our only observations were that it would have been helpful to have been given the details of the key box from the start as we only had one set of keys and we had to contact Vanessa subsequently for the details. The pool was also a little chilly unfortunately but I suspect this was because the weather dipped a little our week. We weren’t sure if there was a way of increasing the temperature. The DVD player also didn’t seem to work but this wasn’t a problem, I just thought I’d let you know.
Geelong is in a great location for access to “rustic” beaches and the coastline is dog friendly, although dogs are not allowed on the local patrolled beach. A summer rental is expensive. The amenities are good but a little tired such as peeling wallpaper, marked paintwork, laminating kitchen surfaces, ripped pillow case. The description does not indicate that there are only 2 toilets and the one upstairs is shared by 7 (there are 2 showers upstairs though)! Perhaps most disappointing was when we came to leave and stripped the beds. The cleanliness of the undersheets was very poor and looked as if they are not regularly washed. Both Ali and felt that the maintenance quality (plenty of blown light bulbs for example to add to the comments above) did not match the “top end” rental price tag. Towels were good quality, the bed linen should move upmarket as well.
