Detached luxury villa with private swimming pool in a quiet residential area of St-Remy-de-Provence overlooked by Les Alpilles and within easy walking distance of the historic centre and the numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and art galleries. This recently constructed ‘Bastide’ is in traditional Provencal style and materials and is set in its own private garden. St Remy is well known for its links with Van Gogh and is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and villages of Les Alpilles. Local activities include swimming, tennis, walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, and mountain biking. Nearby attractions include the Camargue, the hill village of Les Baux de Provence and the historic towns of Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence. Local wine, olive oil, cheese and vegetables are sold at the typical provencal market held every Wednesday. St Remy is a 20 minute drive from the TGV station at Avignon and less than an hour from Nimes and Marseilles airports

Fully equipped with fridge/freezer, electric hob and separate oven, dishwasher, extractor fan. The kitchen is handmade in Provence style with a large basin in marble stone. It opens out to the gravelled courtyard and to the lawned garden and pool below.

Living Rooms: Living room with 3-seater sofa, 2-seater sofa and low glass table.
All furniture is new in 2008.
All linen and towels etc. are provided. Cleaning after departure is includ in the prices.
The private pool is 14m x 7m with escalier romain, saline filtration and childproof alarm system. The property for private use is 1100 sq.m. made by a jardinier. Automatic watering system gives life to the green lawn and all the trees and plants.
There are loads of wonderful restaurants in the old centre and over a dozen bakeries/patisseries within walking distance. Try a different croissant every day! There is a fantastic cheese shop, fishmongers, several butchers and many more fresh fruit and veg shops. And, of course great local wines available at great local prices. The shops all open early then close at 12.30 opening again at 3.30pm until 7.30pm. This house is ideal for foodies! Stroll in to town to buy up fresh seasonal ingredients before each meal and have long leisurely lunches and dinners. Punctuated by siestas and a dip in your pool. Never need to worry about drinking and driving as everything is on your door step.

this is s new house on an estate ina gated community. It is probably the klargest house on the complex of about 40 houses. The estate is very well set out and unlike what most people would think iof in this context. it is surrounded by woodland and very private. the pool is hughe and only suffers from the sun catching the pool until about 4pm.
the villa is about a 15 minute walk from beautiful St. remy. it has everything you would want and is very tastefully decorated.
Simon, who manages the villa lives on the estate and could not be more helpful or informative.
this was a first class villa and a first class location.
