Peyia and Paphos

The village of Peyia is one of the most picturesque and popular villages in the area. It is spread over a large area with the village centre (1km away/15 minute walk) having many good amenities including bars, restaurants, tavernas, shops and a bank (to name but a few). Only a 5 minute drive away is the famous Coral Bay resort with its Sandy beach for all the family as well as its more extensive selection of nightlife and daytime activities. Only a short drive and you are at the Akamas Peninsula with its stunning unspoilt landscape and beaches as well as a few hidden gems for lunch or drinks in the afternoon.

Paphos and Cyprus

Cyprus has more to offer the visitor than any other Mediterranean island, a fascinating blend of landscape, climate, history and culture. There is a seemingly endless coastline of sandy coves and beaches washed gently by crystal clear blue waters.

Travel a little way from the coast into the pine forests , an hours drive in the Winter for skiing in the Troodos Mountains experience a kaleidoscope of colours in the Spring time meet the local people whose reputation for good food and hospitality is world-wide and you will discover for yourself why this magical island has been attracting people for over 9,000 years.

Birthplace of Aphrodite and in Roman times the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus and is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered from the north by the Troodos Mountains, it has the healthiest climate in the Mediterranean. Paphos Harbour with its ancient castle, marine and water sports centres, is lined with colourful restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites, rich with antiquities, providing an interest away from the usual - in fact UNESCO has included Paphos on its World Cultural Heritage List.

We were a party of four and visited the property in early May. Transfers from & to the airport was well organised by Steven with our friendly driver Andreas. The property was well appointed with all mod cons.
All the management staff were very helpful and we would have no problem recommending it to others.

A car is a definite requirement

Just got back from a fantastic holiday at Villa Naxos, our party comprised of 3 adults and 2 children. The villa was very well equipt and felt very homely with nice touches such as tea coffee and dishwasher tablets!
The villa was not new but everything worked really well and there was such a feeling of space both inside and out with very effective air conditioning.
It was a very tranquil setting with amazing views and great weather - our children hardly left the pool.
The villa was really clean when we arrived which was great and a mid stay clean was great ( a real pride was taken by the cleaners). The pool was well looked after by the pool man who came every other day to check on the chlorine levels which initially were a bit high.
Would highly recommend this villa - and would expect this level as the bench mark for future holidays! Thank you

Villa Naxos is located in a very private part of the village of Peyia. The views from the villa are spectacular night and day. The villa itself is clean, spacious and has all the mod cons any holiday maker could hope for. It was pretty much a home from home. We arrived to find a welcome pack containing all the essentials such as tea, milk, bread, wine, etc, which was great and meant we didnt have to immediately rush out to find local shops after our journey. The pool at the villa was a good size and was cleaned and maintained quite regularly. The village itself is very quaint and charming and offers a refreshing alternative to the more commercial parts of Cyprus. The main thing we would stress to any future visitors would be to immediately hire a car via Homestagers unless you wish to remain exclusively within the Peyia village (bear in mind there is no regular bus service to Paphos, Polis, etc). Beware taxis and car hire services who will readily charge you above the going rate! Cleaning at the villa was not intrusive and allowed us to relax while it took place but bed linen could have been cleaned more thoroughly and supplementary toilet rolls could have been provided - but these are only minor quibbles. On the whole, we had an enjoyable and memorable stay at Villa Naxos and would recommend it to others who wish to see the real Cyprus.

Review submitted by Steve from Wrexham (Submitted:12/11/2023) ''The villa was excellent and the location was fantastic with the views from the terrace absolutely stunning. It is one of the best villas I have been fortunate to holiday in. The welcome pack provided was a nice touch and welcome after arriving late on the Sunday evening. I would highly recommend Peggy's secret garden cafe in the village . The food and service was excellent and good value for money. I would highly recommend your company for booking a villa and the service and information and correspondence from you was second to none. I would imagine that hopefully in the next few years I will be booking another villa holiday and more than likely return to Cyprus and most definitely will be using your services Thank you very much for an excellent holiday and all your help, Regards, Steve ''

Location is perfect for us - so quiet & relaxing but need a car for days out We enjoyed: The Grande in Peyia village Oniro by the sea - food & cocktails Trip to Latchi - Y & P restaurant & the Ice cream parlour Poppadums Indian restaurant back towards Paphos - 10-15 min drive Your service was fabulous as always. We had all the information plus extra discount offers that we needed for our holiday. Steven you did a fabulous job of keeping me up to date with info about our holiday at the villa. The lighting outside is fabulous & also providing the tea/coffee/sugar & the flavoured tea boxes were a lovely treat! & the arrival package was better with milk & ham & bread & butter etc & also washing up liquid / cloths / sponges etc ''

Review submitted by Anne Marie from Orpington (Submitted:31/10/2018) ''Very comfortable and well-equipped villa with stunning views, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Good location, very peaceful but still close to local amenities and walkable to the village restaurants (20 minutes or so) We enjoyed restaurants in Peyeia village (Old Cinema and Cousins) and also restaurants in Kathikas. Otherwise we enjoyed the wonderful views from the villa terrace as well as relaxing on the local beaches. The service from you was very good and efficient. Communication was good and Robin was very helpful and dealt with a couple of very minor issues promptly. We had a lovely stay at Villa Naxos – it was a return visit and we enjoyed our holiday as much as we did last year. .''

Review submitted by Anne from London (Submitted:15/08/2017) ''Thank you for your mail. We had a lovely holiday at Villa Naxos and were very impressed with the villa as well as the way that everything was managed by yourselves. We very much hope to make a return visit! The villa was lovely and was exactly as described on the website, if anything it surpassed expectations. We loved the views and the outside terrace area and pool. The villa was very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for a holiday. The location was good. As noted above, the views are stunning both at day time and night time. We also appreciated being able to walk into Peyia village when going out to eat in the evening but would recommend the use of torches for some of the unlit parts of the road. We have stayed in the area previously so spent most of our time relaxing by the pool and the coral bay beaches. On previous holidays, we have enjoyed trips to Lara beach and trips into Paphos. Easting out is very good with lots of choice. In Peyia village we enjoyed the Old Cinema tavern and Cousins. We would highly recommend going to Kathikas for traditional meals – we particularly liked Yiannis and Imogens. The service was excellent with helpful advice provided. Again the local manager was excellent and communication was very good. Robin also provided helpful local advice and very quickly replaced a couple of light bulbs when requested. We also had a very thorough mid-stay clean which was appreciated and the cleaning ladies were very friendly. We have stayed at many different villas but this is one of the best ever and the communications provided were much better than we have had when staying elsewhere. Overall the villa and the level of service were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and very much hope to be able to make a return visit to Villa Naxos. ''

Darren W Jul 2017

Review submitted by Darren from Stafford (Submitted:15/08/2017) ''The villa was very comfortable and spacious, we particularly liked the out side space. Location was great, it was our second stay in Peyia and we made more this time of local restaurants and bars we we missed last time. We liked restaurants such as The Grande and Peyia Tavern, as Oniro by the Sea and The last Castle (Viklari), We drove across to Famagusta and Omadus which were very interesting days out and also Nocosia is not to be missed. Also we hired a speed boat from Latchi Water Sports Centre, the service and experience were excellent, we hired a boat from one of the other companies in 2012 which did not compare to this years trip. Service on both our visits with Sunrise Dreams was excellent. We met Robin several times during our stay and he was very pleasant and helpful with local knowlwdge. ''

Valerie Apr 2016

Review submitted by Valerie from France (Submitted:16/04/2016) ''The villa was beautiful and really like in the description and photos: great kitchen, very large, such a very large living room and sofas sufficient and comfortable. The rooms with their own bathroom! Really this place was a paradise. The best was the huge terrace with swimming pool and spectacular views of the sea. All parts of the equipment was excellent, nothing is missing, that's amazing! The decor was beautiful and modern which is also very important to us! The service was really impeccable. When we arrived, it was a very nice surprise to have something to eat before we go shopping: eggs, bread, butter, milk, jam, coffee and tea ... The house was very clean and smelled so good! The sheets and towels were spotless and of very good quality. It was a pleasure to sit outside in the villa! We also enjoyed the passage of the responsible person villa. He has shown us and explained that we did not understand and also give good restaurant addresses and supermarkets. Really rent was impeccable! At Peyia, there is everything you need for shopping: very famous bakery in Cyprus, a small supermarket with decent prices. It is also down the mountain a few kilometers, turn right and find a large supermarket. There was hugely visits to around Paphos: the tombs of kings, the archaeological site but we highly recommend this tour 4x4 Peninsula Akamas but be careful to choose the company! We highly recommend "ecotour cyprus". Do not hesitate for one moment to be guided by Andreas. We chose a private day and really we not regret, it's wonderful! We tasted the traditional Mezze to "Phidias Tavern" in Coral Bay and is really a great place, the food is excellent and the staff very pleasant and concerned about your well-being. We also loved the "mare mare" along the sea in Paphos. You eat well and especially on a terrace facing the sea height! We do not even see the road! It also took chairs on the beaches of Paphos, not expensive at all for a whole day 2euros 50 ! When we think about what we are asked in the south of France! We have been particularly pleased with the relationship with the rental site. Steven was charming and always available to answer our questions. The documents sent were perfect and everything was very well explained about the villa, the localisation. Is also very knowledgeable us on the rental car or taxi. Really, we can go confidently with him! The site is very easy to use. The local manager was very nice and very well explained there was to know about the functioning of the villa. He also took the time to recommend restaurants or tell us where the supermarkets were. He came to take care of the pool in the week quite discreet. Finally, he warned us by leaving us a word of some water cuts which we did not even finally realized!.''

Cheryl M Aug 2015

Review submitted by Cheryl from Derby (Submitted:12/09/2015) ''Amazing villa! Very clean and comfortable with all we needed for our stay. Superb location with a fabulous view. 15 minute walk to shops/restaurants which we did but not brilliant in the heat. Definitely need a car from the outset. We noticed one came with the villa next door but we managed to hire one through Robin. We recommed: Peyia Tavern in the village for Mezze. Costa's just out of the village for Stifado. Kathikas is a beautiful village with excellent home cooked food at Imogen's. Sea You bar on the Paphos road is fabulous for cocktails and the sunset. Very laid back and chilled and the food is good. Latchi for a walk along the beach and boat-hire to the Blue Lagoon. Greenhills restaurant above Payia was disappointing. Location wonderful but food and service not that good. Tala is a lovely village for the Monestry. We also went to the Troodos mountains area which was very scenic and much cooler. (Left some details in the folder) Right from the word go, Steven has been extremely helpful and the service has been excellent. Andy, the taxi driver was extremely welcoming-what a lovely guy and a credit to your organisation. He was so hospitable and his enthusiasm for life very uplifting. Robin was a really nice chap. Dealt with any issues (loose pool light) came several times and was always chatty and friendly. Gave us some good tips on places to visit too. We came to Cyprus for a wedding and I'm not sure we would have considered visiting if we hadn't. However, we did love the island and would consider visiting again.''

Review submitted by Cris from Chatham - (Submitted:30/11/2014) ''Thank you we had a very nice time as did our guests. The villa was very comfortable and well laid out, the kitchen is very well equipped and clean. Lovely outside space and views. Location was stunning. Sea-Ray café near Lara was very good and also O’Neills irish pub in Paphos had excellent food. The villa is very close to the E4 walking/hiking route which runs across the island so very convenient to the villa. I was able to get a good range of gluten free foods in Phillippos Supermarket in Coral Bay, the Bakery on the road out of Peyia can make gluten free bread to order so that is good to know. We visit Cyprus regularly during the winter and plan to run more cycling/walking holidays there soon. We would definitely use this property again. You may use our name and if you like our Company name - Bonkersfrog Cycling Holidays - as we aim to run winter cycling/walking holidays in Cyprus and will be using a mixture of hotels and villas depending on the guests’ requirements''.

Maud Prescott Sep 2014

Review submitted by Maud Prescott - (Submitted:25/09/2014) ''Beautifully equipped for people like ourselves who fully self cater. Very clean, comfortable and eveything we wanted. Having beach towels supplied was a luxury. We rarely go back to the same villa twice, but this villa might have changed our minds. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice neighbours who said it had been a pleasure to have us there! Views are spectacular. We ate all our meals on the terrace and sat in the evening in comfort playing Trivial Pursuit until the early hours. As this was our fifth consecutive visit to this area there was nothing to add to those comments in the visitors book. Completely satisfued with your service. The instructions on how to reach the villa were excellent, bearing in mind it is not the easiest place to find.. General service throughout booking procedure excellent. Robin responded very quickly to solve the problem with the pool light. As a lot of flights from the UK now arrive very late( it was nearly 10pm before we got to the villa) perhaps some small additions to the welcome pack, of say 6 eggs-orange juice-jam, would make it easy to have breakfast next morning before going to the shops. This is not criticism but a suggestion. We have rented villas for 24 years and have always found these items in welcome packs.'' Agent Note: Many thanks for your feedback. Many villas do not provide any kind of welcome pack but we have now agreed with the owner of this villa to provide the extra items as suggested. Many thanks again

Review submitted by Julie from Glasgow - (Submitted:17/07/2014) Villa Naxos was a fantastic villa in a very peaceful location with fabulous views. The villa was very spacious and had everything you need. Very nicely decorated and looks exactly like the pictures. The location of villa naxos was very peaceful and had fantastic views over Pafos. Restaurants we would recommend are, Peyia Tavern - best meze we had, Tzianavaros Mediterranean Restaurant Coral Bay - fabulous food and service. Go Karts in Coral Bay - great for children and adults. Dyionsos bar Peyia for cocktails. Grande for bar snacks/meals. Very satisfied with the service provided. All questions were answered and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Again very satisfied with local manager. We thought it was a really good idea for Angela to come and introduce herself and nothing was too much trouble.

Review submitted by Laura from Hampshire - (Submitted:05/06/2014) We had a wonderful holiday, thank you. The villa was perfect for our needs and we particularly liked the location which had fabulous views. We will definitely be visiting Cyprus again in the near future, and we are currently looking to book another holiday in the summer to the Mediterranean. We would definitely recommend Villa Naxos to everyone! I would also recommend hiring a car as we did, as this opens up the whole of Cyprus to explore, in particularly the restaurant "The Last Castle" which is located north of Coral Bay. No menu, just great food. Thank you for all your help in booking such a wonderful villa!

Review submitted by Fionna from Hertforshire - (Submitted:21/07/2013) The villa was absolutely perfect. We booked 2 villas next door to each other as it was for a family birthday. Both villas were lovely and were as per the pictures on the website which was a pleasant change as Ive booked villas before and the pictures have always been 4-5 years out of date so we could not fault it at all. The view from the rooms and the terrace were amazing. The location was great, away from everything during the day but very close to restaurants in the evening. On this trip we found a few new restaurants which we loved, we went to ONiros which is near the Ship wreck outside Coral Bay it was lovely simple fresh food and beautiful Cocktails. We also discovered another restaurant close by to this one which was Greek and the fish they served was absolutely lovely, The restaurant was called Yialos. The service was excellent and the people were very friendly. The Brewery Bar in Peyia was also very good and the entertainment in the evening at the weekend was quite fun. Would definitely recommend it. I would also recommend a visit to the restaurant at the Last Castle it is a very interesting experience through part of the Akamas Peninsula before heading up to the hills there. Definitely worth a visit. The service provided was very good and would most definitely recommend your company to others. Steven provided great service when I was arranging the holiday - I couldnt have asked for more

Review submitted by Mandy from London (Submitted:11/08/2012) It was just what we were looking for.....in a quiet location with a good view and very well equipped. Perfect...peaceful, not over looked and away from the crowds. We recommend Lara beach.....but be prepared for rough roads. Latchi beach. The Last Castle to eat.....on way to Lara Beach. Fresh a new restaurant just outside Coral Bay. Very good service. Angela recommended many good places to go and it was good to know we had someone nearby if things went wrong! "

Review submitted by Andrew from London - (Submitted:27/10/2012) "The property was exceptional. Well equipped, stylish, spacious and very clean. Superb outdoor space. The view is magnificent. Absolute bliss if you are seeking silence - only the cackle of magpies or the distant thunder pierced the calm of the hilltop setting. The actual area itself is fine although without a car, thing would have been harder. There is an excellent local supermarket in Peyia. Lara beach is an absolute must but a bit of advice: hire a quad or buggy for the day as the track to get there is not at friendly plus its far more fun! "

Review submitted by Sue from Essex - (Submitted: 20/07/2011) "We absolutely loved the villa and cannot fault it. Whist we did not love the Coral Bay resort itself we loved the fact that the villa was very much set back from this and we could venture in and out when we fancied. The villa is actually even bigger/better than the pictures on the website and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Many thanks for the return of the deposit and the vouchers. Kind regards, Sue"

Best Villa we have stayed in aywhere by far. Very, very private. Views are amazing. You can hear a pin dro p in the afternoons whilst sitting watching the Sunset. Very nicely fusnished also. 10 out of 10. Many thanks indeed. Matthew and Ruth from Hong Kong - Oct 08
